Attendance and Leave. 8.1 [If Secondee’s working pattern will differ from that of her/his substantive role: For the duration of the secondment period or until its earlier termination, the Secondee will work (delete as appropriate) full-time, Monday to Friday, e.g. 37 hours as appropriate per week/148 hours over a four week period exclusive of an unpaid meal break of a minimum of 30 minutes OR part-time (insert details of part-time working pattern).] 8.2 If the Secondee works in excess of her or his contracted hours, s/he may be entitled to [(delete as appropriate) time off in lieu for the additional hours worked OR payment] in accordance with the current policy of the CRC and if agreed in advance with NOMS. The functional line manager will ensure that the Secondee’s work patterns comply with the Working Time Regulations 1998. 8.3 [In the case of Chief Officer grades] The Secondee may be required to work flexibly and such additional hours as may from time to time be reasonable and necessary for the effective performance of the duties and this would not attract time off in lieu or additional payment. 8.4 The Secondee will be expected to use any annual leave entitlement accrued during the secondment period prior to the end of that period before returning to the CRC. Where this is not possible for organisational reasons within NOMS, the CRC will invoice NOMS for the cost of any accrued but untaken annual leave outstanding at the end date of the of the entitlement earned during that period, NOMS may recover from the CRC the cost of such excess leave by deduction from the Secondee’s employment costs reimbursed under paragraph 12 of this Agreement. 8.5 The Secondee’s requests for annual leave will be considered and authorised by the functional line manager. For the avoidance of doubt, the Secondee is not entitled to any leave in respect of privilege or customary days granted to civil servants. 8.6 In the event of sickness absence, the Secondee will be expected to notify the NOMS functional line manager in line with NOMS local procedures. 8.7 The functional line manager will provide the CRC with records of annual leave on a quarterly basis, and sickness absence documentation following any periods of sick absence.

The employee agrees to comply with the Work Schedule and Leave Policy while teleworking, including clocking in and out at the beginning and end of the telework day. Attendance and Leave. 7.1 HOLIDAY OBSERVANCE - Employees will be guaranteed twelve (12) paid holidays as indicated: New Year’s Day Columbus Day Memorial Day Thanksgiving Day Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx’x Birthday Election Day Independence Day Christmas Day Washington’s Birthday Veterans’ Day Labor Day Plus one floating holiday. Celebration of holidays shall coincide with County designation unless changed by a Town Board Resolution. 7.2 VACATIONS - Employees shall be entitled to vacation as per the following schedule: A. Completed: Six (6) months of employment – 1 week One (1) year of employment - 2 weeks Five (5) years of employment - 3 weeks Ten (10) years of employment - 4 weeks Twenty (20) years of employment- 5 weeks B. Employees hired after January 1st in any year shall be entitled to one (1) week of vacation at the completion of six (6) months of service. Employees shall be credited with two (2) weeks of vacation upon completion of one (1) year of employment. C. Each employee shall submit a vacation preference by February 1st of each year. Approval by a Department Head is required. D. The Town’s vacation policy of crediting vacation time entitled to an employee in advance of January 1st of each year will be honored by this Agreement. Employees who are absent from work for an accumulated period exceeding four (4) months in any year shall be entitled to one half of the scheduled vacation either in that year or in the following year, if vacation has been taken before such absence from work occurs. E. Vacation schedules for each department shall be posted in that department. F. Vacation shall be scheduled in advance and shall be taken at the scheduled time except when a different time is approved by the Department Head. If, by October 1st, there is an employee who has not taken his or her vacation at the scheduled time, the situation will be reviewed by the Department Head and the employee’s vacation shall be scheduled during the last quarter. In the event that during the last quarter of the year the Town requests the employee to work so as to prevent the employee from taking his or her vacation, the employee shall be allowed to carry over up to two (2) weeks of the unused vacation into the next calendar year.
