DUES AND CHECK OFF. 22.01 The Company shall deduct from the wages of each employee such sum as may be uniformly assessed by the Union Constitution/Bylaws subject to the conditions set forth herein. Such deductions shall be made from the bi-weekly wages owing an employee. The amount to be deducted shall not be changed except to confirm with a change to the Union's Constitution/Bylaws. 22.02 When authorized by the employee and advised by the Union in writing, the Company will deduct the one-time initiation fee. 22.03 Deductions shall commence on the payroll for the first applicable pay period of the calendar month following the first date of employment in a classification covered by this agreement. 22.04 If the wages of an employee payable for any pay period are insufficient to permit a full deduction, no such deduction shall be made from the wages of such employee on that payroll. The Company shall not, because the employee did not have sufficient wages payable on any payroll, carry forward and deduct from any subsequent wages the amount not deducted in an earlier payroll. 22.05 Amounts deducted hereunder shall be paid by cheque payable to the Union and remitted by mail to the Union, accompanied by a statement of deductions from individuals, not later than thirty (30) calendar days following the pay period in which the deductions are made. 22.06 The Union agrees to indemnify the Company and save it harmless against any and all claims which may arise in complying with the provisions of Article 22.

DUES AND CHECK OFF. The School District shall deduct from the salaries of Teachers, such monies for the Association and its affiliated organizations as said Teachers individually authorize the School District to so deduct. Commencing in September and each month thereafter the School District shall deduct in equal installments the monies that the Teacher has agreed to pay the Association during the period provided in the individual's authorization. New authorizations when received by the School District during the school year will be deducted in equal installments over the remaining monthly payments of the Teacher's Salary.
DUES AND CHECK OFF. 7.01 The Company shall deduct Union dues including, where applicable, initiation fees and assessments, on a monthly basis, from the wages of each employee covered by this Agreement. The amount of dues shall be calculated in accordance with the Union’s Constitution. Each employee in the bargaining unit shall be required as a condition of employment to have an amount equivalent to the regular weekly Union dues deducted from his pay on each pay period. All employees shall become and remain members of the Union as a condition of employment. 7.02 All dues, initiation fees and assessments shall be remitted to the Union forthwith and in any event no later than fifteen (15) days following the last day of the month in which the remittance was deducted. The remittance shall be sent to the International Secretary Treasurer of the United Steel, Paper and Forestry, Rubber, Manufacturing, Energy, Allied Industrial and Service Workers International Union (UNITED STEELWORKERS), X.X. Xxx 00000 Xxxxxx Xxxxxxx “A”, Xxxxxxx, Xxxxxxx, X0X 0X0 in such form as shall be directed by the Union to the Company along with a completed Dues Remittance Form R115. A copy of the Dues Remittance Form R115 will also be sent to the Union office designated by the Area Coordinator. 7.03 The remittance and the R115 Form shall be accompanied by a statement containing the following information: i) A list of the names of all employees from whom dues were deducted and the amount of dues deducted; ii) A list of the names of all employees from whom no deductions have been made and the reasons why; iii) This information shall be sent to both the Union address identified in Article 7.02 above, in such form as shall be directed by the Union to the Company. 7.04 The Union shall indemnify and save the Company harmless against all claims or other forms of liability that may arise out of any actions taken by the Company in compliance with this Article. 7.05 The Company, when preparing T-4 slips for the employees, will enter the amount of Union dues paid by the employee during the previous year.
DUES AND CHECK OFF. As a condition of employment or continued employment, the Employer will deduct from each employee in the bargaining unit an amount equivalent to the union dues currently in effect in accordance with the Constitution and the By-Laws of the Union. The amount so deducted shall be remitted by the Employer to the National Secretary-Treasurer of the Union on or before the twentieth (20th) day of the month following the month in which such deductions were made unless otherwise required by law. Such remittance shall be accompanied by a list of employees on whose behalf the deductions were made. A copy shall be forwarded to the Local Treasurer. The Union shall further advise the Employer by the fifth (5th) day of the month in which dues are to be paid of any changes in the amount of dues to be deducted from each employee in the Bargaining Unit.

WRITERS GUILD OF AMERICA "I, the undersigned, hereby authorize and direct American Broadcasting Companies, Inc., to check-off from my wages my union initiation fees (to be prorated over twelve (12) weeks), union membership dues, and assessments uniformly required as promulgated by the Union according to the procedure set forth in the Constitution of the WGA. The dues, fees, and assessments which are so deducted from my wages are hereby assigned and shall be remitted to the Writers Guild of America, East, Inc., 000 Xxxxxx Xxxxxx, 7th Floor, New York, New York 10013. This authorization and assignment shall be irrevocable for the term of the applicable collective bargaining contract between the Guild and the Company or, for a period of one year from the date appearing hereon, whichever is sooner, and shall automatically renew itself for successive yearly periods or applicable contract periods whichever is sooner, unless and until I give written notice to terminate to the Company and the Guild at least twenty (20) days prior to the expiration date of the present contract or the one-year period from date of signature. If no such notice is given, my authorization shall be irrevocable for successive periods of one year thereafter with the same privilege of revocation at the end of each such period".
DUES AND CHECK OFF. 8.01 The Employer shall deduct and pay out of the wages and/or salary due to the employee the appropriate union dues and assessments, as established by the Union. The University shall remit the amount deducted to the Treasurer of the Local Union by the end of the month in which deductions were made and at that same time forward a list of names of the employees from whom the deductions were made. In October and February of each academic year, the University shall also provide the Union with available contact information of all bargaining unit members, as available through the current Payroll system. The Secretary­Treasurer of the Union shall notify the University in writing of any change in the amount of union dues, and such notification shall be the University’s conclusive authority to make the deductions specified. The Union shall provide the names of all representatives in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement and shall continue to update the University with any changes to that list. Upon request, the Department of Human Resources, will provide any available information necessary to assist the Union in completing CALURA surveys as required by Federal and Provincial legislation. 8.02 The Employer shall indicate the monthly deduction of dues on each employee’s pay. 8.03 The University will show the amount of Union dues paid by an employee on the employee’s income tax T­4 statement. 8.04 The Union agrees to indemnify and save the University harmless against all claims or other forms of liability that may arise out of, or by reason of, deductions made or payments made in accordance with this Article.

The Employer agrees to deduct from the wages of any employee who is a member, or elects to become a member of the Union, all Union membership dues and initiation fees uniformly required, if any, as provided in a written authorization in accordance with the standard form used by the Employer, that the said form shall be executed by the employee. The Written Authorization for Union Dues Deduction shall remain in full force and effect during the period of this contract and may be revoked only by written notice by the employee given during the period thirty (30) days immediately prior to expiration of this contract. The termination must be given both to the Employer and the Union. b. Dues and initiation fees will be authorized, levied, and certified, in accordance with the Constitution and By-Laws of the Local Union. Each employee and the Union hereby authorize the Employer to rely upon and to honor certification by the Secretary-Treasurer of the Local Union, regarding the amounts to be deducted and the legality of the adopting action specifying such amounts of Union dues and/or initiation fees. c. The Employer agrees to provide this service without charge to the Union. d. An Authorization Form for payroll deduction will be supplied by the Union. The appropriate copy of this Form shall be forwarded to the Chapter chairperson. e. There shall be no discrimination, interference, restraint, or coercion by the Employer or any of its agents against members of the Union because of membership therein.

DUES AND CHECK OFF. 5.1. The Employer shall regularly deduct from the GTA hourly wages (inclusive of vacation pay) of each member of the bargaining unit such dues or other assessments as are uniformly and regularly payable by a member of the Union, as certified in writing to the Employer by the Secretary-Treasurer of the Union. 5.2. The Employer shall remit the amount deducted in accordance with this Article no later than the 15th day of the month following the month in which such deductions were made, and at the same time shall forward a list of names of the persons from whom deductions were made and the amount of each individuals' earnings and deduction to the National Secretary-Treasurer of CUPE. 5.3. The University will show the amount of Union dues paid by the employees on the pay stubs and will clearly indicate “Union Dues” next to the deduction. 5.4. The Union agrees to defend and hold the University completely harmless against all claims, demands, and expenses should any person, at any time, contend or claim that the University has acted wrongfully or illegally in making such Union dues deductions. 5.5. The Employer agrees to provide the Union with the following information: a. Union Dues Report – A hard copy list that includes the following information will be provided no more than (5) calendar days after each bi-weekly pay where union dues deductions have been made from a member’s pay: for all employees who have held an appointment in the current calendar year, employee number, name, address, union dues for current pay period, and union dues deducted for the current calendar year.
DUES AND CHECK OFF. Section 1. Upon written notice from the Secretary-Treasurer of Local 5344 certifying and providing written authorization from the Member agreeing to deduct regular, monthly union dues from the earned wages of those Members represented by the Union, the City will commence such deductions at the next regular pay period of the member. Such deductions shall continue until notice by the Union that the Member is no longer a Member of the Union. If that occurs, the City will cease Dues Check Off within thirty (30) days of notice to the City. Section 2. Changes in the amount of dues will be certified in the same manner and shall be done at least thirty Section 3. All eligible Members desiring dues deduction shall individually sign an authorization form provided by the Union. Authorization may be withdrawn by the Member by providing written notice to the City at least thirty (30) days prior to the Section 4. The City will deduct only union dues from the Member's paycheck and will not deduct initiation fees, special assessments, fines, or other union fees. No deductions will be made when the salary to be paid a Member is not sufficient to cover the amount to be deducted. Section 5. The total amount deducted shall be remitted to the Treasurer of the Union. A check for the proper amount will be mailed to the Union treasurer within fifteen (15) calendar days after the deduction is made by the City. The City will provide the Union Treasurer with a monthly report showing the Member’s name and amount deducted. All deductions refundable at the time of termination or resignation will be refunded by the Union. Section 6. The union will pay the Employer a reasonable bookkeeping fee each month not to exceed five percent (5%) of the total amount of deductions. Section 7. The Union agrees to be responsible for refunding any deductions which are refundable when an employee resigns or is terminated. The union further agrees to be responsible for making a proper adjustment with the employee affected if the Employer makes an error or improper deduction and also agrees to indemnify and hold the Employer harmless as to claims made, or suits instituted against the Employer on account for payroll deductions for Union dues.
