Professional and Educational Leave. Nurses may be granted leave(s) of absence with pay to attend workshops, seminars and short courses as approved by the Employer, which may be deemed beneficial to the nurse's professional development especially as it relates to her/his responsibilities. Selection shall be made on an equitable basis from nurses who make application to attend. Such permission shall not be unreasonably denied. Seniority shall accrue while on leave under this section.

Professional and Educational Leave. (a) Leave of absence with pay or without pay may be granted to employees to attend professional and educational meetings, courses, or other events which may be judged beneficial to the employee's professional development, especially as it relates to her responsibilities with the Employer.
Professional and Educational Leave. (a) An employee shall be entitled to leave of absence without loss of earnings from her regularly scheduled working hours on the day she is to write any examinations required in any recognized course in which employees have been approved by the Employer to enrol in order to upgrade their nursing qualifications. Professional and Educational Leave. Education can be looked on as training and development. Training is required while development expands the level of skills of a nurse. Training is usually required by the Employer and development requested by the nurse. It is felt that all staff will require both training and development throughout their career and that the County should require upgrading and encourage development. It is stressed that all nurses are involved, not just supervisory personnel. The County portion of any educational programme is conditional upon successful completion of the programme by the nurse.

Leave of Absence Due to Upon receipt of medical proof, the Employer shall grant a leave of absence up to a maximum of six months to a nurse who pregnant, provided that she has completed at least ten (10) months of continuous service with the as of the date on which the leave began, Such leave shall be subject to the following conditions. All meetings, workshops and seminars of the I.S.A.H.S. will be posted.
