Overtime Eligibility and Pay. When any D-level employee works between forty (40) and forty-eight (48) hours in a seven (7) day work period, he/she shall be paid at a rate of one and one-half (1-1/2) times his/her regular straight-time hourly rate of pay for each overtime hour worked. Overtime worked beyond forty-eight (48) hours in a seven (7) day work period shall be paid at double time his/her regular straight time hourly rate. Overtime pay shall be received in one-tenth (1/10th) of an hour segments. For purposes of this Article, time worked shall include only that time spent on duty as provided by the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), plus time compensated but not actually worked for jury duty, holidays, compensatory time and vacation leave, but shall not include any other uncompensated periods or time which is compensated but not actually worked, including but not limited to sick leave, injury leave, or any other paid or unpaid leave of absence. Call-back hours not worked will not be counted towards overtime (time and one-half or double time) eligibility. All overtime shall be paid on the basis of a regular straight-time hourly rate calculated by dividing an employee's annual salary by 2080.

Overtime Eligibility and Pay. (A) It shall be the policy of the City to avoid overtime work except when absolutely necessary. Only the appointing authority may authorize overtime work when such overtime work is necessary to prevent loss of life, damage or property and for continuance of essential public services. (4) Members working a non-standard workweek shall be compensated at straight-time rates for all hours in paid status, except that all hours in paid status in excess of ten (10) in any day or forty (40) in any non-standard workweek shall be compensated for at a rate of time and one-half (1½) provided the member has accumulated forty (40) straight-time hours in paid status in the non-standard workweek. Overtime Eligibility and Pay. A. Time and one-half will be paid for time over forty (40) straight-time hours per week in actual working, holiday, full-day increments of vacation or compensatory time status. Neither sick time hours, regardless of when scheduled, nor any incremental or partial day use of vacation or compensatory time will count toward hours worked for eligibility for payment at time and one-half. B. Time and one-half will be paid for time worked on an employee's first regular day off providing that said employee has accumulated forty (40) straight-time rate hours during the workweek defined in Section 10.2 above, in actual working, holiday, or full-day increments of vacation or compensatory time. C. Double time will be paid for time worked on an employee's second regular day off providing that said employee has accumulated forty (40) straight-time rate hours during the workweek defined in Section 10.2 above, in actual working, holiday, or full-day increments of vacation or compensatory time and eight (8) hours of pay at time and one-half. D. Time worked in excess of forty (40) hours per week due to work schedules being changed at the request of the employee(s) with the prior consent of the Zoo Director is not subject to overtime compensation. E. An employee's request for either overtime pay or compensatory time off in lieu of overtime pay shall be granted by the President and CEO based upon the Zoo's work schedule, in the case of compensatory time off, or the Zoo's ability to pay in the case of overtime payment. F. Overtime pay shall be granted where a schedule change results in excess of forty (40) hours within any seven (7) day period unless the employee is notified of the schedule change at least seven (7) calendar days prior to its occurrence. In the event of a schedule change made without seven (7) days' prior notice, the employee is required to work his or her regular schedule plus the newly scheduled hours and will be paid at time and one- half for the newly scheduled hours.

Overtime Eligibility and Pay. (A) Calculation of Daily Overtime. Overtime will be calculated from shift to shift. Overtime will be paid if an employee works more hours than the hours of his/her regular shift. For purposes of this Subsection (A), the term "time worked" shall mean only actual work time, and shall not include any paid or unpaid time that is not actually worked, except for paid lunch periods in continuous operations as referenced in Section 16.7. Time and one-half will also be paid for call-backs as referenced in Section 26.5, regardless of whether the employee has actually worked eight (8) hours in the day.
