Extra Duty Hours. An employee who is assigned, required or has prior approval to continue working beyond the basic work week, outside the regular duty day or on non-duty days shall be considered as working extra duty hours. Extra duty hours could include, but are not limited to, training sessions, in-service attendance or student intake meetings. Extra duty hours will be compensated at the hourly rate pro rata of the employee’s contract. One hour of extra duty will be equal to one hour of pay.

Extra Duty Hours. ESPs shall be offered any duties left unperformed or whenever a need for similar duties is created by activities not otherwise covered by existing staff. Availability of these additional duties will be posted as soon as possible and an assignment will be made to staff within the building where the additional duties are needed on a right of first refusal by seniority on a rotational basis. If an additional duty is not filled by staff within the building wherein the additional duties are needed, the additional duty shall be offered to other staff on a right of first refusal by district-wide seniority on a rotational basis. If no staff requests to fill the additional duties needed, the additional duty will be assigned to the staff member in the building where the additional duty is needed with the least amount of seniority on a rotational basis. An overtime calendar/log located in each building will list the date, job, hours, and location of additional duties assigned. The overtime calendar/log will be available to be viewed by all eligible employees in each building to ensure proper assignment of additional duties. If, as a result of completing these additional duties, the selected employee’s hours exceed 40 hours in a regular workweek, the additional hours will be deemed overtime and compensated as follows: For full-time staff: overtime will be paid at 150% of the regular rate with a 2 hour minimum; if the additional duties are performed on Sunday or a holiday, overtime will be paid at 200% of the regular rate with a 2 hour minimum. Two hour minimums shall not apply for part-time staff or staff who regularly work on Saturday or Sunday.
Extra Duty Hours. Full time unit members shall be required to participate in fourteen (14) hours of extra duty hours annually covering events such as athletic events, dances, drama productions, debates, etc. Part-time unit members shall be required to participate in a prorated mount of extra duty hours based upon their work schedule. The Lead Facilitator at each school shall make an attempt to balance this responsibility evenly between all unit members at each school. Facilitators serving as volunteers on the ACLC or Nea Governing Boards for a full school year shall be given credit for the full fourteen (14) hours, or a prorated amount thereof. Facilitators staying overnight on a camping trip or other overnight trip for CLCS shall receive five (5) hours credit for each overnight assignment.
Extra Duty Hours. Opportunities for overtime or extra-duty hours shall be distributed and rotated as equally as practical among the employees in each department, school, special classification, or specialized area of employment based upon the needs of the District. If an employee is offered overtime and the employee chooses not to accept, the employee shall not be offered overtime again until all employees in that department have been offered overtime.

Extra Duty Hours. 5.7.1 The application of this section as it relates to Extra Ordinary Duty Hours is an interim arrangement pending the development of a Departmental or whole of Government employment arrangement relating to Special Deployments. Some examples include (but are not limited to): • 24/7 operations beyond regional capacity; • Natural Disasters; • State Emergencies; • Intrastate/Interstate/International deployments ; • Taskforces; • Major wildfire events; • State Incident Management Team responsibilities; and • Major events requiring Queensland Fire and Rescue Service support.

Extra Duty Hours. 8.7.1 Any immediate supervisor who wishes to assign extra duty hours involving 1 hour a day or more of bargaining unit work (which may or may not be overtime for an individual), shall offer the duty according to: 8.7.1.1 the needs of the District; 8.7.1.2 continuing rotating seniority list; 8.7.2.3 without discriminating against any individual regular classified bargaining unit member. 8.7.2 The parties understand and agree that any extra duties which are unique to a specific job position within a classification shall be offered to the individual currently assigned to that position. For example, while all clerical are proficient typists, not all clerical may have the specific knowledge regarding the current status of a program. Knowledge of that program constitutes “unique” if no other clerical employee could be expected to perform the duty without such specific knowledge. 8.7.3 Scheduled extra duty hours shall be posted. However, the immediate supervisor is responsible for maintaining a written rotating seniority list on a continuing basis. The list shall be posted in a prominent location at the major work site break area. 8.7.4 If no regular unit member, who holds a position in the classification of the extra duty hours, accepts the duty, the hours may be assigned to the least senior regular unit member within the classification based on the needs of the District. 8.7.5 Language in this section (or article) does not apply to Article 10. 8.7.6 Pay shall be in conformance with existing policy attached in Appendix “B.”(Salary Schedule)

  • Duty Hours ‌ The following limits on requirements to undertake duty apply for full-time kaimahi (see clause 2.4.1 for part time kaimahi).

  • Extra Duty Additional salary in excess of the scheduled salary may be paid to personnel who, due to the nature of their particular assignment, are required to give extra time, possess specialized training and acquire additional training. Personnel identified to receive such extra salary and the amount to be received will be recommended by the Superintendent of Schools subject to the approval of the Board of Education.

  • Extra Hours For the purpose of Clause 20.13, extra hours means any hours available to be worked in excess of an employee’s regular schedule. The Corporation shall determine the extra hours it requires in each circumstance, and offer such hours to employees working in that Post Office in accordance with the provisions of this Clause. (a) On each occasion that extra hours are to be worked, opportunities to work the extra hours are to be offered to employees who notify the Postmaster beforehand of their availability, on the basis of the first opportunity to the employee who works the greatest number of regularly scheduled hours per week, last opportunity to the employee who works the least number of regularly scheduled hours per week. (i) In the application of this Clause, it is understood that a Part-Time Assistant shall be granted an opportunity to work extra hours provided that the extra hours do not conflict with her regular schedule, and provided she does not work more than eight (8) hours per day, or forty (40) hours per week. (ii) Subject to Clause 20.13(c)(i) the Part-Time Assistant who is granted the first opportunity to work extra hours should, while the opportunity lasts, end up working a total number of hours that is not less than the total number of hours worked by the Part-Time Assistant who accepts the second opportunity, and so on for each subsequent opportunity granted. (d) Where all the extra hours to be worked cannot be covered by application of the principle expressed in (a), employees may be assigned to work the extra hours that cannot be covered, and/or those hours may be covered by other means. (e) Application of this Clause entails no obligation on the part of the Corporation for equal distribution of extra hours.

  • Overtime Hours Except as otherwise provided in this section, all hours worked in excess of the established work day, before or after an employee's regular scheduled shift, or on any regularly scheduled day off, shall be considered overtime. All paid vacation time, paid holidays, paid sick leave, compensatory time off, and paid leaves of absence shall be considered as "time worked" for purposes of this Article. Part-time employees whose established work day is less than eight (8) hours shall not be considered to be working overtime until having completed eight (8) hours of work.

  • Shift Hours All shifts assigned by the Employer must conform with the following guidelines: (a) Four (4) hour shifts will be the minimum shift permitted in any one (1) day. (b) Shifts of 5, 6, 7 or 8 hours may be assigned, subject to the provisions of 10.05. (c) All hours worked up to and including eight (8) hours in any one (1) day will be paid at the straight time rate.

  • JURY DUTY PAY All employees required to serve on jury duty shall be paid by the School District the difference between their regular pay and jury duty pay. In implementing this section, the School District shall continue to pay the employee the regular rate of pay and the employee shall be obligated upon receipt of the jury duty pay from the governmental agency to immediately remit any witness fees received to the School District less any mileage expenses. Absences under this section shall not be deducted from accumulated leave.

  • Union Activity During Working Hours Solicitation of Union membership or collection or checking of dues will not be conducted during working time. The Company agrees not to discriminate in any way against any employee for Union activity, but such activity shall not be carried on during working time, except as specifically allowed by the provisions of this Agreement.

  • Other Than Normal Working Hours Non-prevailing Wage Rate Projects: Work performed from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Monday to Friday, and any time Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays. The Contractor will perform Tasks during Other Than Normal Working Hours for the Unit Price set forth in the CTC multiplied by the Adjustment Factor of: 1.
