Hours of Work/Work Week. 8.01 It is mutually agreed that the principle of the work week cannot be interpreted literally as it is recognized that there are extra duties normally associated with the teaching profession that have to be done outside the regular working hours if each individual instructor is to provide the highest quality educational programme practicable for every student. It is further agreed that because of the professional nature of the educational workplace, an employee may be granted permission by the supervisor to be absent from the regular place of work for brief periods to attend to personal matters, provided such time is requested for non-assigned periods.
8.02 Instructors shall be required to be in attendance at their regular place of work to carry out assigned duties for thirty (30) hours between the hours of 8:00 a.m. Monday and 5:00 p.m. Friday and any thirty (30) hour period between these hours assigned by the Employer shall be considered as five (5) work days.
8.03 Effective the date of signing this Agreement, Guidance Counsellors, Instructional Assistants, Researchers and Accessibility Services Coordinators shall be required to be in attendance at their regular place of work for thirty-five (35) hours a week between the hours of 8:00 a.m. Monday and 5:00 p.m. Friday.
8.04 By mutual agreement of the employee and the Employer, an employee may work on Saturday as part of their regular work week.
Hours of Work/Work Week. The hours of work for day shift shall be eight (8) hours per day forty (40) hours per week. The work week will be Monday to Friday.
Hours of Work/Work Week. 14.1 The work week for Full-time Employees for all classifications covered by this Agreement shall be from Monday to Friday inclusive.
14.2 The minimum hours of work for Full-time Employees shall be: (a)
Hours of Work/Work Week. Section 8.1 The normal workweek shall consist of five (5) workdays of 7 1/4 hours per day (exclusive of a 45 minute lunch period), except for any employees who currently work more than 7 1/4 hours per day. For those employees, the workday shall remain the same as is currently constituted.
Section 8.2 Should the City determine that a schedule requiring regular Saturday and/or Sunday work is necessary for employees on the payroll before March 6, 1974, the City will discuss the change with the Association and attempt to reach agreement with the Association with respect to premium pay, if any, for the work performed on Saturdays and/or Sundays. The Association may submit the dispute to arbitration in accordance with the provision of Article 22.
A. Should the City determine that a change is required for employees on the payroll before March 6,1974, (except for Dog Control Officers and Park Guards) relating to their days of employment, it is agreed that the Association and the City will meet and discuss any change in said work schedule prior to implementing the same.
B. If the parties are unable to agree, the matter shall be submitted to the American Arbitration Association or the PERB Grievance Arbitration Service for determination.
C. The arbitrator selected shall be given the authority to review and determine the following items whether or not, under the circumstances, a change in work schedule is warranted:
D. It is agreed that the parties shall provide the arbitrator with any relevant information which he may deem necessary to reach a fair determination.
Hours of Work/Work Week. 14.1 The work week for Full-time Employees for all classifications covered by this Agreement shall be from Monday to Friday inclusive.
14.2 The minimum hours of work for Full-time Employees shall be:
(a) Bus Driver: Five (5) hours per day;
(b) Bus Driver with Additional Duties: Eight (8) hours per day;
(c) Head Motor Vehicle Repair, Lead Head Mechanic, Head Mechanic, Mechanics, Motor Vehicle Body Repairer and Inventory Clerk/Dispatch: Eight (8) hours per day;
(d) Cleaners, Janitors, Custodian, and Head Custodians: Eight (8) hours per day;
(e) Maintenance Supervisor, Tradespersons, Building Specialists, General Maintenance, and General Labourer: Eight(8) hours per day;
(f) School Secretary: Seven (7) hours per day;
(g) Teacher Assistants, Teacher Assistant - LPN, Teacher Assistant - RN: Five and a half (5 1/2) hours per day;
(h) Library Technician, System Library Technician: Five (5) hours per day;
(i) Building Technician and Building Operators: Eight (8) hours per day;
(j) Student Support Workers: Seven (7) hours per day;
(k) Schools Plus Outreach Workers : 37 and ½ (37.5) hours per week.
(l) Parent Navigator: 37 and ½ (37.5) hours per week.
Hours of Work/Work Week. (a) The normal work day and work week for employees covered by this agreement will be eight (8) hours per day or forty (40) hours per week, exclusive of meal times.
(b) Hours of work for Janitors on afternoon shift and night shift will be eight (8) hours per day or forty (40) hours per week, inclusive of meal times.
(c) Employees may only report for work at their regular starting time and may not commence work later, unless pre-authorized to do so by their supervisor.
(d) When a bus is outside the School District on an approved one day trip all time spent on that run shall be deemed hours worked, including lunch breaks. This clause shall only be applicable during the recognized day shift hours.

Hours of work and the work week shall be determined by the Superintendent or his/her designee according to a prepared schedule which shall not include more than eight (8) hours in any day or forty (40) hours in any such work week, except as required to maintain normal operation and in case of emergency.

Hours of Work/Work Week. 1. Employees shall be paid for the full block of time for which they were scheduled and in no event shall an employee be offered less than four (4) hours of work for a shift or paid less than four (4) hours for a shift (absent leaving voluntarily).

3. Employees working a shift of up to four (4) hours shall receive a paid fifteen (15) minute break. Employees working a shift of more than four (4) hours and less than eight (8) hours shall receive an unpaid thirty (30) minute lunch break and a paid fifteen (15) minute break. Employees working a shift of more than eight (8) hours shall receive an unpaid one (1) hour lunch break and a paid fifteen (15) minute break.
4. When possible, the Flex Space shall be reserved for VX lunch breaks. When the Flex Space is not available, a good-faith effort will be made to provide alternative lunch break space.
