PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT. Mater recognises the importance of professionally developing Employees whilst balancing the need to maintain patient/business imperatives.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT. Prior to being evaluated under this MOU, the District shall provide professional development relevant to the framework and evaluation process for all teachers. Such professional development shall be provided on Professional Development Wednesdays throughout the school year. Each employee within twenty (20) workdays of employment or within twenty (20) workdays from the commencement of the school year, whichever is later, shall be given a copy of the evaluation criteria, procedures, and any relevant forms or screenshots appropriate to the teacher’s position and track in the evaluation cycle. No teacher shall be evaluated by an evaluator who has not been trained in observation, evaluation, and the use of the specific instructional framework and rubrics contained in this agreement and any relevant state or federal requirements. Teachers who attend District scheduled meetings or in-services for PGESP outside of the workday will be compensated at curriculum rate. Two teachers (one elementary and one secondary) will be hired to act as mentors and trainers for the cohort. These positions shall continue and provided stipends as per the Supplemental Salary Schedule.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT. 6.1.1 Permanent full-time and part-time Employees will be eligible to apply for Professional Development support. All employees are eligible to access this avenue to further their professional development.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT. 1. On September 1 of each school year, the District shall allocate for each employee, not member FTE, 0.8% of the base salary to support the employee’s efforts towards meeting professional goal(s). Base salary is the beginning step on the salary schedule (BA 00).

  • Professional Development Plan Professional Development Plan (PDP) refers to plans developed by faculty members addressing the criteria contained in Article 22 and Appendix G.

  • Professional Development Program (a) The parties agree to continue a Professional Development Program for the maintenance and development of the faculty members' professional competence and effectiveness.   • Professional Development 9.01 Continuous professional development is a hallmark of professional nursing practice. As a self-regulating profession, nursing recognizes the importance of maintaining a dynamic practice environment which includes ongoing learning, the maintenance of competence, career development, career counselling and succession planning. The parties agree that professional development includes a diverse range of activities, including but not limited to formal academic programs; short-term continuing education activities; certification programs; independent learning committee participation. The parties recognize their joint responsibility in and commitment to active participation in the area of professional development.

  • Professional Development Activities Professional development activities are activities initiated by individual faculty members or groups of faculty members and may include attendance at conferences, workshops or seminars which facilitate the following:

  • Professional Development Days Upon request, each Employee shall be granted at least three (3) professional development days annually for professional development, at the Basic Rate of Pay. An Employee shall be advised, prior to taking any professional development days of any transportation, registration fees, subsistence and other expenses that will be paid by the Employer. Such hours not used in each fiscal year shall not be carried forward into subsequent years. Applications for such paid professional development opportunities shall be made in writing, to the Employer as early as possible.

  • Professional Development Day The Employees shall be entitled to spend three (3) working days with pay for the purpose of doing research and preparation related to their work at a date mutually acceptable to the Employer and the Employee.

  • Professional Development Leave A. Policy. Professional development leave shall be made available to employees who meet the requirements set forth below. Such leaves are granted to increase an employee's value to the University through enhanced opportunities for professional renewal, educational travel, study, formal education, research, writing, or other experience of professional value, not as a reward for service.

  • Training and Professional Development C. Maintain written program procedures covering these six (6) core activities. All procedures shall be consistent with the requirements of this Contract.

  • Professional Development Funds 23.1.1 Two Professional Development Funds, a Professional Development Support Fund and an Education Leave Fund, shall be established to support professional development activities as defined in 23.2. On April 1st of each year, the College will allocate an amount equal to no less than 0.9% of total faculty salary (exclusive of severance payments) to the Professional Development Support Fund, and an amount equal to no less than 0.6% of total faculty salary to the Educational Leave Fund. Any unused balances in these funds shall carry over to the next budget year.
