Improvement Planning. 30.1 The parties agree there will be educational, instructional, and organizational changes implemented in the future through the improvement planning process. The ASSOCIATION and the BOARD will work cooperatively to implement improvement planning. Neither party will utilize the collective bargaining agreement to impede the implementation of improvement planning goals. It is understood that the flexibility envisioned by this section does not include changes in seniority, wages, insurance, leave benefits, or length of work year unless specifically negotiated and approved by all appropriate parties.

Improvement Planning. The Village Charter School meets or exceeds the minimum requirements set by the State Board of Education and the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) to ensure that its students are taught by highly qualified teachers. At TVCS student achievement is a top priority. Through the Limitless Learning Method, TVCS continually assesses student’s learning needs and achievements as well as the success of teaching methods. If goals are not being met or exceeded, the Principal and the Board will assess the situation and find a solution to improve testing scores. In the event that TVCS does not make Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) as outlined in the NCLB, a team comprised of the Principal, Board, and any additional inside/outside technical assistance needed, will meet to develop a school improvement plan to address student achievement. This process will investigate all components that affect student achievement including, but not limited to, curriculum, instructional time, staff professional development, and instructional strategies. It will also be the team’s responsibility to monitor the implementation of the improvement plan for improved learning and teaching and continue to provide feedback and recommendations for strengthening ongoing student achievement. Improvement Planning. If Xxxxxxx Academy is placed in “needs improvement” status, the school will develop a five year strategic plan focused on the improvement of student performance. The strategic plan will be monitored by a review team established by the school’s administration and board of directors. This team will be empowered to recommend revision of goals as necessary and provide regular reports on implementation of the plan to the board of directors. Xxxxxxx Academy will also develop a Continuous School Improvement Plan based on its strategic plan and focused on the improvement of student performance. This plan will also focus on improving school and staff capacity (structure/resource allocation/teacher skill sets) to increase student achievement. Additionally the school will comply fully with the national and state mandates for No Child Left Behind including full compliance with the steps established by the ACT. The following chart lists the specific school improvement requirement per each year missing AYP. Should the time come that BA is placed in ‘‘needs improvement” status, the board of directors and the school administrator will guide the school through the process as required by the state of Idaho. Improvement Planning. Legacy Public Charter School is a school in which student success is our top priority. If it were determined, based on student performance, that the school was in need of improvement as outlined in the No Child Left Behind Act, the Administrator and the Governing Board would meet with Xxxxxxx Xxxxxxxx and/or educators selected by her who are familiar with the Harbor School MethodTM and develop a comprehensive plan for improving performance. The Governing Board would examine the current processes and develop a detailed performance improvement plan to address each process deemed important to achieve increased student success. Legacy charter school will comply with all federal and state requirements regarding student achievement and school improvement. In the event Xxxxxxx Xxxxxxxx is unable to fulfill her role in the improvement planning process, the Governing Board will appoint a Harbor School founding board member and two Harbor School founding teachers to develop the improvement plan. Improvement Planning. Permittee may submit requests for City assistance for future Improvements by May 15th of each year. This request shall include a proposed budget for the Improvement project including funding sources. The City will respond to all such requests of the Permittee within 30 days. The City and Permittee will schedule an annual year end inspection of the facility to identify planned work and establish schedules for such work.
