DUES AND REPRESENTATION FEES. A. The Employer agrees to deduct the Union dues from the salaries of its employees, subject to this Agreement, such as deductions shall be made in compliance with N.J.S.A. 34:13A-I et. seq. and members shall be eligible to withdraw such authority during January and July of each year as prescribed by law. B. The deduction of full dues shall be made only for each employee who individually requests, in writing, that such deductions be made. C. The Employer further agrees to deduct, in accordance with P.L. 19.79, Chapter 477, /as it relates to the Agency Shop provisions, from the pay of each employee covered by the Agreement who does not furnish a written authorization for deduction of Union dues, a representation fee up to 85% of the Union dues, as may be certified to the Employer by the Union at least thirty (30) days prior to the month in which the deduction of dues is to be made, commencing ninety (90) days after the date of hire of such employee. DUES AND REPRESENTATION FEES. 11.1 Within five (5) days of execution of this Agreement or by September 10, whichever date comes last, the Association shall give written notice to the District of the dollar amount of dues required for Association membership and of representation fees. 11.2 Within ten (10) days of commencement of employment or the beginning of the school year, whichever date is later, each employee, with the exception of substitute employment, shall sign and deliver to the District an assignment of wages authorizing payroll deduction of Association dues or representation fees. Receipt of such individual assignment shall be a condition precedent to the District's obligation to deduct and transmit to the Association dues and representation fees. 11.3 If an employee fails to submit such assignment of wages within the above-stated time limits or if an employee revokes such assignment pursuant to Section 11.9 below, the District agrees to deduct from the salary of said employee a representation fee equivalent to the dues required for Association membership and to transmit such fee to the Association. 11.4 Employees who choose to pay Association dues by means other than payroll deduction shall do so within the above-stated time limits; the Association shall then notify the District about said employees whose pay shall not be subject to Association membership dues deduction. 11.5 The right of non-association of employees based on bona fide religious tenets or teachings of a church or religious body of which the employee is a member shall be recognized. Each such employee shall pay an amount of money equivalent to regular dues and fees to a nonreligious charity or to another charitable organization as mutually agreed upon by the employee affected and the Association. The employee shall furnish the District written proof that such payment has been made. DUES AND REPRESENTATION FEESThe County agrees to deduct from the salaries of its employees, subject to this Agreement, dues for AFSCME, Local 2302, District Council #71. Such deductions shall be made in compliance with Chapter 123 Public Laws of 1974, N.J.C.S.A. (R.S.S. 214-15, 9E) as amended, and members shall be eligible to withdraw such authority during January and July of each year. A. A check-off shall commence for each employee who signs a properly dated authorization card supplied by the Union and verified by the Treasurer of the Council during the month following the filing of such card with the County. B. The aggregate deductions from all employees shall be remitted to the Treasurer of the Local together with the list of names of all Employees for whom the deductions were made by the 10th day of the succeeding month after such deductions were made. DUES AND REPRESENTATION FEES. A. Professional or organizational dues will be deducted from the regular pay checks for each employee of the Bargaining Unit who requests in writing, on the proper form for that purpose, that his/her dues be deducted. Such written requests for deductions starting in September are to be submitted to the Personnel Office by July 1. One-tenth (1/10) of the annual total of dues will be deducted for each of the ten (10) months, September-June. Late requests for dues deductions will be honored up to October 31. The collection of dues from enrollments after October 3 1 will be the responsibility of the Association. Late requests for dues deduction that are too late for September checks will have two months deducted from the October check, or three (3) months from the November check, or four months from the December check, depending on which becomes the first possible month for deduction of dues. An employee will be continued on dues deduction from year-to year unless he/she requests in writing to the Human Resource Office, prior to July 1, that he/she be dropped from payroll dues deduction. B. In the event an employee leaves the employment of the Board of Education prior to the end of the fiscal year, dues payment will terminate as of the last month of employment. C. A Representative Fee of 85% has been agreed to by the Parties. The association will provide a listing of Bargaining Unit members who are non-Association members to the Board with a reasonable period of time after the commencement of the school year. The College agrees to deduct Chapter dues from the salaries of employees who submit to the College a signed and dated authorization statement requesting and authorizing the deduction. 2. The dues shall be in the semi-monthly amount certified by the Chapter for current membership dues or such amount as may be certified for dues in each subsequent year. Any change in the amount of dues shall be certified to the College by the Chapter at least thirty (30) days prior to the requested date of such change. 3. An employee may terminate his or her authorization effective January 1 or July 2 of any year, but only by prior written notice from the employee to the College. 4. The Chapter shall certify to the College that the amount of such representation fee in lieu of dues was determined in accordance with applicable law. In no event shall such fee exceed 85 percent of the Chapter’s regular membership dues. Such deductions shall be made in the semi-monthly amounts certified to the College by the Chapter. 3.
