HOURS OF WORK AND OVERTIME HOURS OF WORK. 5.01 The normal work week shall be 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. However, the Company may establish regular work weeks of Tuesday to Saturday if required to meet business needs.
5.02 Regular starting times for shifts shall be determined by the Company, in order to operate the plant efficiently, but there shall be regular schedules providing for regular steady shifts, not swing shifts. Every employee will be provided with a written form detailing their start time and work week schedule.

The normal bi-weekly work period for all employees shall be seventy-five (75) hours and within that period the Employer, to the best extent possible, shall schedule four (4) days off for an employee so as to permit two (2) consecutive days off in a week. The Employer will arrange shift schedules such that full-time employees will receive a minimum of one (1) weekend off in three (3). However, the Employer will endeavour to maintain the current practice of one (1) weekend off in two (2), unless mutually agreed. Each seven and one-half (71/2) hour shift shall include two (2) fifteen (15) minute rest periods, one in each half of the shift. The Employer agrees to provide free coffee or tea to employees during the rest periods referred to in this Agreement and during the half hour meal period. Where the hours of work are averaged over a two (2) week period, that two (2) week period will be the same two (2) weeks as the pay period. Rest and Meal Periods shall be uninterrupted, except in case of emergency. This is not to be read or construed as a guarantee of hours of work per day or for a bi-weekly period or of days of work per biweekly period. During the changeover from Daylight Savings Time to Eastern Standard Time, or vice-versa, an employee shall be paid for 71/2 hours, notwithstanding the fact they have worked either 61/2 or 81/2 hours. There shall be no split shifts. An employee absent on paid time during her scheduled work week because of sickness or accident, W.S.I.B., bereavement, holidays, vacation or union leave on scheduled days of work, shall be considered as if they had worked during their regular scheduled hours during such absence for the calculation of eligibility for overtime rates. Overtime shall be paid for all hours worked over seven and one-half (71/2) hours in a day or seventy-five (75) hours bi-weekly, at the rate of time and one-half (11/2) the employee's regular rate of pay. Employees who work overtime will not be required to take time off in regular hours to make up for overtime worked. An employee required to work authorized overtime in excess of their regularly scheduled hours on a paid holiday (but not including hours on a subsequent regularly scheduled shift), shall receive and two (2) times her regular straight time hourly rate for such additional authorized overtime. HOURS OF WORK AND OVERTIME HOURS OF WORK. Section 1. The normal work day shall be eight (8) hours per shift. The normal work schedule shall be forty (40) hours in each seven (7) day work week. The Township reserves the right to determine the shifts and starting time of employees. The Township will make reasonable efforts to schedule employees for two consecutive days off each week, but it is understood that the Township cannot guarantee such consecutive days off.
Section 2. The provisions of this Article shall not be construed as a guarantee of any specified number of hours of work per day or per seven (7) day work week.

Sunday followed by Saturday shall be considered consecutive days off. All Regular full-time Employees shall work eight (8) straight hours per day which will include a thirty (30) minute lunch period.
a) The regular day shift hours of work shall be between o'clock a.m. and o'clock A premium of cents per hour shall be paid if the shift commences between the hours of o'clock noon and o'clock (for all hours worked). A shift premium of fifty cents per hour shall be paid if the shift commences between the hours of o'clock and o'clock a.m. (for all hours worked). When a full-time employee reports for duty on their regular scheduled work day the employee shall be guaranteed a minimum of eight (8)hours work and or pay from their regular scheduled starting time unless the employee leaves of their own volition. When full-time employees report for duty on a call back basis inconsistent with their regular scheduled work day or shift they shall be guaranteed a minimum of four (4) hours work, but after the completion of the duty they were called for they may book off with a minimum of two (2) hours pay at the applicable overtime rates, with consent of the Supervisor. All hours worked in excess of the daily maximum will be deemed overtime and paid for as such until a shift break of eight (8) hours occurs. All shifts will be bid on to coincide with Airline Schedules. These shifts will be posted seven (7) days prior to bidding. Seniority by Classification will prevail for purposes of bidding. The Company shall have the right to revise shift schedules at any time to meet airline scheduling changes. Revised shifts will be posted and bid as noted above. All new jobs or vacancies will be posted within and for (96) hours for bids. Seniority, as described in Article shall prevail for preferential, new jobs or vacancies provided the employee is qualified. There shall be no job bumping privileges except in the case of senior employees being displaced on their shift by a layoff or shift discontinuance. The senior employees may exercise their seniority over junior employees in the same classification and be placed on a shift of their choice. The senior employee may only exercise this preference once in each case of layoff or shift discontinuance.

All full-time employees shall work eight (8) straight time hours per day which will include a thirty (30) minute lunch period. Where there is a mutual agreement between the Company and the Union, the Company may establish a work week consisting of four ten 0) hour days. Such agreement shall take the form of an Addendum attached to and forming part of this Agreement.
HOURS OF WORK AND OVERTIME HOURS OF WORK. Except for Customer Service Representatives and Senior Customer Service Representatives whose hours of work are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., permanent fulltime employees are permitted to begin work between 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. and end work between 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. unless otherwise agreed in writing with their Supervisor based on operational requirements. The provision of this entitlement shall be done in a reasonable manner.
