MEAL BREAKS/REST PAUSES. 15.1 Subject to approval of the employer an employee or group of employees may:
(a) Take a paid meal break of 20 minutes in the morning (no later than 5 hours from commencement of work). An employee or a group of employees on a particular site may take a 30 minute or longer unpaid lunch meal break between Noon and 1pm or forgo the unpaid meal break and work through so that they finish earlier. No claim for an extra payment, penalty or premium will be made on the company; or
(b) Agree to any other arrangements in writing that provide for a paid rest pause or unpaid meal break no later than 5 hours from commencement of work.
MEAL BREAKS/REST PAUSES. (a) Work breaks will be taken as directed by the Employer, and will be timed to ensure customer service needs are met.
(b) Work breaks must be taken by the employee.
(c) Meal breaks are unpaid and not counted as time worked.
(d) An employee who works more than four hours on any day shall be allowed a 10 minute paid break.
(e) An employee who works more than five hours and up to ten hours on any one day shall be allowed a 10 minute paid break and a 30 minute unpaid break.
(f) An employee who works more than ten hours on any one day shall be allowed two 15 minute paid breaks and two 30 minute unpaid breaks.
MEAL BREAKS/REST PAUSES. Subject to approval of the employer an employee or group of employees may:
(a) Take meal breaks and rest pauses in accordance with clause 4.2 ‘Protected Preserved Conditions’; or
(b) Take a paid meal break of 30 minutes in the morning (no later than 5 hours from commencement of work). Subject to management approval an employee or a group of employees on a particular site may forego the 30 minute unpaid lunch meal break between Noon and 1pm and work through so that they finish earlier. No claim for an extra payment, penalty or premium will be made on the company; or
(c) Agree to any other arrangements in writing that provide for a paid rest pause or unpaid meal break no later than 5 hours from commencement of work.
MEAL BREAKS/REST PAUSES. (a) A meal break of no less than 30 minutes and no longer than 60 minutes shall be allowed between the hours of 12 noon and 2pm.
(b) Meal breaks shall be staggered to avoid disruption and shall not count as time worked.
(c) Employees working shift shall be allowed a meal break of thirty (30) minutes at a mutually agreeable time. This 30 minute meal break shall be counted as time worked.
(d) An employee shall not be required to work for more than 5 hours without a meal break. However, a meal break shall not be taken if it falls within one half hour of finishing time.
(e) A rest period of 10 minutes shall be allowed in every period of ordinary daily hours. The rest period shall count as time worked.
(f) It is agreed that both parties shall be flexible as to when to take meal/tea breaks.
(g) Employees shall be entitled to 5 minutes per hour as an exercise break from continuous VDT work.
MEAL BREAKS/REST PAUSES. (a) Meal breaks and rest pauses will be staggered in order to meet the operational requirements of the business, as determined by the Company’s Supervisors and Managers.
(b) The rest pauses and meal breaks will be, as follows: Morning - 15 minutes (paid) Afternoon - 10 minutes (paid) Lunch - 30 minutes (unpaid)

(a) Take an unpaid meal break of 30 minutes in the morning no later than 5 hours from commencement of work. No claim for an extra payment, penalty or premium will be made on the company; or
(b) Agree to any other arrangements in writing that provide for an unpaid meal break no later than 5 hours from commencement of work.
MEAL BREAKS/REST PAUSES. Each Employee shall be entitled to an unpaid lunch break of thirty (30) minutes for each full day of employment. Such lunch break shall be taken at a time convenient to the operational requirements of the Employer. In addition, each employee working a full 8 hour day shall be further entitled to a paid 20 minute rest break. This may be taken as 10 minutes in the morning or afternoon or as determined by operational requirements. For employees who are working locally and are required to work for at least one and a half hours after working ordinary hours will be paid by the employer an amount outlined in Appendix A to meet the cost of a meal.

(a) Take a paid meal break of 30 minutes in the morning (no later than 5 hours from commencement of work) and a 30 minute unpaid lunch break between Noon and 1pm. An employee or a group of employees on a particular site may forego the 30 minute unpaid lunch break and work through so that they finish earlier. No claim for an extra payment, penalty or premium will be made on the company; or
(b) Agree to any other arrangements in writing that provide for a 30 minute paid rest pause or unpaid meal break no later than 5 hours from commencement of work.
16.2 An employee who has worked at least 4 hours of overtime and for each subsequent 4 hour period of overtime will be entitled to a paid 15 minute rest pause. Subject to approval of the employer, the employee may forego the rest pause and in those circumstances will be paid for the 15 minute rest pause at ordinary rates. No meal allowance is payable.
MEAL BREAKS/REST PAUSES. (a) All employees engaged to work an ordinary hours shift of 6 ordinary hours or more shall be entitled to an unpaid meal break of 30 minutes.
(b) All employees engaged to work overtime are entitled to a 10 minute unpaid rest pause for every four hours of such overtime.
(c) Only 12 minutes of paid time is allocated to breaks in any one day of ordinary hours. All breaks in excess of the 12 minutes per day are unpaid.
MEAL BREAKS/REST PAUSES. (a) There will be a meal break and a rest pause for each shift or day where a minimum of five (5) hours are worked Monday to Friday. The meal break shall be 30 minutes duration and will be unpaid, or paid if the Employee is performing shift work. The rest pause will be 30 minutes duration and paid.
(b) Where after ceasing ordinary hours an Employee is required to work overtime immediately following the cessation of ordinary hours on the day for two or more hours, the Employee shall be allowed a paid crib break of 30 minutes without deduction of pay. Provided where the crib break is not taken then, in addition to any overtime payments, the 30 minutes will be paid at the appropriate overtime rate of pay.
(c) The Company may stagger the time of taking meal and rest breaks to meet operational requirements, and so as not to interfere with the continuity of work or operations.
(d) A meal allowance may be payable subject to the provisions of Appendix B clause B1.7.
