Workday/Work Year. B HOURS - The maximum length of the members' workday shall be seven (7) hours, thirty (30) minutes. The day shall include a minimum of thirty (30) minutes uninterrupted duty-free lunch period. In a case of extenuating circumstances, the member may request a reasonable accommodation in his/her schedule. The teacher “workday” is the time a member is required to be in the school building. The “instructional day” will be the time students are required to be in the building for academic instruction. The instructional day will not exceed six hours and thirty minutes at the elementary level. The time teachers are required to supervise students outside of the instructional day will be considered “student contact time”. Daily student contact time will not exceed 15 minutes at the elementary level excluding dismissal (bus) duties. It is understood that teachers may begin preparing earlier for dismissal when warranted. The Board and administration shall have the right to schedule the instructional day within the workday parameters defined in this paragraph, provided that the elementary instructional day shall not exceed six (6) hours and thirty (30) minutes. Workday/Work Year. A. The work year for members of the bargaining unit shall consist of one hundred and eighty-three (183) days. There shall be one hundred eighty (180) student days and three (3) work/in-service days. The Board may extend the work year beyond the one hundred and eighty-three (183) days in which case bargaining unit members will be compensated 1/183 of his/her annual salary for each day the work year is extended.
B. The maximum length of the regular workday shall be 7.5 hours. Teachers shall have fifteen (15) minutes of prep time either before or the end of the school day.
C. Each member of the bargaining unit shall be entitled to no less than a thirty (30) minute duty-free lunch period.
D. The Association leadership can use the time in the contractual day from the end of the student day to the end of the contractual work day to conduct any and all Association business.
E. On days when schools are closed due to the reasons set forth in Section 3317.01 (B), R.C., teachers will not be required to report to school. If the Superintendent determines that the district will make up any calamity days, teachers will be required to report on make-up days without additional compensation. In the event a three-hour delay is implemented, the Superintendent may add an hour to the end of the school day.
F. One day of the member's work year shall be devoted to teacher in-service. All teachers shall be required to report to one staff meeting monthly as scheduled by the principal. The principal must schedule staff meetings at least thirty (30) days in advance. Staff meetings shall last no longer than thirty (30) minutes after student dismissal.
G. Extended Time All extended time people will be paid using their per diem rate.

Xxxxxx is a salaried, twelve-month Administrative employee and, as such, will work such hours as needed and directed by the Superintendent including, but not limited to, attendance at all school board meetings. B. Breaks: Break periods are a part of the paid workday. Break periods are not cumulative and shall not be used to extend the lunch period or to shorten the workday unless mutually agreed by the employee and supervisor.

2. Employees who work six (6) continuous hours per day or more shall receive two (2) break periods of fifteen (15) minutes each, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, and a half-hour (1/2 hour) unpaid, duty free lunch period.
3. Employees who work a four day ten hour work schedule shall receive two break periods of 20 minutes each and a half-hour (1/2) unpaid, duty-free lunch period.
4. Employees who work directly with students shall be provided breaks as permitted by their duties.
C. Bargaining unit employees shall be permitted to leave work thirty (30) minutes before the end of their regularly scheduled shifts on the day immediately preceding the following: Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Holiday, Winter Break, and Spring Break provided the employees have no mandatory work responsibilities. Bargaining unit employees shall suffer no reduction in pay on such days.
