Union Management Committees. 18.03.01 It is recognized that meetings between the Company and the Union are essential to the maintenance of good employee-employer relations and the establishment of mutual confidence and trust.
18.03.02 Union-Management committees will be established to promote better communications, mutual respect and understanding between the Company and its employees and to provide advance discussion of significant changes affecting the work or working conditions of employees.
18.03.03 Meetings shall be held as required between the District Chair or his designated representative and the appropriate Company representative. The National Representatives will be permitted to attend.
18.03.04 At Union-Management Headquarters level, meetings will normally be held once every four (4) months between Union Headquarters representatives and representatives of the Corporate Management level. Such meetings shall generally be of one (1) day's duration.
18.03.05 The dates of such meetings will be established by mutual agreement and minutes of such meetings will be prepared and made available to all concerned following approval of both parties.
18.03.06 The meetings of Union-Management Committees shall not be considered as being in lieu of the Grievance procedures.
Union Management Committees. There shall be established a Union/Management committee composed of members equal in number. This committee may call upon additional persons for technical information or advice. The Committee shall meet at the call of either party at a mutually agreeable time and place. Employees shall not suffer any loss of basic pay for time spent on this committee. The Committee shall not have the power to bind either the Union or its members or the Employer to any decisions or conclusions reached in their discussions. The Committee shall have the power to make recommendations to the Union and the Employer.
Union Management Committees. The parties agree to establish a union/management committee for Belkin House. There shall be an equal number of union and employer representatives on both committees composed of up to three union representatives appointed by the Union on the Belkin House Committee and equal employer representation unless otherwise agreed between the Union and the Employer. The Committees shall meet at the call of either party at a mutually agreeable time and place and at a minimum quarterly. Employees shall not suffer any loss of pay for the time spent attending meetings of the Committees during regular working hours. Every effort will be made to schedule meetings within regular hours. In the event meetings cannot be scheduled within regular hours, it is understood that no overtime pay will apply to hours spent in union/management committee meetings. An employee representative and a union representative shall alternate in presiding over the meetings. The Committees shall not have jurisdiction over any matter of collective bargaining including the administration of this agreement. The Committees shall not have the power to bind the Union, its members, or the Employer to any decisions reached in the Committees' discussions. The Committees shall have the power to make recommendations to the parties on the following: reviewing matters, other than grievances, relating to the maintenance of good relations between the parties; correcting conditions causing misunderstandings; dealing with matters referred to in this agreement. Minutes of the Committees' meetings, approved by the union and employer co-Chairs, shall be transcribed by the Alternating Chair and distributed to committee members and union office.

(f) Minutes of the committees' meetings, approved by the union and employer co-chairs, shall be transcribed by the Alternating Chair and distributed to committee members and union office.
Union Management Committees. The Employer will recognize the following Committees of Employees for the respective purposes shown:
a) The Bargaining Committee consisting of not more than six (6) representatives of the Union for the purpose of negotiating this Agreement and its renewal;
b) The Employee Relations Committee consisting of five (5) representatives of the Union and up to five (5) representatives of the Employer to meet bi-monthly or by mutual arrangement for the purpose of discussing any matters of mutual interest;
c) The Grievance Committee consisting of three (3) representatives of the Union and three (3) representatives of the Employer. The Union representatives shall comprise the President, or designated alternate, the Chief Xxxxxxx, or designated alternate and the appropriate Area Xxxxxxx.
Union Management Committees. 1. Employee Relations Committee The Company shall appoint a committee of eight (8) which shall be known as the Company Committee and the Union shall appoint a committee of eight (8) employees which shall be known as the Union Committee. The Union Committee and the Company Committee shall meet monthly at a time mutually agreed upon and at such other times as may be deemed proper to settle grievances or complaints and other problems as may be submitted to the meeting, which shall include general conditions of employment, suggestions for the improvement of relations between the Company and the Union, and employees' suggestions for improving the services of the Company. Either committee shall submit, in writing and in duplicate, grievances, complaints and other problems, at least five (5) days prior to a stated meeting. The Union reserves the right at any time to call in Representatives of the International Union. The practices that were in effect in the previous New Haven Division with regard to pay for such employees shall continue.
2. Negotiating Committee The Company will pay for eight (8) employees to attend scheduled meetings. Not more than eight (8) hours per person will be paid for any meeting and no overtime premium will apply for any time spent in meetings with the Company. Time spent in meetings outside of work schedules, whether paid or not, shall not count as time worked in computing overtime.
3. Safety Committee A joint safety committee of seven persons appointed by the Company and seven persons appointed by the Union will meet monthly with the Company Safety Director to further the program of safety, health and sanitation. The Company will continue to make reasonable regulations for the safety and health of its employees during their hours of employment, and the Union agrees that it will encourage its members to use the protective devices, wearing apparel and other equipment provided by the Company for the protection of employees from injury. The Union also agrees that it will encourage its members to report promptly conditions in the Company's plant that might be dangerous to employees and the public and to do all in their power to make Company property and equipment safe, sanitary and dependable. The Union further agrees to cooperate with the Company to prevent and eliminate instances of compensable illness and injury. Union Management Committees. Two (2) Labour-Management Committees shall be established, each consisting of two (2) employees chosen according to the Union’s practice and the Secretary Business Manager of the Union or his/her designate, and two (2) representatives of Crothall or Xxxxxxxx management as the case may be. The Union shall appoint one (1) alternate representative. On the written request of any of its member(s), a Labour Management Committee shall meet at least once every month during the term of this Agreement, to discuss issues relating to the workplace that affect the Parties or any employee bound by this Agreement. The purpose of a Labour Management Committee is to promote the cooperative resolution of the workplace issues including workload, to respond and adapt to changes in the economy, to xxxxxx the development of work-related skills and to promote workplace productivity. Employees shall receive their basic rate of pay for time spent in attendance at Labour Management Committee.
Union Management Committees. (a) The Company agrees to participate with the Union in establishing joint Union / Management committees to address issues of mutual interest.
(b) The Company shall pay $20.00/hour (or the applicable hourly rate for employees) for the two (2) employee’s / owner operator’s time spent at Union / Management meetings to a maximum of four (4) hours per meeting.
Union Management Committees. 3.10.1 Whenever a District wide committee, task force, hot team, and/or any other factfinding or fact gathering group invites participation of bargaining unit members, the Union shall be contacted in advance of the committees formation and shall be allowed a reasonable period of time, not to exceed ten (10) working days, to appoint bargaining unit members of its choosing to the committee. If the Union fails to appoint bargaining unit members of its choosing within a reasonable period of time, not to exceed (10) working days, the District shall be allowed to seek voluntary bargaining unit members of its choosing. Unless otherwise mutually agreed to between the parties, a bargaining unit member shall not serve on more than two (2) committees, task forces, hot teams, etc., at any one time.
