Union Business Leave of Absence. An employee who has been elected or appointed by the Union to carry out authorized business of the Union on a full-time basis will be granted a leave of absence for that purpose in accordance with the following:
Union Business Leave of Absence. H.1 No more than five (5) nurses at one time may be absent on Union business leave. Normally, only one (1) nurse from any area or department may be absent on Union business, however, subject to staffing requirements, appropriate advance notice and availability of replacement personnel, a second nurse may be allowed time off. The number of days off in one (1) year by nurses in the full-time and part-time Bargaining Units will not exceed fifty (50) working days in total. Except where circumstances do not permit, six (6) weeks advance notice for a leave will be required. In the event members of the Bargaining Unit are elected to Provincial Committees, including any nurses elected to the position of Local Co-ordinator, additional time off as necessary to attend meetings will be granted. Such leave will be in addition to the fifty (50) days allocated to the Bargaining Unit. Such leave will be restricted to a maximum of two (2) nurses at one time from different departments and such two (2) nurses will be in addition to the maximum number of nurses outlined in paragraph 1 above. Where a Union leave day is cancelled with forty-eight (48) or more hours’ notice, the nurse whose leave was cancelled will be given back her or his tour to work.
Union Business Leave of Absence. SECTION 1. Members of the Union’s bargaining committee shall be granted time away from duty without loss of straight-time pay or benefits for the purpose of negotiating an agreement with the Employer
Union Business Leave of Absence. SECTION 1. Leaves of absences without loss of seniority shall be granted to those stewards or local Union officers involved in grievance matters, arbitration matters, local-regional Union matters, negotiation preparation and meetings. The above-mentioned personnel shall suffer no loss of pay or benefits for their Union Business Leave of Absence. The local Union (Local 70) shall be responsible to forward to the Employer the full cost of all lost time and benefits beyond the reservoir, prior to the closing date of the pay period. A reservoir of twenty-five working day benefits will be paid to any xxxxxxx(s) or officer(s) who claim time off for those events. The total of twenty-five (25) days is in the aggregate. The benefits paid shall include vacation time.
Union Business Leave of Absence a) In reference to Article (a), the total number of employees who may be absent at any one time two (2) exclusive of the entitlements elsewhere in this article or collective agreement. Employees may be from the full-time or part-time bargaining units and will not both be from the same department. Such requests shall be submitted in writing at least two (2) weeks in advance. The Hospital shall grant the requests for time off subject to the staffing requirements of the Hospital. Such leave will not be unreasonably withheld. In reference to Article (e), the Employer recognizes that time off during regular working hours may be necessary for the purpose of assisting employees and the local union in the administration of the Collective Agreement and the business directly pertinent thereto. As a result, the local union president or designate will designate up to two individuals who will be permitted paid time off to an aggregate of hours per year to attend to such duties. Where possible, the employee will provide the Employer with two weeks notice of such hours and will consider the Employer's operational needs in the scheduling of such hours. The granting of leave shall be subject to the staffing requirements of the Hospital and will not be unreasonably withheld.
Union Business Leave of Absence. 26 Employees elected to any Union office or selected by the Union to do work which 27 takes them from their employment with the County shall, at the written request of the 28 Union, be recommended in accordance with the leave provisions set forth in this collective 29 bargaining agreement for a leave of absence exceeding thirty (30) days. Members of the 30 Union selected by the Union to participate in any other Union activity shall be granted a 31 leave of absence at the request of the Union.

The benefits paid shall include vacation time.
Union Business Leave of Absence. The Union undertakes that it will not request leave for more than three (3) employees at any one time and that such request will be limited to not more than two (2) employees from the Nursing Department and/or not more than one (I)employee from any of the other Departments. No leave will be for a longer period than one (1) week at a time. The total leave for all employees shall not exceed forty (40) days in a calendar year. It is understood that this time will not include the training of Health and Safety certified workers
Union Business Leave of Absence. With the prior approval of the Cooperative, an employee designated by the Union to attend Union sponsored meetings and seminars shall be granted leave without pay for scheduled work hours lost for such purposes. The Union must notify the Cooperative in writing, at least five (5) days in advance of names of employee(s) designated to attend the seminar or convention and the dates of their absence.
Union Business Leave of Absence. The aggregate maximum of working days during any calendar year for Union business leave shall be sixty (60) working days. Adequate notice must be given to the Hospital. It is agreed that not more than two (2) shall be absent on such leave at the same time.
