Sick Leave Credit Accumulation. Each full-time Teacher shall be credited with twenty (20) or more sick days leave on the first day following their return to duty, the unused balance of which shall be accumulated to the Teacher’s sick leave account.
Sick Leave Credit Accumulation. 27.07.01 Teachers shall be entitled to accumulate 240 sick leave days to their account. The employee’s accumulated sick leave credits in this account shall be referred to as “Bank A” CSL days.

Sick Leave Credit Accumulation. The sick leave credits will be cumulative from the first day of employment but not usable until the end of the first six (6) months of the probationary period. Each employee shall receive sick pay at full rate of pay for any time lost by any accident or illness, and such lost time shall be deducted from sick leave credits limited to the total days accumulated for sick leave. Any time lost through occupational injury or occupational illness shall not be deducted from sick leave credits. For the purpose of this Article, a day shall mean any shift that commences in any calendar day and terminates in the same calendar day or the immediately following calendar day.
Sick Leave Credit Accumulation i) On the first day of each school year a full-time teacher shall be credited an allowance of twenty (20) days sick leave and for the purposes of the plan, unused sick leave days shall be accumulated and carried forward from year to year to a maximum of 340 days. The sick leave credits for each teacher will be carried forward to the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board from the boards in existence prior to 1 January 1998.
ii) Notwithstanding Article 17.03 (a) (i), teachers under contract as of 25 January 1999 with more than 340 days of accumulated sick credits shall have their total sick leave credit balance transferred to the new plan.
(b) A teacher shall not earn sick leave credits in any month in which the teacher did not work and was not paid for at least one half of the working days in the month. Teachers on leave of absence with pay, including sick leave, will continue to be eligible for the allowance of sick leave.
Sick Leave Credit Accumulation. 16.7.1 The Board shall establish and maintain a Sick Leave Plan for Member’s absences related to Member illness or dental condition as hereinafter provided and shall maintain a Sick Leave Account for each full or part time regular Day School Teacher employed by the Board under this Agreement.
16.7.2 For the purposes of this Plan:
a) A fraction of a day used shall be taken to the nearest higher half day;
b) No days will be credited to a Member on Leave of Absence or on strike, lock out or withdrawal of services;
c) A Member will neither be eligible to accumulate nor to make use of Sick Leave Credit while not actively employed by the Board;
d) Part-time Members shall be allowed to accumulate and shall be deducted Leave Days on a pro-rata basis in accordance with their teacher assignment;
e) Where a Member commences employment after the first day in a School Year for the purpose of Article 16.7, the Sick Leave of twenty (20) days shall be prorated.
f) If a Member submits a resignation effective earlier than the last working day of any month of the working year, deduction shall be made from the Member’s Sick Leave Credit for the remaining months of the school year at the rate of two (2) days per month pro rated.
g) Once the Member’s Sick Leave Credits have expired, no salary payments or further accumulation of Sick Leave Credit shall occur. Benefits for a Member shall be continued until the end of the next following month after the utilization of all credits. Continuation of Benefits may be arranged by the Member at the Member’s own expense.
h) During each year, a Member of the Bargaining Unit other than those governed by Article 16.7.2 i), shall be allowed two (2) days Sick Leave per month of service, and for the purpose of the Plan shall be credited annually with twenty (20) days less any portion used until the total number of days accumulated in the Reserve amounts to a maximum of two hundred (200) days.
i) Any Member eligible for more than two hundred (200) days accumulation as of June 30, 1998, will retain the right to accumulate Sick Leave Credit Days to the accumulation maximum defined in his/her predecessor Collective Agreement. However, such Members shall only be entitled to twenty (20) Sick Days per school year effective September 1998.
Sick Leave Credit Accumulation. 15.02.01 The unused portion of the annual sick leave allowance may be carried forward and accumulated from year to year, to a maximum of two hundred (200) days. Notwithstanding the above, a Member may accumulate up to three hundred (300) days for the purposes of Retirement Gratuity.
15.02.02 A Member who has been credited with sick leave by the Employer under the sick leave provisions of a predecessor Board or another Collective Agreement or employment relationship with the Board shall be entitled to have such accumulated sick leave credited according to the limits in 15.02.01.
Sick Leave Credit Accumulation. 18.4.1 For the purposes of this Plan:

18.4.2 The Board shall report each year, to each Member, unused Sick Leave Credit accumulation.
a) Any Medical Absences by a Member which exceed five (5) consecutive school days may require medical documentation upon return to their duties, if the Board so requests.
b) The Board reserves the right to have the Member submit a Certificate from a Doctor named by the Board, regardless of the duration of the illness. The Board agrees to notify a Member of its intention to implement this clause via the Human Resources Superintendent/Manager or their designate and give reasons for so doing. Where the Board has requested such certification, the Board shall be responsible for the costs of the certification.
Sick Leave Credit Accumulation. Paid sick leave shall accumulate and be granted at the rate of one hour for each fourteen point four-four-four (14.444) regular hours paid to a total maximum accumulation of eleven hundred and twenty-five (1125) hours.
Sick Leave Credit Accumulation. Section 1 Employees employed by the Board shall be entitled to fifteen (15) days of sick leave with pay for each year under contract, which shall be credited at the rate of one and one-fourth ( 1¼) days per month of employment. Accumulation of sick days shall be unlimited. In calculating the value of sick leave for an employee who holds two (2) contracts, the daily rate will be used in accordance with Article 25.
Section 2 Employees may use sick leave for absence due to personal illness, illness or disability associated with pregnancy or delivery of a child, injury, exposure to contagious disease which could be communicated to others and for illness, injury, or death in the employee’s immediate family. “Immediate family” means spouse, son (in-law), daughter (in-law), father (in-law), mother (in-law), grandparents (in-law), brother (in-law), sister (in-law), legal guardian or other person who stands in place of a parent, or others who are related to the employee by blood or through marriage. Sick leave must be taken in one hour increments, starting with a minimum of two (2) hours.
