Employer Services. CareerSource Brevard recognizes employers as the economic driver of the region. Contractor will assist area employers to find workforce solutions for a variety of human resource needs, ranging from gathering information for job postings and referring candidates to employers’ current job openings to facilitating and participating in industry-wide projects to address critical skill shortages. WIOA emphasizes engaging employers across the workforce system to align training with needed skills and match employers with qualified workers. WIOA promotes work-based training, incumbent worker training and transitional jobs and other strategies as allowable activities. Contractor staff is assisted by Board Staff Business Liaisons through the BWDB Board Industry Relations Division. CSBCC Contractor staff manage business accounts and provide basic services to any employer in the region while BWDB Business Liaisons provide more intensive services to employers in the region’s key industries. BWDB Business Liaisons represent CareerSource Brevard to regional employers and have the responsibility for communicating employers’ needs to CSBCC Contractor staff. The BWDB Business Liaisons establish regular communications with CSBCC Contractor staff to transmit real-time information on employers’ current needs for workers, labor market trends, and feedback from employers on the services received from the CSBCC. The cooperative flow of information between BWDB Business Liaisons and Contractor staff is vital to the BWDB mission and key in ensuring that businesses are getting the talent they need and job seeking customers are getting linked to employment opportunities which allow for self-sufficiency and future growth. Employer customers will view the CSBCC as a business resource. The business customer will be offered a broad range of services that address the needs of the business community. Employer Services. All WIOA Partners agree, in accordance with each Partner’s authorizing legislation, to make improving business service delivery a priority in terms of meeting the workforce needs of high demand industries. The Business Services Teams (BSTs) at the Chicago Cook One-Stop Centers will be led by The Partnership’s Business Relations and Economic Development Unit (BRED Unit) in supporting the local and regional business community’s growth and stability by leveraging economic and workforce development strategies and resources. The BST and BRED approach toward business is to identify specific workforce needs and leverage public resources and services in order to meet those needs in a timely and effective manner. Available services and resources offered include but are not limited to: labor market information, hiring fairs, on- site recruitment, job candidate pre-screening, basic skills training, on-the-job training (OJT), customized training, fidelity bonding, tax incentives, and information on hiring people with disabilities.
Employer Services. All employers in the workforce development area will receive consistent, quality services through One Stop/AJC staff. Parties will work together to ensure coordination of employer services, recruitment activities, applicant screenings and marketing of job opportunities. Employers will be strongly encouraged to conduct recruitments at the One Stop/ AJC facilities and post job opening in the state job bank. Federal and state contractors who are required to post jobs in the state job bank will be advised of their legal obligations. Recruitment and other business services on behalf of employers, including small employers, under the Xxxxxx-Xxxxxx Act of 1933, as amended by WIOA and under a variety of State laws. These services shall include the following: Business Services as described in WIOA Sec. 134(d)(1)(ix) for Adults and Dislocated Workers may include the following.
Employer Services. Employment Site Development The Consultant shall initiate outreach and recruitment with new and existing employers at the direction of the NYSDOT. The objective is to enhance the TDM product offerings and results at employment sites via a centrally supported and locally executed approach. Integrated work across the three regions shall encourage a continuous exchange of information, the sharing of best practices, the rapid adaptation of successful strategies and improved Employment Site Development. Daily responsibilities for employer relationship management shall be the responsibility of trained and experienced Regional Outreach Coordinators. Regular, structured training and communication among coordinators and other team members across Region 8, Region 10 and Region 11 shall ensure program continuity and effectiveness. The plan includes: setting goals for each employer, maintaining regular contact, seeking referrals, and adding additional services. Led by the Partnership’s Director of Service Delivery, the team shall effectively identify opportunities for program growth throughout the downstate area. High priority opportunities may include:  Geographic needs. Assess and plot existing employer clients throughout downstate and identify gaps where markets may be currently underserved.  Employment growth. Identify new commercial and industrial development or specific industry resulting in increased concentrations of employees within the downstate area.  Other targets. Employers have different interests and reasons to be motivated to action. CANY has provided opportunities for new employer relationships by attracting employers interested in health, environment and sustainability issues, not just transportation. The Consultant shall pursue similarly productive collaboration with 511NY and other stakeholders to increase the number of employer sites served. Outreach Coordinators shall generate leads through referrals, events, and coordination with business organizations. Marketing and communications shall provide materials and communications support to increase awareness to further generate interest and leads. While targeted employers vary a number of common characteristics help the Consultant to qualify good candidates:  Relocating employers are a prime target. Relocation is a time when employees change their routines and are most receptive to changing their travel behaviors. Employer Services. The program implemented by PAEP will assist businesses in identifying gaps in employment needs, change corporate business culture and help add diversity to the workforce. The program assists businesses realize that by hiring individuals with disabilities, performance and retention in some high turnover, entry level positions will increase dramatically. Program effectiveness will be evaluated through the review and assessment of project performance on a monthly basis. XXXX utilizes Employment Planning Meetings (EPM’s) that take place every month with each participant, the LEAD Skills Trainer and Internship Department Manager to discuss progress towards achieving goals as identified in the Individual Service Plan/Plan for Employment. A monthly progress report is generated and included in each participant file. All required reports by the Illinois Workforce Development System (IWDS) will be submitted in a timely manner and the LEAD Employability Instructor will provide status reports and contact with WIOA staff to ensure progress on the program. The program is driven by a strong collaboration of community partners. Collaboration and sharing of resources to meet each of the WIOA services is a key component of the program to generate successful outcomes.
