Posting of Openings. 1. An opening is defined as a position at a school site which remains after voluntary reassignments have been carried out at the site and which the District determines should be filled by a regular probationary or permanent employee rather than by a substitute or temporary employee.
2. The District will post at each school location a notice of each opening as it occurs during the school year and each opening which it knows will occur at the beginning of the following school year. Each notice shall state a deadline for applications. The opening shall not be filled prior to such deadline. Unit members who have filed a written request for reassignment under Article XII, “Reassignment,” or transfer under this Article shall be considered for these openings prior to requests received after posting.
3. The junior high school will post any openings caused by resignations or the creation of new positions for the second or third trimesters; however, any request for transfer or reassignment to these positions must be approved by the principal or principals involved. The District may, in cases when an opening occurs after the school year has commenced, fill such positions on an interim basis with a newly-hired employee without following transfer procedures.
4. Assuming a position created under Paragraph A.3., above, is to be retained for the next school year, it is to be posted by March 1 as an opening for transfer or reassignment purposes; and the new employee shall then be considered along with potential transferees or reassignees to determine who shall fill the position for the next school year.
5. Any teaching assignment receiving monetary compensation above and beyond the normal designated work day will be posted at all school sites and the District Office for not less than five (5) working days.
6. The District shall, upon request of an employee who has requested a transfer, notify that employee during summer recess of any posted openings which may arise during the summer. The employee’s request must be in writing and must include a summer mailing address.
Posting of Openings. 7.3.1 The District shall deliver to the Association and post in all school buildings all vacancies and new positions which occur during the school year and for the following school year upon knowledge of the vacancies. This posting shall contain the following:
7.3.1.1 A posting date which is at least five (5) working days;
7.3.1.2 A job description;
7.3.1.3 Qualifications necessary to meet the requirements of the position. No assignments to fill vacancies or newly created positions, pursuant to Sections 7.4 (Step 1) or 7.5 (Step 2) shall be made until the first non-contract day of summer.
7.3.2 The District shall, upon request by a unit member, notify that unit member during summer recess or period of leave of any posted openings which may arise during the summer recess or period of leave. The unit member's request must be in writing and must include a mailing address for the summer or period of leave, if other than unit member's home address.
7.3.3 If a unit member has a valid transfer application on file, it is not necessary to make a further application in order to be considered for any vacancies for which the unit member may have applied.
7.3.4 The District shall, upon request of the unit member, deliver, in writing, the reasons for the unit member not receiving the vacancy or newly created position.
7.3.5 No outside applicant shall be selected to fill a vacancy or a newly created unit position if there is a qualified unit member applicant, except during the summer period of non-contract days when internal & external applicants will be given equal consideration.
Posting of Openings. The District, no later than March 10 of each school year, shall deliver to the Association and post at the sites, all available reassignment openings at the site for the following school year. Each site shall only be responsible for posting a listing of reassignment openings at their site. The posting shall contain the following:
7.11.2.1 A posting date which is at least five (5) working days.
7.11.2.2 Qualifications necessary to meet the requirements of the position. No assignments to fill reassignment openings shall be made prior to the completion of the procedures in this section. This section shall not apply to reassignments made pursuant to Section 7.11.1.7 of this Article.
7.11.2.3 All job postings shall contain a detailed job description outlining the position, duties, and minimum qualifications for the position.
7.11.2.4 If a unit member has a valid reassignment request on file, it is not necessary for a unit member to make a further request to be considered for a reassignment opening for which the unit member is qualified pursuant to this section.
7.11.2.5 The District shall, upon request of the unit member, deliver, in writing, the reasons for the unit member not receiving the reassignment opening.
7.11.2.6 No outside applicant shall be permanently selected for a reassignment opening until the reassignment process is completed. All reassignment selections pursuant to this section shall be completed no later March 29. 7.11.3 Reassignment Process years of experience to request a reassignment to a reassignment opening. (Step 1)
Posting of Openings. The School District shall declare and publish written notice of all position vacancies covered by this contract that occur in the School District. Copies of each notice shall be posted in each school building and the District Office. Vacancies shall not be filled until notice of such vacancy has been posted for at least seventy-two (72) hours; provided, however, that vacancies posted on or after July 1 shall not be filled until notice of such vacancy has been posted for at least twenty-four (24) hours. A description of the vacant position as well as other pertinent information shall be accessible to all applicants. The School District may fill vacancies temporarily with substitute personnel pending the posting and processing of applications. The District shall notify teachers by district email that a certified position has been posted.
Posting of Openings. A. Any teaching assignment which becomes available for the following school year shall be posted in each of the school buildings and sufficient time should be given for unit personnel to apply.
B. Positions temporarily filled by the Board for the duration of a year will follow the above procedure before being permanently filled.
C. Applications made by teachers currently employed by the district for job openings shall be considered in a like manner as applications from other qualified applicants without preferences or prejudice.
Posting of Openings. 1. This District shall have the sole authority to determine when and where there is an opening.
2. The District will post via email to all unit members a notice of opening which occurs during the school year or summer session. Each notice shall state a deadline for applications which shall be not fewer than ten (10) working days after posting. The opening shall not be filled prior to such deadline.
3. When openings occur at the beginning of the school year due to an underestimation of enrollment at a school, then such openings may be filled by administrative transfer (see Section B) without using the posting requirement established herein.
4. The District may, in cases where an opening occurs after the school year has commenced, fill such position(s) on an interim basis with a newly hired regular unit member without following any posting procedures. Assuming such a position is to be retained for the next school year, it is to be posted no fewer than (twenty) 20 calendar days prior to the last duty day of that assignment. First opportunity to interview will be given to administrative transfers, second to voluntary transfers, and third to a new employee.
Posting of Openings. 9.2.1 An opening is defined as a position at a school or administrative department location which the District has determined is to be filled by a regular probationary or permanent unit member rather than by a substitute or temporary employee.
9.2.2 The District shall post at each school location a notice of each opening as it occurs during the regular school year or summer session. Each notice shall state a deadline for applications which shall be not less than seven (7) school days after posting. In the event an opening for the current school year becomes available within two (2) weeks prior to the start of the school year or thereafter, the deadline for application shall not be less than three (3) days. The opening shall not be filled prior to such deadline. Postings shall be sent to all members of the Association.
9.2.3 An opening, for posting purposes, is not created when a permanent or probationary employee is on a paid or unpaid leave of absence or a one semester opening exists.
9.2.4 Any unit member may apply for such openings by submitting the Interschool Transfer Request form to the principal of the school where the vacancy exists within the time limit specified above in Article 9.2.2.
9.2.5 Posting errors shall not be submitted to grievance. The error shall be corrected prior to filling the openings.
Posting of Openings. All openings for summer school and adult education teachers shall be posted in each school building within a reasonable time after the decision is made to carry out the program. Applications must be submitted within one
(1) week of the posting of said notices. Employees who have applied for such summer school positions shall be notified in writing of the action taken regarding their application.
Posting of Openings. 1. The Company will post anticipated openings system wide for a minimum of seven (7) days prior to freezing the permanent bid file. At the close of the posting period, the Company will post awards, including any awards resulting from vacancies created by the filling of the initial posting. In addition, all Flight Attendants affected by the awards will be notified in writing. Such awards may be for a period up to ninety (90) days in advance of the assignment.
2. Posting shall mean putting the information on a visible spot on the crew room bulletin board at each domicile and in STARS or any successor system.
3. Vacancies shall be awarded in seniority order.
Posting of Openings. The District shall publicize new job openings and vacancies represented by the bargaining unit within the departments and school buildings, where such open positions occur. Such postings shall be made at least five (5) working days prior to permanently filling the position. A copy of the job posting shall be forwarded to the Union President.
