Overtime and. Except as otherwise provided, when employees are required to work in excess of eight hours per day, they shall be paid for Overtime on actual minute basis at the rate of time and one-half. Overtime and. Overtime hours may be paid for at the appropriate rate of pay or in turn may be in a banking form at the option of the employee. Should the employee wish to bank overtime hours, must accordingly advise the supervisor of choice of this option within twenty- four hours of the working of the said overtime. Banking overtime may be taken in the form of paid leave at a mutually agreed time between the supervisor and the employees. Such banked overtime shall not exceed forty (40) hours and may be accumulated between the f i r s t day of January and the f i r s t day of December of each calendar year. If the banked overtime is reduced from the 40-hour maximum, it may be replenished. Banked overtime may be taken as paid leave in f u l l shifts or less provided requests are made in writing twenty- four (24) hours in advance.
