STEWARDS AND COMMITTEES. 7.01 (a) The Company agrees to recognize two (2) Union stewards as appointed by the Union for the purpose of processing grievances and attending meetings with management in the administration of this Agreement on behalf of employees covered hereunder. The Union shall notify the Company in writing of the names of such stewards at the time of their appointment and the Company shall not be required to recognize any xxxxxxx until it has been so notified.
STEWARDS AND COMMITTEES. 6.01 The Company acknowledges the right of the Union to appoint or otherwise select from the Union membership, stewards, who will comprise a plant committee, one of which will be the Chief Xxxxxxx who will be the chairperson of the said committee. The Company will recognize the said committee for the purpose of handling any grievance arising out of the administration of this Collective Agreement.

At any meetings with the Company, the Committees may be accompanied by a full-time representative of the Union. The Company shall be notified in writing by the proper officials of the Union the names of the stewards and the committee members, and of any changes in same, before the Company will recognize them. It is agreed that during working hours the discussions of grievances between stewards and employ- ees will as far as is practical, be kept to a minimum. If it is necessary for a xxxxxxx, committee member orotheremployeetotaketimeoffduring working hours in connection with Union business, he must obtain permis- sion from his immediate supervisor. Such permission shall not unreasonably be withheld. One member of the Union Executive shall be designated to conduct joint union management activities. Such individual shall be entitled to time off under this article. Stewards and Committee members who in accor- dance with the preceding section have received authori- zation, will be paid their regular basic hourly rate for time spent attending scheduled meetings. Other than specifically permitted in this Article or provided elsewhere in this Agreement, there will be no solicitation of members or other Union activity during working hours. In the interests of sound relationship, the Union agrees that this Committee, to be completely representative of the working force within the bargaining unit, shall consist of employees of each department in the plant. In the event a continuous shift is instituted, up to two additional Stewards will be recognized. Should the total number of bargaining unit employees exceed ninety (90), the Union reserves the ability to appoint up to an additional two (2) Stewards.

STEWARDS AND COMMITTEES. 5.1 The Company acknowledges the right of the Union to elect or appoint a negotiating committee of not more than three (3) employees. The Company further acknowledges that any three (3) of the above constitute the grievance committee, to assist employees with the presentation of grievances to the Company. In addition the Company will recognize eight (8) stewards to assist employees in presenting grievances to the Company at the first stage of the grievance procedure. It is understood that committee persons and stewards shall have no less than six (6) months of service with the Company in order to hold a position within the Union.
