Callback Overtime. Callback Overtime shall be paid on a time and one-half (1½) basis. Callback Overtime, including the two (2) hour minimum, shall if:
a. The Employee is officially ordered to return to work on a day when no work was scheduled;
b. The Employee is “called back” to work with less than twelve (12) hours’ notice and more than thirty (30) minutes before employee’s regularly scheduled work; or,
c. The Employee is officially ordered to return to work more than thirty (30) minutes after employee’s regularly scheduled work. Callback Overtime shall not apply if the Employee is ordered to report to work while on Stand-By Duty.
Callback Overtime. Callback overtime including a two (2) hour minimum, shall be paid if:
a. The employee is officially ordered to report to work by the Police Chief or designee on a day when no work was scheduled for that employee excluding scheduled overtime;
b. On a regularly scheduled workday, the employee is ordered to report to work by the Police Chief or designee with less than twelve (12) hours’ notice and more than thirty (30) minutes before employee’s regularly scheduled work; or,
c. On a regularly scheduled workday, the employee is officially ordered to report work by the Police Chief or designee more than thirty (30) minutes after employee’s regularly scheduled work. The two (2) hour minimum to Callback Overtime shall not apply if the employee is ordered to report to work while on Standby Duty, but the provisions of Section 2, Article O shall apply. Callback does not apply when an employee is called to work during their regular shift while on annual leave or during a paid holiday leave.
Callback Overtime. A. Callback overtime occurs whenever an employee is ordered to return to duty for unscheduled work, typically while on stand-by duty. Call back does not occur when an employee is held over from his/her prior shift or just prior to a regularly scheduled shift. An employee called back to duty shall be compensated for a minimum of three hours paid at the overtime rate of one and one-half times the employee’s regular rate of pay.
B. In lieu of call back overtime pay, employees may elect to receive credit to CTO computed at the above rates.
C. An employee who works more than 16 hours during any 24 hour period as a result of overtime or callback overtime may be subject to a required rest period.
Callback Overtime i. Callback overtime applies when the University determines additional personnel are needed for staffing apparatus or stations. Callback overtime other than emergency recall will be offered on a rotating basis according to the last overtime worked such that the qualified member with the oldest date of overtime last worked will be contacted first.
ii. Callback overtime shall be assigned rank-for-rank: the rank of the member that is vacant is the rank that shall be called. If the vacancy cannot be filled with a member of like rank, the next rank will be called.
1. When there are two vacancies of different ranks (i.e. one fire captain and one battalion chief), the later vacancy to occur will determine the rank to be filled with callback overtime.
iii. A member is considered excused from accepting overtime if he or she a) is scheduled to be on duty; b) is already committed to a shift trade; c) is committed to a compensable fire department related activity; d) is approved for sick or family medical leave; or e) if accepted, would result in more than two consecutive shifts.
iv. No unit member may work overtime on his or her regularly scheduled shift, regardless of circumstance.
Callback Overtime. Any unscheduled overtime performed by an employee who is called back to work on an off duty day or on a regular work day after he has completed his regular schedule of work and left his place of employment will be considered to be at least two (2) hours in duration and will be so credited. Employees shall be excused upon completion of the work they were called in to perform.

(2) On a regularly scheduled workday, the employee is ordered to report to work by the Department HeadPolice Chief or designee with less than twelve (12) hours’ notice and more than thirty (30) minutes before his/her regularly scheduled work; or,
(3) On a regularly scheduled workday, the employee is officially ordered to report work by the Department HeadPolice Chief or designee more than thirty (30) minutes after his/her regularly scheduled work. The two (2) hour minimum to Callback Overtime shall not apply if the employee is ordered to report to work while on Standby Duty, but the provisions of Section 2, Article O shall apply.

iv. No bargaining unit member may work overtime on their regularly scheduled shift, regardless of circumstance.

(1) The employee is officially ordered to report to work by the Department Head or designee on a day when no work was scheduled excluding (4) below;
(2) On a regularly scheduled workday, the employee is ordered to report to work by the Department Head or designee with less than twelve (12) hours notice and more than thirty (30) minutes before his/her regularly scheduled work; or,
(3) On a regularly scheduled workday, the employee is officially ordered to report work by the Department Head or designee more than thirty (30) minutes after his/her regularly scheduled work. The two (2) hour minimum to Callback Overtime shall not apply if the employee is ordered to report to work while on Standby Duty, but the provisions of Article O shall apply.
Callback Overtime. A minimum of two (2) hours of overtime will be paid if an employee is required to return to the place of employment for unscheduled overtime work or to work unscheduled overtime on a nonscheduled workday. If the callback occurs on a holiday during the employee’s regular schedule, a minimum of two (2) hours holiday premium pay will be paid. When a Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) nonexempt employee performs unscheduled overtime work on a day when work was not scheduled for the employee, or for which the employee is required to return to the place of employment, the employee is paid for two (2) hours of work or the actual number of hours worked, whichever is greater. In all cases, the actual time worked will be recorded.
