VACATIONS VACATION PAY. (a) Commencing with the vacation schedule of May 7th, 1987, employees having less than one (1) year of service on May 1st in any year, shall be entitled upon the completion of their probationary period, to a credit of one (1) day vacation with pay for each month of service, to a maximum of ten (10) working days vacation with pay at the rate of four percent (4%) of their gross earnings. (b) Employees with one (1) year or more service at April 30th of any year, shall receive two (2) weeks vacation with pay (4% of gross earnings). (c) Employees with three (3) years or more service as of April 30th of any year, shall receive three (3) weeks vacation with pay (6% of gross earnings). (d) Employees with eight (8) years or more service as of April 30th of any year, shall receive four (4) weeks vacation with pay (8% of gross earnings). (e) Employees with twelve (12) years or more service as of April 30th of any year, shall receive five (5) weeks vacation with pay (10% of gross earnings). (f) Employees with twenty (20) years or more service as of April 30th of any year, shall receive six (6) weeks vacation with pay (12% of gross earnings).

Employees who have ten (10) years but less than (15) years of service will receive four (4) weeks vacation with pay equal to eight (8) percent of their gross earnings for the twelve month period immediately pre- ceding June I of each year or one hundred and sixty (160) hours' pay whichever is greater; provided that if the employee has less than compensated hours during the twelve month period immediately pre- ceding June 1st in each year, he shall be en- titled only to the percentage of his gross earnings.

VACATIONS VACATION PAY. 7.01 After completion of one year of continuous service, each regular employee shall be entitled to a vacation with pay provided they meet the requirements set forth in this Article. 7.02 The vacation year shall be from May 1st to April 30th. For computation purposes, the vacation year will end with the pay period closest to April 30th. The following year will begin from that pay period. 7.03 Vacations earned in any vacation year must be taken during the next vacation year. The following do not constitute interruption of continuous service: -Lay-offs of up to a maximum of one year; -Industrial disability subject to W.C.B.; -Personal illness or injury to a combined maximum of one year; -Personal leaves or Union leaves to a combined maximum of 60 days. 7.06 The amount of vacation pay shall be based upon 2% of the total earnings as stated in article 7.2 for each week of vacation.
