PROFESSIONAL DUES DEDUCTION. During the term of this Agreement, the University agrees to deduct monthly membership dues, proportionately each pay period, from the salaries due all members who individually and voluntarily give the University written authorization to do so on the "Authorization of Payroll Deduction of Membership Dues" supplied by the AAUP. The AAUP assumes the responsibility to obtain and deliver to the University said written authorization, or notices of revocation, except the University will have no obligation to deduct or remit the dues payable for the account of any faculty member whose dues deduction authorization form reaches the payroll department less than fifteen (15) calendar days before the semi-monthly pay day for which dues are to be deducted. The AAUP shall transmit written notices of revocation to the University not more than thirty (30) days and not less than fifteen (15) days prior to the expiration date of the current "Authorization of Payroll Deduction of Membership Dues" form. The University shall forward such dues for the previous month's salaries to the Treasurer of the AAUP, University of Delaware Chapter, at an address furnished, in writing, to the University by the AAUP on or before the tenth day of each month. The AAUP agrees to release and discharge the University of Delaware, its officers, agents, and employees from any and all liability whatsoever arising as a result of dues deductions. The AAUP assumes full responsibility for the disposition of monies so deducted once they have been remitted to the Treasurer of the AAUP as set forth above.

PROFESSIONAL DUES DEDUCTION. Payroll deductions for the payment of Association dues (DEA, Central OEA/NEA, OEA and NEA) and UEP affiliated professional organization(s) dues shall be provided by the Board in keeping with the following: 33.1. A professional staff member who wishes to authorize payroll deduction shall submit a written authorization for payroll deductions on a form provided by the Association to the Board's Treasurer of any year the staff member begins payroll deductions under this Agreement. Unless revoked or changed in accordance with procedures contained herein, an authorization shall continue from year to year. 33.2. The Association shall notify the Board's Treasurer as to the total amount of dues to be deducted per member. Such notification shall be in the form of a letter signed by the Association President or the Association Treasurer by September 1. 33.3. Within fourteen (14) calendar days following completion of each deduction, the Board's Treasurer shall remit the amount which was deducted to the Association Treasurer in check form made payable to "The Dublin Educators' Association." 33.4. Authorized payroll deductions shall be made in equal installments beginning with the November payroll month and continuing each month through June 30. 33.5. If a professional staff member ends his/her employment for reasons other than death of the member or takes a leave of absence before all installments have been deducted, the unpaid balance shall be deducted from the final payroll check if the amount of the check is sufficient to cover the unpaid balance and remitted to the Association Treasurer as provided above. 33.6. A professional staff member who wishes to add or delete membership dues deduction for any UEP affiliate organization(s), where a deletion does not amount to revocation of the entire amount being deducted from dues at the time of the deletion, shall do so only during September and October of any given year. The Association shall inform professional staff members of these options and to process any changes on revised authorization cards. The Association shall submit all revised authorization cards to the Board's Treasurer by October 10 of each year. 33.7. The Association shall promptly transmit any new authorization it receives after October 1 to the Board's Treasurer, who shall attempt to begin deductions with the next payroll, but in no case shall deductions begin later than the second payroll after the Board's Treasurer receives the authorization form. PROFESSIONAL DUES DEDUCTION. Once monthly during the term of this Agreement, or until further notified by the Association, Oakland will, for each faculty member who on the last payroll date of the month involved has earned sufficient compensation and has authorized Oakland to do so, deduct from the faculty member's compensation and remit to the Association an amount equal to the periodic professional dues or agency fee levied by the Association according to the current rate schedule. Oakland will have no obligation to deduct or remit the amount payable for any faculty member whose withholding authorization reaches the payroll department after the tenth of the month or who does not have sufficient compensation due on the last payroll date of any month to pay the faculty member's levy due the Association. The Association will indemnify Oakland against all liability Oakland may incur by reason of any dues deduction or remittance pursuant to this paragraph. The Association is obligated under this Agreement to conduct its dues collection activities in a constitutional manner and it agrees that it is doing so and will continue to do so.
PROFESSIONAL DUES DEDUCTION. A. Professional dues shall be deducted in equal amounts from eighteen (18) consecutive pays, starting with the first pay in October. Authorization for such deductions, including continuous membership, shall be provided to the Board Treasurer by the Association Treasurer. B. The Board Treasurer shall issue a single check to the Association Treasurer for all certificated/licensed personnel. C. No member may cancel dues payroll deductions without the approval of the Association Treasurer and must do so during the annual drop window of August 1 – August 31st. D. Fair share fee has been deemed unconstitutional and therefore, the following section of the contract, entitled Fair Share Fee, is null and void and shall be moved to a side letter as such. PROFESSIONAL DUES DEDUCTION. Payroll deduction for professional dues to all levels of NEA shall be on a continuing basis. Once an employee authorizes payroll deduction of these dues, yearly notice of continuance shall not be necessary. In the event an employee wishes to terminate his or her membership in the Teachers' Association, he or she will notify the local association according to the terms of the payroll deduction form. When a teacher modifies, alters or rescinds this authorization for payroll deductions from his or her salary, then the Association shall timely notify the employer in writing of this fact. "Timely notification" means that said notification in writing must be received by the employer from the Association no later than October 1st for each school year. The Association shall indemnify and save harmless the employer from any and all claims, demands, suits, and costs incurred in connection with any reasonable action taken or omitted by the employer for the purpose of complying with the provisions of this agreement.
PROFESSIONAL DUES DEDUCTION. A. The District shall deduct from the salary of the professional employees membership dues of the Association and transmit the deductions to the Association provided the District has been presented with cards signed by the individual professional employees authorizing such deductions. B. The monies deducted in accordance with section A of this Article shall be transmitted to the Association on a bi-weekly basis. C. The Association shall indemnify, defend and save the District harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits or other forms of liability that shall arise out of or by reason of action taken by the District in reliance upon the payroll deduction authorization cards submitted by the Association to the District. D. All payroll deduction authorization cards shall be collected and approved by the Association, which shall submit the same to the District. E. Payroll deduction authorization cards shall be printed at the expense of the Association and presented to the District by the end of the third week of October to qualify for full deductions during the school year. For those professional employees hired for the second semester of the school year, the form shall be presented to the District by the end of the last full week in February to qualify for dues deductions during the second half of the school year, ending June 30.
PROFESSIONAL DUES DEDUCTION. A. During the time the Association is recognized as the representative of the professional teaching personnel, as hereinabove provided, the Board shall deduct from the salaries of its teachers dues for the Association upon presentation to the Board of individual written authorizations, which authorizations shall be irrevocable until the following June 30th, and shall be automatically renewable for another year unless written notice revoking the said authorization is given to the Board by the individual teacher prior to June 30th. The deductions shall be made in twenty (20) installments in accordance with the payroll dates commencing with the second pay period in September. The dues deduction authorization form shall be prepared and distributed by the Association and shall contain a clause that the teacher waives all rights and claims for the monies deducted and transmitted and relieves the Board or any of its officers from any liability therefore. The Board shall transmit the monies collected within five school days of the installment dates to an officer and at a place designated by the Association in writing. Any authorizations presently on file with the Board shall be revoked upon the presentation to the Board of the dues deduction forms, properly executed by the teacher, and the most recent form shall be deemed the authorization of the teacher. The Association agrees to hold the District harmless with respect to any claims made concerning this article. The Association will assume all legal costs incurred from such claims. B. The District will provide, prior to September 15th each year, to the Association a list of all members of the Association who have on file dues deduction cards pursuant to Paragraph “A” and, before October 1st of each year, the Association will provide a list to the District of teachers subject to the Agency Fee deduction as provided in the following paragraphs. C. No member of the Association shall be subject to any agency fee. D. The District will deduct from the wages of all employees in the negotiating unit who are on the list as provided in Paragraph "B", an agency fee in an amount equal to the dues as deducted for a member who has filed a dues deduction card pursuant to Paragraph "A" and will transmit the monies deducted to the Association promptly. PROFESSIONAL DUES DEDUCTION. Tentative Agreement a. Teachers may elect to have deducted from their paychecks the dues for membership in the MCCTA, the Indiana State Teachers Association, and the National Educational Association. To deduct the dues, the School Employer must have on file a written statement signed by the teacher authorizing the dues deduction. The authorization for payroll deduction of Association membership dues shall be on a continuing basis unless revoked by the teacher, in writing, to the Office of the Superintendent. b. Dues shall be remitted to the treasurer of the MCCTA once each month. Deductions shall be withheld starting with the first check in October each year and continue in twenty (20) equal installments from twenty (20) consecutive paychecks, unless revoked by the teacher, in writing, to the Office of the Superintendent. c. Upon termination of a teacher’s contract, all unpaid dues will be deducted from the remaining paycheck(s) and remitted to the MCCTA, unless dues deduction authorization has been revoked by the teacher, in writing, to the Office of the Superintendent.
