The Notice and Posting clause establishes the requirements for how official communications, notifications, or legal notices must be delivered between parties under the agreement. Typically, it specifies acceptable methods of delivery—such as email, postal mail, or in-person delivery—and may require that notices be sent to designated addresses or contacts. This clause ensures that all parties are properly informed of important developments, deadlines, or changes, thereby reducing the risk of misunderstandings or disputes due to lack of communication.

i) Qualifications as outlined in the job description will be determined through means such as: work history in similar salary grade positions, other relevant and/or related work history, past evaluations, response to interview questions, and reference checks.
e. When a member is not selected for a position, he/she will be notified and may request a written explanation.
f. External candidates will not be considered until it is determined no Association member meets the District qualifications for the new or vacant position.
g. If it is determined that no member meets District qualifications for the new or vacant position, external candidates will be considered.
h. If Association members do not apply during the five (5) day initial posting they will not be granted preferential treatment in the selection process.
i. External applicants will be given the opportunity to take the required testing (Part 1 and Part 2) once the posting has been open for five (5) days.
j. The District will only select candidates to interview from the pool of applicants who have passed Part 1 and Part 2 testing.
k. Administrators have the discretion of adding up to two (2) hours daily (10 hours per week) to a part-time employee’s work day. Notice and Posting. 1. All vacancies, including newly created positions, shall be filled within forty- five (45) calendar days from date the position becomes vacant (or is created) except in extenuating circumstances.
2. The Board shall give written notice to the Association of vacancies as soon as the vacancy is confirmed by Administration and posting shall be promptly provided by the Board to the Association President or his/her designee. A copy of the posting may serve as notice of the vacancy. The notice can consist of a job posting for a position to be filled and shall include the classification, title, the area (building) where the classification is currently assigned, the number of hours, job duties and the qualifications or requirements reasonably necessary to perform the job.
3. Any employee desiring to bid for a vacant job shall forward to Human Resources, within seven (7) days of notice to the Association, a letter expressing interest in the position and a description of skills and experience sufficient to meet the selection criteria. Failure of an employee to make such application during this time will bar said employee from any grievance for not being selected.
Notice and Posting. A copy of this Article and the School District’s Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy No. 416 shall be distributed to all affected employees on an annual basis and to all applicants upon hire. Employees will be expected to acknowledge receipt of notice in a form adopted by the School District. The School District shall also post notice in an appropriate and conspicuous location on School District premises that it has adopted a Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy and that copies of the policy are available for inspection during regular business hours in the District’s personnel office or other suitable locations.
