Vacation Leave Payout. This payout provision applies to a member, who has completed five (5) years of service and, as of October 30 of each year has accrued but unused vacation hours in excess of two (2) times their annual accrual of vacation leave. Such a member may make written application to the Finance Office between November 1st and November 30th of each year of this agreement to cash in no more than forty (40) hours in excess of two (2) times their annual accrual of vacation leave. The written application shall be time-stamped in order of receipt. Provided that funding is available, the payout shall be made to the members in the order that the applications were received. It shall be paid no later than when the check is issued for the second pay period in January of the year following such request. The payout will be made at the member's hourly rate of pay at the time of payout.

Vacation Leave Payout. An employee who is laid off, is terminated, or terminates after six (6) full months of State service shall be paid upon separation for accrued vacation time except as provided to offset for damages or misappropriation of State property or equipment. Employees on military leave of absence may request payment for accrued vacation.
Vacation Leave Payout. This payout provision applies to a member who, as of October 30 of each year has accrued but unused vacation hours in excess of two times his annual accrual of vacation leave. Such a member may make written application to the Finance Office between November 1 and November 30 to cash in no more than one hundred sixty (160) hours in excess of two times his annual accrual of vacation leave. The written application shall be time-stamped in order of receipt. Provided that funding is available, the payout shall be made to the members in the order that the applications were received. It shall be paid no later than when the check is issued for the second pay period in January of the year following such request. The payout will be made at the member’s hourly rate of pay at the time of payout. Vacation credit in excess of three (3) times the allowed maximum accrual will be eliminated by pay period from the employee’s vacation leave balance except as herein provided. This elimination will not occur provided the member submits a vacation leave request at least sixty (60) days in advance of the time off requested and the time off request is denied. If the member submits a vacation leave request, as required above, and the time off request is denied, the member will be able to accrue vacation leave in excess of the maximum accrual in an amount not to exceed the amount of time denied. The member then shall have ninety (90) days from the date of denial in which to use this time. Failure to use this time within these ninety (90) days will result in such time being eliminated from the member's maximum accrual.
Vacation Leave Payout a. Upon written notice of resignation to the District prior to resignation of employment, an employee hired before July 1, 2016 shall be entitled to receive at separation of employment the value of the prorated accrued vacation leave days earned by such employee during their first year of employment as a bargaining unit member and the value of any unused carryover credit from the year before and any prorated unused vacation days during their final year of employment.
Vacation Leave Payout. Employees who resign their employment must provide at least two (2) weeks’ written notice of resignation to their supervisor and Human Resources to receive a pay out of their accrued, unused Vacation Leave. Employees who are terminated by the Employer for misconduct or for job abandonment (2 consecutive no call/no shows) are not entitled to receive any Vacation Leave pay out.
