Retention Recognition. (a) In addition to the rates of pay specified in the Salary Appendix, Employees with 20 or more continuous calendar years of nursing service with the Blood Tribe shall receive a 2% Special Long Service Pay Adjustment. Retention Recognition. The fifth component of a teacher’s overall salary includes financial recognition for retained service in Oak Park District 97. All teachers are eligible to receive retention recognition after they have completed 12 years of continuous service as a permanent District 97 employee. The teacher’s first school year of employment must have commenced by January 1 to count as a year of service. For each year of service over twelve (12) years, the teacher will receive an additional $100 in overall salary. For example, in a teacher’s 22nd year of service for the District, the teacher will be paid a $1000 retention recognition because (22-12)*$100=$1000. The following year, in the teacher’s 23rd year of service, the teacher would be paid an $1100 retention recognition because (23-12)*$100=$1100. The retention recognition for any teacher who works less than 1.0 FTE shall be prorated based on the teacher’s FTE percentage in the year the retention recognition is granted.
Retention Recognition. Teacher assistants are eligible to receive retention recognition after they have completed 8 years of continuous service as a regular District 97 employee. The TA’s first school year of employment must have been one hundred twenty (120) or more days of paid service in the school year to count as a year of service. Retention Recognition. All teachers’ assistants are eligible to receive retention recognition after they have completed five years of continuous service as a non-probationary District 97 teacher assistant. After completion of the fifth year of service, The teacher assistant will receive $70 for each year of service as a retention bonus. The retention recognition bonus will be paid each year as a lump sum on the first September payroll starting in the Teacher Assistant’s sixth year. For example, in the beginning of the Teacher Assistant’s sixth year of service for the District, the teacher assistant will be paid a $350 retention recognition bonus because (5)*$70=$350.00. In the beginning of the teacher assistant’s 10th year of service, the teacher assistant would be paid $630.00 (70*9) as a retention recognition bonus and in the beginning of the Teachers’ Assistant’s 15th 16th year of service, the teacher assistant would be paid $1050.00 (70*15).

Notwithstanding the foregoing, unless the Parties otherwise agree in writing, (a) if a RemainCo Participant becomes employed by a member of the SpinCo Group after the Distribution Date, then, except to the extent required by applicable law, such individual’s service with the RemainCo Group will not be recognized for any purpose under any SpinCo Benefit Plan, and (b) if a SpinCo Participant becomes employed by a member of the RemainCo Group after the Distribution Date, then, except to the extent required by applicable law, such individual’s service with the SpinCo Group will not be recognized for any purpose under any RemainCo Benefit Plan. Nothing herein shall limit RemainCo or SpinCo or their respective affiliates from recognizing service in addition to the recognition of service required hereunder, but any such additional service shall not be recognized for purposes of Section 2.6 of this Agreement.
