UNION COMMITTEE AND REPRESENTATION. 8.01 The Union may elect or select a bargaining committee to a maximum of two (2). The two (2) committee members shall be paid their regular rate for all regularly scheduled working hours lost due to attending negotiation meetings with management, up to the time application is made for conciliation services and the services of the conciliation officer are used. a. Each xxxxxxx or chief xxxxxxx may be permitted by his department manager during working hours to leave his or her post during working hours to assist in the presentation of a grievance. Such consent shall not be unreasonably withheld by the department manager. UNION COMMITTEE AND REPRESENTATION. 8.01 (a) Where negotiations are conducted on a joint basis for any or all of the Employer's retirement lodges for any renewal or extension of this Agreement, the Union may elect or otherwise select a negotiating committee consisting of one (1) representative from each retirement lodge. Each xxxxxxx shall, with the consent of her supervisor, be permitted to leave her regular Company duties for a reasonable length of time to function as a xxxxxxx as in this Agreement provided, including time to meet with the President of the Local Union or a National or Local Representative of the Union about a grievance. The President of the Local Union or National or Local Representative shall seek consent for such meeting from the Executive Director, or designate. Such consent from the Executive Director or designate will not be unreasonably withheld. A meeting with the President of the Local Union or the National or Local Representative of the Union and the stewards shall be in a place where the two may confer privately. 8.03 The name of each of the Negotiating and Grievance Committee members, including the Unit Chairperson, shall be given to the Employer in writing and the Employer shall not be required to recognize any such representative until it has been so notified.   • – UNION COMMITTEES AND REPRESENTATIVES 6.01 The Employer will recognize the following: (a) Two (2)

  • Union Bargaining Committee A Union Bargaining Committee shall be appointed by the Union and shall consist of up to three (3) members of the Union together with the President of the Union or her designate. The Union shall have the right at any time to have the assistance of members of the staff of the Union when negotiating with the Employer.

  • Union Negotiating Committee Leave of absence shall be granted to not more than seven (7) employee representatives selected to negotiate the renewal of the Collective Agreement for necessary time off including travel time, direct negotiating time, and necessary preparation time. The Union shall reimburse the College for all pay during such leave except for the days scheduled by the parties for direct negotiations and up to a maximum of ten (10) days if required, for meetings of the Union Negotiating Committee to prepare for and to complete bargaining.

  • Bargaining Committee (a) A Bargaining Committee shall be appointed and consist of not more than three (3) members of the Employer, as appointees of the Employer, and not more than three (3) members of the Union as appointees of the Union.   • Local Negotiating Committee (a) The Hospital agrees to recognize (as defined in the local provisions under L9) number of Negotiating Committee members as outlined in the local appendix to represent their respective bargaining units. This committee shall be comprised of the unit chairperson in addition to (as defined in the local provisions under L9) number of committee members to be elected or appointed from amongst employees in the Bargaining Unit who have completed their probationary period. (b) Where the Hospital participates in master bargaining, the purpose of the Local Negotiating Committee shall be to negotiate local issues as defined by the central parties. (c) Where the Hospital does not participate in master bargaining, the purpose of the Local Negotiating Committee shall be to negotiate a renewal of this Collective Agreement. (d) The Hospital agrees that the members of the Negotiating Committee shall suffer no loss of earnings for time spent during their regular scheduled working hours in attending such negotiating meetings with the Hospital up to and including conciliation. Hours compensated during negotiations will be credited towards part-time employees seniority in accordance with this article. (e) Nothing in this provision is intended to preclude the Local Negotiating Committee from having the assistance of any CAW National or Local representatives when engaged in local negotiations with the Hospital.

  • LABOR MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE Section 1. In order to facilitate communication between labor and management, a Labor Management Committee consisting of the Department Head and/or his designated alternate, the Assistant Chief of Police and two (2) Team Managers, and three (3) representatives of the Lincoln Police Union, along with at least one (1) Team Representative, will make up the Labor Management Committee. The Department Head will designate management personnel and the Union shall select Union representatives. Members will serve at the pleasure of the Department Head or Union President, depending upon who the member represents. Members will serve and be replaced on a staggered system (approximately three (3) year limit) depending upon the schedule agreed upon by the Department Head and the Union President. Section 2. Each Team area will be represented by a member of any rank to serve as spokesperson for that area. They will meet at least one week prior to the monthly Labor Management Committee meeting to formulate the common areas of interest and to elect a spokesperson to present the items in writing to the Labor Management Committee. Payment for attending this meeting will be at the discretion of the Department Head. Spokesperson will be chosen on a rotating basis. Team representatives will be picked by a vote of the Team members that they are representing. Section 3. The Labor Management Committee may discuss any area of the Department, with limitation only on those areas already under agreement between the City and the Union. The agenda will be based on the problem areas brought to the attention of the Committee by the Team Representatives and on any area representative members of Labor Management feel need to be discussed. Topics for discussion will be posted on the Union bulletin board and disseminated to Labor Management Committee members at least one (1) week prior to the monthly meeting. Section 4. Membership is subject to change through attrition and elected office, however, a one (1) week notice must be given to the Committee to afford the new member(s) voting privileges. Section 5. Realizing that communication is the key element to the smooth operation of any organization, the Labor Management Committee will xxxxxx an element of cooperation and unity of organizational members, be they labor or management. Section 6. Meetings shall be held at least once per calendar month. Additional meetings may be scheduled by mutual agreement of the Committee and the Department Head. Section 7. A quorum shall consist of two (2) members from labor and two (2) members from management.
