Compensation for Holiday Work. Employees who work on an observed holiday shall be paid 1.5 times their regular rate of pay for such hours worked. In addition, the employees shall receive their regular pay for the holiday.
Compensation for Holiday Work. When an employee’s work schedule requires him/her to work on an observed holiday, the employee shall be paid at the premium overtime rate of one and one-half (1 ½) of their regular rate of pay, including any shift differential. In addition, the employee receives either eight (8) hours of holiday pay or compensatory time at the regular straight-time rate, including any shift differential. Holiday pay, as used in this section only, is not considered as hours worked for the purposes of determining overtime.

Compensation for Holiday Work. If an employee is asked and works a holiday, the pay will be two [2] times the regular rate (holiday pay plus regular rate). If all employees in a classification refuse the work offered, the least senior shall be required to work.

An employee required to work on any day which is a holiday for employees whose work week is Monday through Friday shall be paid for the number of hours worked during such day at the rate of one and one-half (1½) times the straight-time rate, based upon the employee's regular monthly salary, or shall be granted compensatory time off in an amount equal to one and one-half (1½) times the number of hours worked on such holiday. Any employee who works on Christmas Day or Thanksgiving Day shall be paid double time for that day. The hours worked on such a holiday and paid at the rate herein provided shall not be credited in computing the hours worked in the week for overtime purposes. The holiday pay provided for shall be in addition to an employee's regular salary. In the event that the time worked on such a holiday is also overtime, as provided in Section 15 of this Agreement, payment will be made for the hours worked either 2021 – 2024 Memorandum Agreement City of Berkeley SEIU Local 1021 Maintenance and Clerical Chapters as overtime under said Section 15, or as holiday pay under this Section 20, but will not be made under both Sections.
Compensation for Holiday Work. If the employee is required to work on a paid holiday, he/she will receive his/her pay for a normal day plus being paid for the number of hours he/she actually works. Bus drivers will be paid twice the trip rate for July 4 holiday starting July 2019.

Compensation for Holiday Work. A non-exempt employee who is required to work on a holiday shall be paid at the regular straight time rate of pay based on their appointment time base. In addition, at the employee’s discretion, he/she will receive pay at the regular straight time rate of pay or holiday leave credit for all hours actually worked on the holiday. Exempt employees will be paid at the regular straight time rate of pay for the day. In addition he/she will receive holiday credit for all hours actually worked on the holiday.
Compensation for Holiday Work. Librarians will be paid at the regular straight time rate of pay for the day. In addition, he/she will receive holiday credit equivalent to a day off. This will be prorated for part-time employees.
