(a) Engineers sent to a jobsite by Local 324 where Engineers are required to be certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) by the owner employing the contractor must have successfully completed the Crane Operator Certification as of June 1, 2004; Engineers will also maintain a valid certification.

REPAIRPERSON TRAINING PROGRAM Repairperson training is a 36-month program requiring an employee to be trained in the following: • Cargo container and trailer refinishing including carpentry, painting, nonstructural welding, electrical and air-conditioning/heat pump installation. • Remodeling and repairing offices and other structures. This may include carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing and air-conditioning/heat pump work. • Fiberglass repair and painting. • Painting vehicles, equipment, tools and components. • Building, staining and varnishing wood products including desks, book cabinets, etc. • Miscellaneous maintenance repair work in the Xxxxx Service Center During the training program, the employee must have a minimum of six months of “on the job” training in each field to be eligible for the next pay increase. The following is a listing of field competencies, by field, for a Repairperson: CARPENTRY • Use and care of hand and stationary power tools. • Measurements. • Frame walls and ceilings. • Sub-flooring. • Window installation. • Install interior doors (swing and pocket). • Install metal doors. • Construct room additions and building extensions. • Install sheet rock or paneling. • Patch holes in sheet rock. • Build and install desks and cabinets. • Build and install formica counter tops. • Install base cove and complete trim work. • Read and construct from blueprints. • Utilize Title 8 Regulations, National Electrical Code, Building Codes, Plumbing and Mechanical Code and PG&E Standard Practices as applicable to the job. PAINTING/FIBERGLASS • Sanding and masking vehicles, equipment and tools • Determine mixing ratios and mix primers, polyurethane paints and waterborne paints. • Proper use and care of H.V.L.P. spray equipment • Stencil and sign making. • Knowledge of paint products and thinners as pertaining to hazardous waste management. • Inspect baskets, booms, hot sticks, auxiliary boom arms, mast head booms and any other fiberglass components for structural cracks. • Mix lay-up resins, epoxy resins and polyurethane elastomers. • Lay and finish fiberglass. • Prepare and pour molds for basket bottoms. • Test all hot line equipment with A.B. Crane operator. Is an employee who can safely operate a crane, jitney and other devices to maintain the die storage area and coil storage area in a neat, safe and organized manner The crane operator may also be required to perform other duties as required. This does not restrict or limit the use of the crane by other employees.
Crane operator. Metal frames and pre- stressed concrete: In the case of metal frame or prestressed concrete erection work requiring more than one (1) day of work overall, any crane operator assigned to such work who reports to work at the appointed time whose working hours during a day are less than 5 hours or whose remuneration for a work day is less than 5 hours’ pay at his wage rate, is entitled to show-up pay equal to 5 hours’ pay at his wage rate, minus any remuneration already earned for work per- formed during said day. The employer may require that such employee remain at its disposal during the paid waiting time.
Crane operator. Operates Rough Terrain and Truck Mounted Hydraulic, Fixed Cab Hydraulic, Crawler and Truck Mounted Lattice Boom cranes (NCCCO certifications are required for all mobile cranes). Operates Track Hoe and Overhead Gantries (as assigned). Cranes may be equipped for hoisting material or for earth movement by dragline. Crane Operator needs to be capable of acquiring the skills necessary to operate specialized robotics through provided training. National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO): The Employer agrees to reimburse all fees associated with obtaining NCCCO certifications for MSA employees who are covered by requirements, including NCCCO renewal costs. If the employee fails a test, the employer will pay to retest only once. Employees will be allowed on-the-job study time, however job assignments and performance of the work take precedence over study. Employees must meet all job requirements to transfer to posted openings. Employee who are selected for positions requiring NCCCO certifications, and who do not possess the necessary certifications will normally be given thirty (30) calendar days to obtain the required certifications. The Employer will agree to reimburse all fees associated with obtaining NCCCO certifications for current employees who have previously obtained these certifications on their own. The employee will be responsible for providing the necessary documentation for reimbursement. NCCCO certifications are required to operate any mobile crane. Any current employee who has not obtained the four (4) certifications required by MSA Crane & Rigging, will work toward obtaining those remaining. It is the Company’s position that when there is a Crane Operator who is available and not supporting a project, the Company will assign a Crane Operator to existing Track-Hoe work, if available, to gain experience operating the Track-Hoe.
