HOURS OF WORK/WORK YEAR. 20.01 The normal expectation for Employees is a thirty-five (35) hour work week with daily hours of work scheduled between 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 pm.. A minimum of one half (½) hour and a maximum of one (1) hour uninterrupted unpaid time for lunch will be provided. Reasonable and flexible changes will be allowed. Time spent travelling between work locations during the work day shall be considered time worked. (a) It is understood that Employees will complete their assignments without extra compensation or lieu time for hours beyond thirty-five (35) hours per week. However, when Employees are required to return to work or stay at work past their normal hours of work or school year to attend or participate in activities which are outside their regular daily responsibilities such as parent nights, workshop presentations and/or summer court appearances, they will request approval from their immediate Supervisor in advance and they shall be entitled to equivalent time off at a time mutually agreeable to the Supervisor and Employee. (b) An Employee may decline a request to perform duties during vacation time if unable to accommodate such request. 20.03 The work year for full-time Employees shall be the school year as scheduled by the Board. 20.04 Notwithstanding Article 20.03, at the request of the Supervisor and with reasonable notice, Employees will be available for up to two (2) days during the week prior to the first day of school if it is necessary, due to exceptional circumstances, for special projects, meetings and/or planning sessions related to the start of the school year. The Bargaining Unit Executive shall be advised of the exceptional circumstances prior to notifying the PSSP members. 20.05 The work schedule for part-time Employees shall be set by the Employer in consultation with the affected Employee.

HOURS OF WORK/WORK YEAR. The regular daily hours shall not commence before 8:00 a.m. nor finish later than 10:00 p.m. Total hours worked are averaged over the pay period for a cumulative total not to exceed 40 hours weekly.
HOURS OF WORK/WORK YEAR. 9:1 Employees shall have a work year equal to the number of days for students plus up to two (2) additional days for professional development at a maximum of 12 hours of professional development as determined by the district calendar. These professional development days can be contingent upon the availability of state and local funds. If the work year is extended by the State, the salary scale shall be increased proportionately and a new scale issued. If the said number of pupil days is reduced as a result of an emergency declared by the Governor due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances during the life of the Agreement, the determination regarding payment of wages on such days shall be in accordance with State Laws and Regulations. 9:2 Employees shall be paid according to their regular pay rate for those in-service activities that they are required to attend. 9:3 The transportation administration will work with Data Service Center to develop a method for transportation employees to report their own time electronically through a DSC application. This system shall be in place as soon as possible during the 2021-2022 School year. Any denial of extra reported time will be communicated electronically back to the individual employee. An employee may request to confer with the supervisor or his/her designee if denied extra reported time. The conference shall be for the purpose of hearing justification for a change in hours made by the employee, if justification is approved, the employee shall suffer no loss of remuneration by any delay. 9:4 Employees shall submit their reported time and reported mileage no later than Saturday of each week. 9:5 It is understood that from time to time employees may be required to work beyond their normal work schedule. When employees are required to do so, they shall be compensated for the time beyond their normal work schedule.

As part of their regular work year, all unit members shall be required to attend one Superintendent’s Conference Day as required by the District. Unit members shall be provided with thirty (30) days advance notice of the Superintendent’s Conference Day they are required to attend. Personal time shall not be able to be used on the Superintendent’s Conference Day, unless the employee is sick. Employees who fail to attend the Superintendent’s Conference Day because they are sick shall be required to submit a doctor’s note on the next workday they report to work. B. Each member of the bargaining unit shall be notified not later than June 30 of each year of her/his school assignment and hours. Employees may be requested to report to work at times other than the approved school calendar. Should the employee agree to report to work, the employee shall be paid his or her regular hourly rate.

The normal work day shall consist of eight (8) consecutive hours of work between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. exclusive of a meal period of not less than thirty (30) minutes nor more than one (1) hour. Five (5) such days, Monday through Friday shall constitute the work week. The Normal work day shall be allowed to be varied by having the start time adjusted to any time between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM. B On-Call Status. Employees may be assigned to “on-call” status over weekend periods at the discretion of the district. Employees assigned to “on-call” status will be required to wear and respond to digital pagers or other technology for communication purposes as provided by the school district. Employees will be compensated as follows when assigned to “on-call” status:
