Overtime Call-In Procedure. A. UNPLANNED PATROL VACANCIES Step # 1 Vacant Patrol Officer position(s) on a patrol shift will be covered by Patrol Officer(s). The immediately preceding patrol shift and the immediately subsequent patrol shift will be offered the first opportunity be seniority to cover the shift in an overtime capacity.
Example 1. If the current shift experiences a xxxxxxx shortage, officers from the next or on-coming shift will be called in on a seniority basis, i.e.; starting with the most senior member of the team and selecting in a descending order.
Example 2. If the next shift to report for duty is below xxxxxxx needs, the senior officer from the current shift will have the first opportunity to work overtime. All vacancies will be filled on a descending seniority basis. Step #2 After this selection process has been exhausted, overtime opportunities will be offered to other officers assigned to patrol teams on a rotational basis. The rotation shall begin by seniority and descend there from. Once a patrol officer is given an opportunity to cover a portion of a shift, he/she will not have an opportunity until all other patrol officers within the respective patrol division has been asked rotationally.
Example 1. Patrol officer #1 is asked to cover a shift. The officer declines and the request flows down to patrol officer #20 who accepts. On the next opportunity, the list starts at patrol officer #21 and so on through the entire list, and then reverts back to patrol officer #1. There shall be a list of patrol officers assigned to the patrol division by seniority. Step #3 After steps #1 and #2 have been exhausted, overtime opportunities will be offered to all other patrol officers’ rank through the entire police division (including, but not limited to, detectives, COPS/POP’s, SRO’s, DARE and Drug Unit). This will be done on a rotational basis. The rotation shall begin by seniority and descend there from. Once a patrol officer in this category is given an opportunity to cover a portion of a shift, he/she will not have an opportunity until all other patrol officers within this respective category have been asked rotationally.

The food service manager will contact persons in sequence of the seniority list as prescribed by the programmed list in the computer. The manager will call the telephone number, allow for a minimum of six (6) rings and leave a message that Oberlin College called for overtime, when possible. Overtime Call-In Procedure. The purpose of this Letter of Understanding is to ensure that the Company maintains a reasonable and flexible work schedule and coverage in order to service our customers. 'Short Term Non-Attendance (up to one week) The Company will call up to five (5) people from the same job classification to fill this vacancy on an overtime basis.
Overtime Call-In Procedure. 1. When the Sheriff determines that manpower requirements necessitate that the employees work overtime, assignments for such overtime shall be made in accordance with the provisions of this Article which apply only to Command Officers covered by this Agreement.

In the event that the Employer determined the need to call-in an employee or employees for work that needs to be done outside of the scheduled work hours, such call-in shall be on the basis of seniority by division. The Employer shall maintain a list in each division listing the employees in that division by seniority. At such time as the need for call-in overtime should arise, the Employer shall first offer the call-in overtime assignment to the most senior employee on the list in that division. If, after reasonable attempt, the Employer is unable to contact the most senior employee, or the most senior employee declines the call-in overtime assignment, the Employer shall continue down the list in descending order of seniority, until such time as the call-in overtime assignment is filled.
Overtime Call-In Procedure. (a) For regular overtime to maintain Article XIX, Section 1, for twenty-four (24)- hour, partial, and ordered-to-work overtime.
(b) Overtime is to be offered to firefighters in a uniform manner of rotation based on last date of accepted overtime. A master overtime list will be maintained by the Officer in Charge for twenty-four (24)-hour, partial, and ordered-to-work overtime
(c) Overtime will be managed by an automated system agreed upon by Union and Management.
(d) In the event of a disagreement on which automated system to use or of automated technology failure, the Officer in Charge will default to manual calling of overtime based on last accepted overtime date.

19.02 The Employer will attempt to distribute overtime work in a fair and equitable manner, providing that such attempts do not impair the orderly and efficient operation of the Fire Department, as set forth below. Nothing in this Article shall be construed to limit the Employer’s authority to offer overtime opportunities to a Captain or a Lieutenant when there is no ranking officer on duty. In the event there is no ranking officer on duty, the Employer may offer overtime to a Captain or Lieutenant by using the procedure set forth in this Agreement. Nothing set forth in this Article shall be construed to limit the Employer’s ability to mandate overtime when necessary.
19.03 The Employer shall maintain and attempt to fill its overtime needs from a single overtime list excluding non-bargaining unit members, according to the following criteria. When overtime is available, the employee with the least credited hours shall be contacted by telephone. If the call is placed after 7:00 a.m. and no contact is made by telephone or cellular phone, the employee shall be contacted by pager. An employee who is offered work and for any reason refuses or fails to work the overtime, shall for the purposes of overtime equalization be credited with the overtime hours as if he had worked the hours with a maximum of twenty-four (24) hours per shift. Employees who are unavailable to be contacted by telephone, cellular phone or pager shall be treated similarly.
19.04 In the event there is no ranking officer on a shift for which an overtime call-in is made, the most senior qualified employee on such shift shall be entitled to receive out of classification pay, in an amount equal to the hourly rate of the next highest rank.
19.05 Emergency overtime shall not be subject to the overtime equalization list. However, specialty overtime (i.e., inspections, arson investigation, etc.) shall be credited only if worked by the employee who is subject to the overtime call.
19.06 Notification for a full shift of overtime shall commence at 6:00 a.m. immediately preceding such shift. In the event the overtime available is for the same shift during which the call is to be made, such call shall be made within one (1) hour of the receipt of the notice which gives rise to the overtime.

Overtime Call-In Procedure. 16.7.4.1 If the employee listed at 16.7.4.3 b) in the call in procedure below is not called to work the overtime, that employee shall be entitled to receive the “incorrect call in allowance” as prescribed in the allowances table at Clause 24 provided that the person who has incorrectly applied the procedure can be identified and subjected to disciplinary action. No other claims relating to incorrect call in for overtime will be paid.
