Biologist. Is in the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife assigned to monitor the lynx hotline and required to remain on standby status during the lynx trapping season will be eligible to receive standby pay. Standby pay will begin on the third week of October and end the last day of December each year. Affected employees are required to be on standby from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday during the trapping season. Standby pay shall not be paid for any other time. Employees called out on a scheduled day off during the period of standby shall receive hour for hour compensatory time for hours worked. Standby pay shall be suspended during all hours in call-out status.

Biologist. The Biologist shall help to interpret and implement the EPP and the operational permits enforced by the applicable resource agencies for environmental protection supporting documentation assessments as well as recommended environmental/historical BMPs and AMMs to protect these areas from negative impacts from the Operation. Biologist, trained by the Senior Biologist, will conduct required environmental assessments and monitor both of the DDHTR contractor’s debris removal and tree felling/removal crews to ensure operational permits are enforced by CalFire required BMPs and AMMs. Some of the Biologist shall be required to have aviary and amphibian specialties to assist in necessary evaluation and protection of species (endangered and otherwise). The Biologist are responsible for meeting the requirements, of the California and Federal Endangered Species Act Section 7 and Clean Water Act compliance.
