Student Supervisors. Employees who work exclusively as student supervisors shall be excluded from the following articles:
(i) Article 17.01 (ii) (c) (II); (ii) Article 17.03 (iii) 17.13
Student Supervisors. Up to One Hundred Ninety-Five (195) days per school year, but not less than One Hundred and Eighty-Five (185) days per school year.
Student Supervisors. Employees hired exclusively as Student Supervisors may accumulate seniority; however, their seniority shall not be exercised for the purpose of bidding on posted positions other than positions classified as Student Supervisors. In the event that a Student Supervisor applies for a position and is successful based on their qualifications and skills, and complete the probation period, the Board will recognize their service to the District and adjust their seniority.
Student Supervisors. The following terms and conditions shall only apply to Student Supervisors.
1. Nine percent (9%) payment of their hourly rate in lieu of vacation pay, statutory holidays, paid leave of absence.
2. The hours of employment shall be restricted to the noon hour period and/or before or after school at each school and student supervisors will not be required to work in excess of one (1) hour in either position except in the event of unforeseen or emergent circumstances that may require the student supervisor to work in excess of one (1) hour. Prior approval of the Administrative Officer must be obtained.
3. The Board shall pay wages every second Friday. On each pay day each student supervisor shall be provided with an itemized statement of their wages and deductions. Payment shall be made by way of deposit to the employee's bank.
4. It is recognized that teachers may also provide student supervision pursuant to the School Act. This Letter of Understanding is not applicable to these persons.
5. Student Supervisors shall not be paid overtime as a result of work performed by them as a student supervisor.
6. Student Supervisors shall be classified as a regular employee except where varied by language.
7. The successful applicants to the position of Student Supervisor shall be placed on trial for a period of 65 working days.
8. Seniority for Student Supervisors is applied on a classification only basis. Seniority shall be accumulated in hours and be effective from the date of employment and maintained as a separate list. Employees shall be entitled to use their seniority for the following purposes: - call to work within Student Supervision classification; - location of shift preference within Student Supervision classification vacancies. Seniority accumulated as a Student Supervisor shall not be considered in job postings for other job classifications within the bargaining unit. Effective July 1, 1993, substitute and temporary Student Supervisors shall accumulate seniority and shall be entitled to special consideration by right of seniority. When a Student Supervisor is the successful applicant to a regular position, their seniority as a Student Supervisor shall be converted and back dated to a calendar date upon successful completion of the probationary period based on the following formula: 80 hours worked = 1 month of seniority An up-to-date seniority list shall be sent to the Union and posted on all bulletin boards in April of each year.
Student Supervisors. Casual employees shall include casual, seasonal, and substitute employees. Casual employees and seasonal employees shall be defined in accordance with SERB. Substitute employees shall be defined as those who have worked less than sixty-one (61) continuous workdays in the same regular position. The term "bargaining unit" or "unit" wherever used herein, refers collectively to the employees employed in the job classifications listed in Section B of this article.
Student Supervisors. This Part of the Collective Agreement is the only Part that is applicable to Student Supervisors. In addition to Part 9, Part 1 - Articles 1 (d), 2, 3, 6, 23, 24, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 31 are also applicable.
Student Supervisors. An employee in this classification supervises students during non-instructional time. An employee in this classification ensures the safety of students in assigned crosswalks and traffic areas. Bus Driver Administrative Policy
Student Supervisors. The workday, lunch, and other breaks for each student supervisor, except hall monitors, are to be determined on an individual basis. The above does not preclude any individual reduction particular to a specific part-time student supervisor or the alteration of the individual workday of a student supervisor that is mutually agreeable to both the student supervisor and his/her supervisor.
Student Supervisors. The work year for the 9 month ESP employee shall correspond with the teachers’ school year.
Student Supervisors. The Board retains and reserves the ultimate responsibility for proper management of the District conferred upon and vested in it by the statutes and the Constitution of the State of Illinois and the United States, including, but not limited to, the responsibility for and the right:
1. To maintain executive management and administrative control of the District and its properties and facilities, and the professional activities of its employees as related to the conduct of school affairs.
2. To hire all employees and, subject to the provisions of the law, to determine their qualifications, and the conditions for their continued employment, or their dismissal or demotion, their assignment, and to promote and transfer all such employees. DocuCom PDF Trial
3. To establish programs and courses of instruction, including special programs, and to provide for athletic, recreational and social events for students, all as deemed necessary or advisable by the Board. xxx.xxxxxxxxx.xxx
4. To delegate authority through recognized administrative channels for the development and organization of the means and methods of instruction according to current written Board policy or as the same may from time-to-time be amended.
5. To set standards for the services to be offered to the public.
6. To increase, reduce or change, modify or alter the composition and size of the work force, including the right to relieve employees from duties because of lack of work or funds or other proper reasons.
7. To establish work schedules and to determine the starting and quitting time, and the number of hours to be worked.
8. To establish, modify, combine or abolish job positions and classifications.
9. The exercise of the foregoing powers, rights, authorities, duties and responsibilities by the Board, and the adoption of policies, rules, regulations and practices in furtherance thereof, shall be limited only by the specific and express terms of this Agreement.
