Overtime Notice. In the event of the need for work past a regularly scheduled work shift, employees will be notified as soon as practical, however, no later than three (3) hours before the end of their regularly scheduled work shift on that day, unless an emergency arises in which case notice is to be given as soon as is practical. In the event of the need for Saturday or Sunday work, for employees who are not regularly scheduled to work on those days, the employees will be notified as soon as is practical but at least three (3) hours before the end of their regular shift on the preceding Friday, unless an emergency arises in which case notice will be given as soon as is practical. An emergency is defined as any unexpected and unforeseen event under circumstances that could not have been anticipated by the immediate supervisor. In the event of an emergency need to require employees to report to work earlier than their regularly scheduled work shift, the employees will be notified prior to the end of the preceding work shift. If prior day notification is not possible, notice will be given as soon as practical. Employees will not be required to report to work earlier than their regularly scheduled work shift, unless an emergency exists. Employees must be paid at time and one-half for all hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours, unless given compensatory time off under the conditions outlined in this Article. If work is required outside an employee’s regular work week for a scheduled activity, the employee will be given as much advance notice as possible but not less than ten
Overtime Notice. The Employer shall give as much notice as possible of overtime to be worked.
Overtime Notice. When required to work overtime, employees shall be notified in advance. Four (4) hours’ notice shall be given for daily overtime and eight (8) hours’ notice shall be given when employees are required to work the sixth (6th) or seventh (7th) day of their normal work week, where possible.
Overtime Notice. When an employee is requested to work overtime, the Company agrees to give the employee as much notice as possible prior to shift end. The Employer shall endeavour to provide at least two (2) hours notice.
Overtime Notice. When overtime hours are required, the University will give employees affected as much advance notice as is practical.
Overtime Notice. Where possible, notice will be given twenty-four (24) hours in advance of overtime work. Special consideration shall be made by employees and management in time of need.
Overtime Notice. Overtime for which twelve (12) hour shift employees have been given four (4) hours advance notice and for which eight (8) hour shift employees have been given two (2) hours advance notice and overtime which employees have voluntarily agreed to work, will be considered scheduled overtime. Likewise, employees required to be held over to prevent an interruption in operations must work the hours. Scheduled overtime must be worked. For maintenance employees, in order to maintain continuity of work and improve shop efficiency, work orders that can reasonably be expected to be completed within 2.5 hours, after the end of a scheduled shift, the maintenance employees(s) working on the work order can be held over up to 2.5 hrs to complete the job, crane work will be performed by seniority. This applies only to jobs where the maintenance employee(s) have been assigned to the job 2 hours prior to the end of their scheduled shift. For work anticipated to take longer than 2.5 hours to complete, schedule shall take place per the Overtime Scheduling rules in the current contract. The Company is responsible for forced (involuntary) scheduling of overtime. The following is the procedure that will be followed for forced scheduling of employees:
1. If the voluntary coverage cannot be obtained for an overtime assignment after following each step of Appendix C., the Company may then decide to schedule an employee or employees for the original overtime assignment. Employees available to work the full overtime shift will be scheduled before those available for only a portion of the shift. An employee may be involuntarily scheduled to work overtime as long as the total hours worked for the assignment do not exceed: sixteen (16) hours for an eight (8) hour shift and eighteen (18) hours for a twelve (12) hour shift. The Company will provide sleeping accommodations immediately following the shift in which an employee is forced to work an eighteen (18) hour shift.
2. The least senior qualified employee in the unit will be scheduled to work the assignment unless they have already been scheduled to work twelve (12) hours of overtime (either voluntarily or involuntarily) in the payroll period. If the least senior qualified employee has already been scheduled for twelve (12) hours of overtime, then the next least senior qualified employee who has not already been scheduled to work twelve (12) hours of overtime will be scheduled to work.

Overtime Notice. It is the policy of the Company when overtime work for Saturday and Sunday is scheduled in advance (i) to give notice on Thursday of overtime work on Saturday, and (ii) to give notice on Friday of overtime work on Sunday. When overtime on Monday to Friday is scheduled in advance it is the Company's policy to give notice before the end of business of the day before the overtime is to be worked. When the need for overtime is not anticipated or known and therefore is not so scheduled, notice will be given as far in advance as the time and circumstances in each case permit. Failure to give such notice will not relieve employees of their obligation to work as scheduled.
Overtime Notice. No Nurse Supervisor shall be required to work overtime without reasonable notice as circumstances allow.
Overtime Notice. If Contractor for convenience should desire to carry on work at night or outside regular hours, submit written notice to the Engineer and allow ample time for satisfactory arrangements to be made for inspecting work in progress.
