SI CK LEAVE. Employees shall be eligible for four (4) hours of sick pay for every calendar month of scheduled working days without any attendance violations, up to a maximum of six (6) days annually. Employees with approvedtimeoff leave must work a minimum sixteen (16) days in that calendar month. Sick pay may not be cashed in. Sick pays may not be carried over from year to year. Sick Pay will not be used for the purposes of calculating over time. Sick pay will not be paid out upon termination Sick Leave will not be considered approved time off. All full time employees that are not in probationary status are eligible for this sick pay benefit Employees may donate any sick pay that they have earned to another eligible employee for the purposes of assisting a fellow employee during a time of hardship.

SI CK LEAVE. 1. Employees who are employed on a regularly scheduled basis of half time of more shall accrue sick leave at the rate equivalent to one (1) day for each month worked. Any employee shall receive the accrual providing they work fifty percent (50%) of the scheduled month worked. The use of accrued sick leave shall be limited to instances of personal illness of the employees including medical appointments.

SI CK LEAVE a. All full-time Employees covered by this Agreement and with more than one (1)year of actual service shall be granted a sick leave with pay for fi8een (15) working days per calendar year.

  • Sick Leave The employee is eligible for long term disability benefits if provided for in the Collective Agreement. An employee will not receive pay for the first two (2) weeks of any period of absence due to a legitimate illness. The employee may utilize the paid holiday bank as income replacement for absences due to illness, as described in Article (c) above. An employee who is eligible may apply for Employment Insurance for weeks three (3) through seventeen (17) for any absence due to a legitimate illness. The Home will provide the employee with Disability Income Protection as per Article 14.01 (c) for weeks eighteen (18) through thirty (30) for any absence due to a legitimate illness. Employees may be required to provide medical proof of illness for any absence of a scheduled shift, which is neither vacation nor an approved leave of absence.

  • SICK LEAVE AND BEREAVEMENT LEAVE Section 1. a. Employees shall be eligible to use paid sick leave after 30 calendar days of service with the Employer.   • Sick Leaves a. After the first year of full-time employment, a full-time faculty member who, by reason of personal illness or a medically certified disability is incapable of performing the regular duties of a faculty member, shall be entitled to a sick leave, with full pay (in lieu of contract salary which otherwise would be earned), for a period not to exceed six months. In no event, however, shall the University’s payment for sick leave exceed one-half (1/2) of the faculty member’s then prevailing annual contract salary. If the faculty member receives governmental disability benefits and/or workers’ compensation benefits during the period of absence, the faculty member shall be paid the difference between the benefits received and the benefits provided above.

  • Vacation Leave A part-time employee shall earn vacation leave credits for each month in which the employee receives pay for at least twice the number of hours in the employee’s normal workweek, at the rate for years of service established in clause 34.02 of this Agreement, prorated and calculated as follows:

  • Paid Sick Leave Employees shall earn and be granted paid sick leave according to the following provisions:

  • Unpaid Sick Leave The City Manager shall, upon the advice and recommendation of the City physician, grant unpaid sick leave for up to one (1) year upon application of any employee whose paid sick leave is exhausted. Any extension of such leave shall be subject to the Civil Service Board rules.

  • Accrued Sick Leave The Board shall provide all employees with a cumulative record 23 of accrued sick leave hours on each pay statement.

  • SICK LEAVE OF ABSENCE 25.01 Employees, who are permitted to go home due to non- occupational illness or injury, will not be paid for the remainder of their shift.

  • Family Sick Leave An employee may use Family Sick Leave for the illness of a member of the employee's immediate family who requires the care and assistance of the employee. Up to eighty (80) hours per calendar year of the employee’s accumulated unused sick leave may be used for this purpose.

  • Sick Leave Pay A Nurse granted sick leave shall be paid for the period of such leave at her or his regular hourly rate of pay and the number of hours thus paid shall be deducted from the accumulated sick leave credits of the Nurse.
