Holiday Policy. Paid holidays shall be authorized only for regular full-time, regular less than full-time, and provisional employees. To be entitled to pay for such paid holidays, an employee must be entitled to compensation for his regularly scheduled shift both the day before and the day after such paid holiday.
Holiday Policy. 26.01 All regular full-time employees will be entitled to the following holidays:
1. New Year's Day 7. Columbus Day
2. Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx Day 8. Veterans' Day
3. U.S. Presidents' Day/Washington's Birthday 9. Thanksgiving Day
4. Memorial Day 10. The day after Thanksgiving Day 5. Independence Day 11. Christmas Day
Holiday Policy. 10.1.1 Each calendar year Unit 8 employees shall be entitled to floating holidays with pay, all of which are in lieu of those pre-existing holidays listed below, which are in addition to any other official State holidays as proclaimed and appointed by the Governor, or as created by statute for State employees. These holidays shall be accrued on the day of the pre-existing holiday. The pre-existing holidays are: January 1, the third Monday in January, February 12, the third Monday in February, the last Monday in May, July 4, the first Monday in September, the second Monday in October, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, December 25, and one personal holiday per calendar year, credited on January 1st.
10.1.2 If the location at which an employee is assigned to work is closed for business on a pre-existing holiday, the employee may be required to take the day off by his/her supervisor. Whenever an employee is required to take the day off, he/she may use any type of leave credit, following the appropriate guidelines as established for the particular type of leave.
10.1.3 Employees shall request their holiday time-off in advance and shall be allowed to take such holiday time-off in accordance with the vacation scheduling policy (Section 10.2) of this agreement. Holidays shall be taken in whole day increments except when additional hours are needed to meet the pay period requirement. After December 31, 2001, no more than six (6) holidays shall be carried over to the next calendar year. Excess carry-over will be treated as in the Vacation Policy.
10.1.4 Seasonal employees shall accrue a personal holiday at the completion of every six (6) qualifying pay periods. Management may at its discretion, with a minimum of 24 hours notice, require a seasonal employee to use one or more of his/her personal holidays.
10.1.5 Holidays as used in this section are 10-hour days based on the 40-hour clock. For purposes of calculating the amount to be paid when cashing out a holiday, the following formula will be used. ((Monthly Salary / 4.33)/40) X 10 = 1 day of holiday pay
10.1.6 Employees may at their option cash out up to 4 holidays per fiscal year, provided that the Reporting Unit determines that it has the funds available to fund the cash-out. Holiday cash-out shall be done in a fair and equitable manner.
Holiday Policy. Holiday will be picked using the same procedure as for vacations. The holiday list for picking will only go around twice. A holiday on a holiday will be drawn separately by the crew affected. If your name is drawn, you may choose from the days available until all openings are filled or passed. After the rounds, and the holiday on a holiday pick, the calendar will be opened on a first come, first serve basis. A twenty-four (24) hour holiday takes precedence over a split holiday.
Holiday Policy. No pick-ups or Drop-offs available on Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year’s Day. Holiday rates apply during peak boarding periods, there is a $3 a day holiday boarding fee that applies during all federal holidays and corresponding weeks/weekends. There is a minimum 3 night stay for all non-client resort reservations for the following Holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, Easter, Spring Break, Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day.
Holiday Policy. A $50.00 deposit will be charged to my credit card at the time of the reservation and will be applied to my final bill upon my pet’s completion of their stay. In the event that I decide to cancel my reservation/do not show up, the $50.00 deposit will NOT be refunded back to my card. Holidays include New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Easter, Memorial Day, 4 th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and MEA. I understand that Lucky Pets will be closed for drop-off and pick-up on all major holidays, but their boarding staff will be present to attend to my pet’s needs.
Holiday Policy. All employees, except those excluded in Paragraph 20.3 below, shall be entitled to the paid scheduled holidays listed below provided they are in a paid status during any portion of the working day immediately preceding or succeeding the scheduled holiday. A new employee whose first working day is after a paid scheduled holiday shall not be paid for the holiday, and an employee who is terminating and whose last day is the day before a paid scheduled holiday shall not be paid for that holiday.
20.1.1. The scheduled holidays are: January 1, New Year’s Day The third Monday in January, Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx Day The twelfth day in February, Xxxxxxx’s Birthday The third Monday in February, President’s Day The last Monday in May, Memorial Day The fourth day in July, Independence Day The first Monday in September, Labor Day The second Monday in October, Columbus Day The eleventh day in November, Veteran’s Day The fourth Thursday in November, Thanksgiving Day The Friday after Thanksgiving Day The twenty-fifty day of December, Christmas Day And every day appointed by the President or Governor for a public fast, thanksgiving or holiday when so designated by the Board of Supervisors.
20.1.2. In addition to the paid scheduled holidays above, those eligible employees will receive two (2) additional holidays per year that may be taken at the option of the employee after receiving approval by the appointing authority. At least one of these holidays must be taken in the fiscal year in which the holiday units are credited. On the first pay day in July of every year all eligible employees will be credited with the appropriate number of holiday units that equal their regular work day (to a maximum of 8 holiday units). Newly hired employees shall receive a pro-rata share of these two (2) additional holidays based upon their date of hire. Part-time employees shall receive such credits pursuant to Paragraph 20.
Holiday Policy. Holiday Reservations require a 2-night minimum stay. A $50.00 non-refundable fee will be charged to my credit card at the time of the reservation and will be applied to any incurred boarding fees. Holidays include New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving.
Holiday Policy. The center will not be open for Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx Xxx, President’s Day, Spring Break, Memorial Day Break, Labor Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Break and Winter Break.

The goal of SHARE and UMass Memorial is to give as many people the day off for the holiday without loss of pay as possible while meeting the operational needs of departments, and to fairly compensate SHARE members who have to work the holiday since the hospital is a 24/7 operation. The SHARE holidays are: New Year's Day, Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx Xxx, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
