Fleet Maintenance. Notwithstanding Article 1.01 above, for the purposes of equipment overhaul or preventative maintenance upon five (5) work days’ notice the Employer may vary the shifts and work week of such employees of the Fleet Services Division pursuant to the following: (a) The normal hours of work shall be eight (8) consecutive hours per day (a paid one-half (½) hour for lunch included) and forty (40) hours per week. (b) The normal work week shall consist of five (5) consecutive work days, Monday to and including Friday. (c) Shift times shall be three o'clock p.m. (3:00) to eleven o'clock p.m. (11:00). (d) The afternoon shift premium of seventy-five cents (75¢) per hour shall apply to the entire eight (8) hour shift. (e) A designated chargehand shall receive an additional thirty cents (30c/ ) per hour premium for the afternoon shift. In the event a designated chargehand is working in the watershed the premium shall be fifty cents (50c/ ) per hour instead of thirty cents (30c/ ) per hour. (f) While working in the watershed on maintenance duties of any equipment, an afternoon shift employee shall be paid an additional premium of one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) per hour. (g) An employee on staff prior to February 1, 1992 may refuse to work this afternoon shift and shall remain on normal hours of work subject to the following provision. (h) In the event a minimum of two (2) journeyman mechanics do not elect to work the afternoon shift, and after consultation with the Union, the Employer shall designate two such employees to work the afternoon shift.
Fleet Maintenance. All participants will be issued a Company-issued credit card for the purchase of self-service gasoline and related materials to keep vehicles operating. They must abide by the rules governing the credit card. Fleet Maintenance. The County shall furnish and maintain in good working condition for the benefit of the City all necessary labor, maintenance, supervision, equipment, fuel, parts for County fire engines, ladder trucks and other vehicles for the purpose of performing the services, duties and responsibilities described in this Agreement.

Fleet Maintenance. The City will provide fleet maintenance and repair for Parks and charge for services in a manner consistent with City Departments. Fleet operations overhead will be allocated to Parks in a prorated share based upon number and type of vehicles/equipment to be maintained and shared benefit of the Division. City will accept Parks employees dedicated to their shop program.

STA maintains vehicles and equipment according to the company and manufacturer-directed standards: • To conform with the manufacturer’s suggested maintenance intervals, or such revised intervals as may be dictated by unusual operating conditions (for example: unusually low mileage, dusty operating conditions, extreme hot or cold weather, etc.). • In strict conformity with the commercial vehicle or school bus inspection laws of the particular state in which the equipment is being operated. • In such a way, at all times, protect the equipment investment. This requires prompt response to ensure that repairs are done at the point where they will require the lease expenditure. Examples of this may include: • Repairing an engine miss promptly to avoid a dropped valve, or severely scorched cylinder wall • Routine oil sampling of diesel engines to avoid catastrophic failures • Replacing kingpins promptly to avoid expensive machine work to resize the axle • Keeping cowls and bodies well-attached to avoid expensive damage at the cowl/body joint • Keeping the lowest-cost parts and other materials consistent with reasonable quality standards. • Using a comprehensive vehicle records system to ensure that critical equipment issues are planned for.
