Employee Incentive Program. Employees shall be eligible for the Employee Referral Bonus Program as provided in the Personnel Policies and Practices Resolution #98-394 (A.49.2.a.). See attachment for administrative procedures.

If adequate space is not readily available within the respective units, and if staffing allows as determined by the Employer, the mental health worker may absent themselves from the immediate activity area.

38.3. The Employer will provide a secure place where employees' personal property may be stored.
38.4. A conference shall be called by the director of nursing or their designee in the event that a patient/patients are received in a particular unit who represents a safety or security concern to the employees of unit. Such conference shall be for the purpose of informing all staff of the unit of special conditions concerning the patient/patients involved.
38.5. a. No employee shall be required to attend meetings, classes or other events connected with work on off-duty time without receiving proper compensation. This shall not be construed to mean that any employee may not willingly choose to attend such meetings or events even if no compensation for off-duty time spent in this way is forthcoming.

B. To be eligible for tuition reimbursement, all of the following criteria must be met.
1. The applicant must have approval of the Superintendent or his designee prior to taking the course. For teachers, the Superintendent’s approval is required in writing before registering for courses or degree programs.
2. The applicant must receive a mark equivalent to "A", "B" or "Pass" in a Pass/Fail course.
3. No employee will be reimbursed for more than twelve (12) semester hours credit completed during any one fiscal year.
4. Reimbursement for teachers shall be at the in-state tuition rate per semester hours (or the out-of-state rate for employees living outside New Jersey but taking a course in New Jersey) prevailing at Rowan University or the actual tuition cost of the course, whichever is less. Reimbursement for support staff shall be at the Salem County Community College Rate.

In order to attract and retain key individuals of the Company, the Parties agree that the Company will establish an incentive program (the “Employee Incentive Program”), which might be based on virtual or actual stock options with customary terms and conditions as agreed by the Company. Employee Incentive Program. To encourage employee participation in finding ways to improve the AMS by proposing changes for more efficient methods of working, new cost-saving measures, ideas for additional revenue sources and improvements in workplace safety.
a) The committee shall be made up of one (1) Employer representative, chosen by the Employer; and one (1) Union representative, voted on by the membership,
b) The committee shall meet at least once per year for planning purposes and from two [2] to four [4] times per year as submissions warrant.
c) The committee shall review all submissions and recognize all new ideas by publishing staff members name and brief description in the AMS Staff Newsletter, including a follow-up to communicate how the idea is being implemented and/or if the idea has been successful.
d) If a new idea is implemented, an appropriate bonus to be determined by the committee will be paid to the employee depending on the impact on our workplace. The bonus will range from a minimum of five dollars [$5.00] to a maximum of one thousand dollars [$1,000.00].
e) To encourage participation, once each year all submission names, implemented or not, will be placed into a draw and the winner will receive a one hundred dollar [$100.00] prize.

All such courses must be offered by a school recognized or accredited by the State of New Jersey or a Health Care Agency accredited by the State of New Jersey.
B. The amount of Board reimbursement for the entire bargaining unit shall be as follows:
1. Beginning in the 2010-2011 contract year this money shall be allocated as follows:
a. In the contract years, 2010-2013, $4,000 shall be allocated for courses taken during the summer semester. Any money not used during the summer period shall be carried over to the fall and spring semesters.
b. In the contract years, 2010-2013, $16,000 shall be allocated for courses taken during each of the fall and spring semesters.
2. For reimbursement all criteria under C. or D. below must be met.
3. Provided criteria under C. or D. below are met course approval will guarantee payment in accordance with the provisions of paragraphs 1 and 2 above provided that the total annual limitation of $20,000 has not been exceeded.
4. Approval shall be granted on a first come first served basis.
5. If more employees ask for course approval than there is money to reimburse them in a given semester, then those employees who did not get approval will be at the top of the list for approval in the next semester.
6. First Priority in the fall semester will be given to anyone who was rolled over from the summer semester due to insufficient funds. Second priority will go to employees who did not request approval for a course in the summer semester. Third priority will go to employees requesting approval for a second course.
7. First priority in the spring semester will be given to anyone who was rolled over from the fall semester due to insufficient funds. Second priority will go to employees who did not request approval for a course in either the summer or the fall semester. Third priority will go to employees requesting approval for a second course. Fourth priority will go to employees who are requesting a third course.
8. Employees not approved for courses in the spring semester will not roll over into the following contract year.

d. An employee shall not be entitled to compensation under this article if the class, meeting, or other event is canceled in its entirety prior to its scheduled time.
38.6. Employees who work a double shift shall be allowed a thirty minute unpaid rest break between shifts.
38.7. The Employer agrees to utilize the consultation provision of the Collective Bargaining Agreement to discuss proposed major changes as well as Hospital Rules and Regulations affecting working conditions, absent an emergency situation prior to implementation.
