- Union Recognition - Membership. (a) The Company agrees that all employees coming within the jurisdiction of the Union, as a condition of employment shall apply for membership in the Union upon the date of hire and shall sign a Dues Authorization Card. (b) All employees shall remain members in good standing throughout the life of the Agreement as a condition of employment.

- Union Recognition - Membership. (a) The Company agrees that all employees coming within the jurisdiction of the Union, as a condition of employment, shall apply for membership in the Union and sign a dues deduction authorization card and an application for membership card on or about the date of hire, and shall become a member in good standing thereof within thirty (30) days from the date of hire. Attainment of membership in good standing prior to completion of the probationary period will not affect the status of the employee under Article 5.03. (b) All employees hereinafter described under this Article shall remain members in good standing thereof throughout the life of this Agreement as a condition of employment, provided, however, that the Union shall not request the Company to discriminate against any employee for non-membership in the Union if such membership is not available to the employee on the same terms and conditions generally applicable to other members. The Company recognizes the Union as the sole and exclusive bargaining agent for all employees covered by the "Certification".
- Union Recognition - Membership. (a) The Company recognizes the Union as the sole collective bargaining agency for the members covered by this Agreement, and hereby consents and agrees to negotiate with the Union any and all matters affecting the relationship between the Company and all members within the scope of this Agreement as described in Article 1, Scope of Agreement. (b) It is a condition of employment of any employee as of the date of signing of this agreement who is a member of the Union or who thereafter becomes a member of the Union, that he/she remain a member in good standing. All future employees shall, as a condition of employment, become and remain members in good standing of the Union within twenty (20) days of commencing employment. The Union agrees that it will accept into and retain in membership any employee subject to the Constitution and By- Laws of the Union, and further agrees that an employee shall not be discharged in the application of this provision except for non-payment of dues. (c) The Company, upon signing this agreement and annually thereafter, shall supply the Union with a list containing the following information for all employees covered by this agreement: (i) Name and address; (ii) Date of hiring; (iii) Date of birth; (iv) Classification; (v) Salary; (vi) Experience rating and experience anniversary date (where appropriate). The Company shall notify the Union in writing with reasonable frequency with respect to resignation, termination, deaths, leaves of absence and other revisions in the data listed above, with effective dates. Within one month after the hiring of a new employee, the employer shall furnish the Union, in writing, with the data specified above for each new employee. (d) The Company agrees to allow for the placement of an on-site ballot box for annual union elections that may take place, provided that there is no disruption to the workplace or business operations. Any related meetings must be held off-site after business hours, and must not interfere with any operational requirements. (e) The Company shall advise new employees, or employees who are transferred into the bargaining unit, that a collective agreement is in effect and advise such employee(s) of the name of the union's Unit Chairperson. The Company shall advise the unit chair when an employee is hired or transferred into the bargaining unit.

- Union Recognition - Membership. 53.1 The Employer recognises the National Union of Workers NSW Branch (NUW) as the union representing all employees in related classifications who are covered by this Agreement. This representation extends to all terms and conditions of employment, whether those terms and conditions are subject to this Agreement. 53.2 It is a policy of the Employer that all Employees subject to this Agreement shall be given the opportunity to join the National Union of Workers NSW Branch.
- Union Recognition - Membership. The DISTRICT recognizes the UNION as the exclusive bargaining agent for the Full Time Paid Firefighters in the DISTRICT. Current positions within the bargaining unit are Captain, Lieutenant, and Firefighter. The DISTRICT recognizes that any change to wages, rates of pay, working conditions and all other terms and conditions of employment are subject to the collective bargaining process with the UNION per I.C. 44-1802. The DISTRICT shall remit, to the UNION Treasurer, union dues and assessments or service charges within seven (7) business days following a payday. Such dues and assessments or service charges are withheld from the pay of each employee. The UNION agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the DISTRICT and its officers, agents, employees, and/or representatives from and against any and all claims, losses, actions or judgments for damages arising out of or in connection with collecting and/or remitting such dues, assessment and/or service charges. The DISTRICT and UNION agree that it is not a condition of employment to be a member of the UNION. Employees desiring to become, and/or remain, a member of the UNION shall advise the DISTRICT with an “opt-in” letter provided by the UNION. Conversely, those who choose to "opt out" of UNION membership at any point in time shall advise the DISTRICT in the same manner. A designation to “opt-in” the UNION will not take effect until the BOARD receives advisement of the same in writing (including via email).

(b) Local dues, fees and assessments shall be remitted to the Local within fifteen (15) calendar days following the date deductions were made.   • RECOGNITION OF UNION Clause 2.01 The Employer hereby recognizes the Union as the sole and exclusive collective bargaining agency for all employees of Greater Sudbury Hydro Plus Incorporated in respect of hours of work, wages and working conditions save and except non-union supervisors, persons above the rank of non-union supervisor, and staff employed in a confidential capacity in matters relating to Labour Relations.
