Extra Duty Hours. An employee who is assigned, required or has prior approval to continue working beyond the basic work week, outside the regular duty day or on non-duty days shall be considered as working extra duty hours. Extra duty hours could include, but are not limited to, training sessions, in-service attendance or student intake meetings. Extra duty hours will be compensated at the hourly rate pro rata of the employee’s contract. One hour of extra duty will be equal to one hour of pay.

Extra Duty Hours. ESPs shall be offered any duties left unperformed or whenever a need for similar duties is created by activities not otherwise covered by existing staff. Availability of these additional duties will be posted as soon as possible and an assignment will be made to staff within the building where the additional duties are needed on a right of first refusal by seniority on a rotational basis. If an additional duty is not filled by staff within the building wherein the additional duties are needed, the additional duty shall be offered to other staff on a right of first refusal by district-wide seniority on a rotational basis. If no staff requests to fill the additional duties needed, the additional duty will be assigned to the staff member in the building where the additional duty is needed with the least amount of seniority on a rotational basis. An overtime calendar/log located in each building will list the date, job, hours, and location of additional duties assigned. The overtime calendar/log will be available to be viewed by all eligible employees in each building to ensure proper assignment of additional duties. If, as a result of completing these additional duties, the selected employee’s hours exceed 40 hours in a regular workweek, the additional hours will be deemed overtime and compensated as follows: For full-time staff: overtime will be paid at 150% of the regular rate with a 2 hour minimum; if the additional duties are performed on Sunday or a holiday, overtime will be paid at 200% of the regular rate with a 2 hour minimum. Two hour minimums shall not apply for part-time staff or staff who regularly work on Saturday or Sunday.
Extra Duty Hours. Full time unit members shall be required to participate in fourteen (14) hours of extra duty hours annually covering events such as athletic events, dances, drama productions, debates, etc. Part-time unit members shall be required to participate in a prorated mount of extra duty hours based upon their work schedule. The Lead Facilitator at each school shall make an attempt to balance this responsibility evenly between all unit members at each school. Facilitators serving as volunteers on the ACLC or Nea Governing Boards for a full school year shall be given credit for the full fourteen (14) hours, or a prorated amount thereof. Facilitators staying overnight on a camping trip or other overnight trip for CLCS shall receive five (5) hours credit for each overnight assignment.
Extra Duty Hours. Full time unit members shall be required to participate in at least twelve (12) hours of extra duty hours annually covering events such as athletic events, dances, drama productions, debates, college or community counseling support events and field trips that occur outside the normal work day, recruitments nights, PTSA or PAC/CCEF meetings or events, camping or overnight experiences, etc as well as set up and clean up for such events. Facilitators staying overnight on a camping trip or other overnight trip for CLCS shall receive eight (8) hours credit for each overnight assignment. Part-time unit members shall be required to participate in a prorated amount of extra duty hours based upon their work schedule. The Lead Facilitator at each school shall make an attempt to balance this responsibility evenly between all unit members at each school.

Extra Duty Hours. 5.7.1 The application of this section as it relates to Extra Ordinary Duty Hours is an interim arrangement pending the development of a Departmental or whole of Government employment arrangement relating to Special Deployments. Upon the introduction of any new arrangements, the following conditions will no longer apply to Senior Officers and such arrangements will no longer be deemed to be part of this Agreement.
