Work Year and Holidays. For 2014-15, the work year for regular full time unit members shall be 184 days total; with 180 days of instruction, 3 staff development days and 1 teacher work day. The 2014-15 calendar conditionally approved by the School Board on February 12, 2014 shall be included as a contract Appendix.

b. All teachers will report for duty one full day prior to the first day of school for all students. Teachers new to the district, in their first full September are required by DESE to be mentored for their first two years of employment at Minuteman, will report for duty two full days prior to the first day of school for all students. Effective July 1, 2015, new teachers will report for duty four (4) full days prior to the first day of school for all students at no additional compensation.
c. Effective July 2, 2015, at the option of the Superintendent or his/her designee, New Teacher Mentors may be required to work up to two (2) additional days prior to the start of the school year, for which the Mentor shall be compensated at his/her per diem rate.
d. Teachers who complete all end-of-year assignments and obtain written approval from his/her Cluster or Department Lead Teacher on the “year end close-out” form, made available by the Administration on or before June 1st of the school year that is ending will be released on the last student day.
e. Any teacher who does not properly complete close-down activities specified by the Superintendent and/or Principal and/or Director must remain on duty until those activities are properly completed.
f. Academic/CTE Lead Teacher Last Day: The last work day, as a teacher, for a academic or CTE lead teacher will be one day after students leave IF all of his/her supervised teachers have properly completed sign-out procedures. If all those supervised have not properly completed sign-out procedures, the department or cluster chair must remain on duty until all teachers under his or her supervision have been properly signed out.
2. Teachers may be required to attend no more than 4 full staff meetings as determined by the Superintendent. These staff meetings may last for up to one hour, but teachers will be required to stay no later than 3:35.
a. Emergency meetings may be called at the discretion of the Superintendent.

Work Year and Holidays. 1. The total number of workdays for Employees covered by this Agreement shall be a maximum of 210 instructional days and one set-up day per year, subject to change based on NYC Department of Education guidelines. This includes four professional development days.

In the event that school is in session on any of the holidays set forth above, the Board will provide a floating holiday in lieu of the holiday, to be determined by the Superintendent of Schools and announced prior to June 1st to the bargaining unit president.

Work Year and Holidays. The work year for the Director of Facilities shall be twelve (12) months. The Director shall have the following holidays: New Years’ Day, Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx, Xx. Day, Presidents’ Day, Friday before Easter, Friday before Memorial Day (if not a student contact day), Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans’ Day, Thanksgiving Day and the Day after, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and two days during Christmas break.
Work Year and Holidays. 6.3.1 The work year for members of this Bargaining Unit shall be nine months, beginning approximately August 15th and terminating approximately May 15th. Some adjustments may occur in order to comply with the calendar. In certain instances, where additional or year-round duties are included, members of the Bargaining Unit may receive a 12-month appointment.
Work Year and Holidays. All Administrators shall work a twelve (12) month year beginning July 1st and ending June 30th of each school year. Administrators will follow the same holiday schedule as set forth in the Board approved School Calendar for the fiscal year. Effective July 1, 2008, Administrators shall work two (2) additional days outside of the School Calendar, at the discretion of the individual Administrator.
