Work Week and Work Schedule. (a) Work Week. The basic work week for employees shall consist of 40 hours of 5 consecutive 8 hour days with ½ hour for lunch, except clerical personnel and other designated classifications shall work 37 ½ hours of 5 consecutive 7 ½ hour days with 1 hour for lunch. The work week will be from 0001 Saturday through 2400 Friday.
(b) Operations Department and Survey Crew Work Schedule. In the Operations and Interpretation Department and/or Survey Crew, revision of the work schedule to allow alternatives to the present work schedule of 5, 8-hour days per week, which involves no reduction in total hours worked per pay period, will be considered by the District and the Union under the following conditions:
(1) Following submission of a plan and schedule for the work unit approved by the first level of supervision outside of the bargaining unit.
(2) Should a request for approval of a plan and schedule from the previous year be denied by the first level of supervision outside the bargaining unit, such denial may be reviewed by a Departmental Review.

A. Except as otherwise specified in this Agreement, the regular hours of work for full- time employees shall be thirty-seven and one-half (37.5) hours per week excluding meal periods or forty hours (40.0) per week excluding meal periods, as has been established for that job title at the particular job location. Any employee whose regular workweek has averaged more than forty (40.0) hours excluding meal periods in the past shall have a forty (40.0) hour work- week. The regular hours of work for full-time Correction Officers I, II & III, Correction Officer Chefs, and Correction Officer Head Cooks shall be forty-one and one quarter (41.25) hours per week excluding meal periods.
B. The work schedule, both starting times and quitting times, of employees shall be posted on a bulletin board at each work location or otherwise made available to employees and Union stewards.
C. When the Employer desires to change the work schedule of employee(s), the employer shall, whenever practicable, solicit volunteers from among the group of potentially affected employees, and select from among the qualified volunteers. The Employer shall, whenever practicable, give any affected employee whose schedule is being involuntarily changed ten (10) days’ written notice of such contemplated change. The provisions of this subsection shall not be used for the purpose of avoiding the payment of overtime.
D. To the extent practicable, the normal workweek shall consist of five (5) consecutive days, Monday through Friday, with the regular hours of work each day to be consecutive except for meal periods. Similarly, to the extent practicable, employees in continuous operations shall receive two (2) consecutive days off in each seven (7) day period.

On days when students and staff are released early, (i.e. the day before Thanksgiving), no unit members shall be released before the actual student/teacher dismissal time. The work week shall consist of five (5) days, Monday through Friday, at seven and one half (7.5) hours per day. This shall include one half hour for lunch. The regular work day will be from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. In the event that an Administrator intends to alter a unit member's hours of work during any fiscal year, such alteration shall be only within the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. When this alteration occurs, the Union president and Superintendent-Director shall be notified. An exception to this shall be the night school secretary, who will be required to cover hours designated by the night school director. Final day of employment for ten (10) month unit members will be the last Friday in June or the last student contact day, whichever is later. The first day of employment for (10) month unit members for the next school year will be the last Monday in August. Twelve (12) month permanent unit members as of June 30, 1980 who are reduced to a shorter work year (10 months or 44 weeks) shall continue to be treated as full time (12) month unit members.

Electronic Access Control (FOB) System: Each unit member shall be required to swipe their "fob" against the electronic access card reader located at main entry point to the school building upon entering and exiting the school building at all times. The reader records their time in the system. In order to prevent unauthorized individuals from access in the buildings, a unit member will immediately report any lost or stolen fob to their supervisor. A fob assigned to an individual shall be used solely by the individual it is assigned to. At the time of separation from service, the fob will be returned to the district.

1. The regular work assignment for a full time employee shall be at least twenty (20) hours per week for a driver who has a regular morning and afternoon run for the days when school is in session for students.
2. Seniority shall be based upon continuous employment as a bus driver in R.S.U. No, 67 from the most recent date of hire. When two or more employees have the same length of continuous service, the employee with the greater length of total service with R.S.U. No. 67 shall be deemed to have the greater length of service.
3. The seniority list shall identify all drivers by their most recent date of hire under one category.
4. The Superintendent shall annually post the seniority list in the bus garage, and a copy shall be provided to the Association. The Association must notify the Superintendent of any alleged discrepancies in the list no later than twenty (20) days after receipt of the list; otherwise, the list shall be deemed to be accurate.
5. It is mutually understood that this provision is used to identify hours and days for earning full benefits for each classification.
a. All school sponsored bus assignments will be offered only to full time Bus Drivers, where licensed Bus Drivers are required.
b. Day trips between regular runs shall be offered to full time Bus Drivers only and shall be paid no less than two (2) hours.
c. Late bus and four- year old program runs will be offered as a permanent run to a full time regular driver by seniority and will be a minimum of two (2) hours. When the senior driver on September 1, 2020 who is the recipient of both one late bus run and one four-year old program run determines she no longer wants both runs, the runs will be treated as two separate runs from that point forward. Each run will be offered as a permanent run to a full time regular driver by seniority. In the event that only one driver accepts a run, that driver may be awarded both runs.
B. The following criteria will apply to the assignment of additional trips:
1. The intent of assignments shall be to distribute trips in a continuous rotation starting with the employee who has the longest continuous service as bus driver in R.S.U. No.

E. Employees wishing to swap their days off in a given week may do so by mutual agreement of the employees involved with the consent of their supervisor. Any decision of the supervisor on a proposed shift swap under this section shall not be subject to the provisions of Article 29 of this Agreement”.
Work Week and Work Schedule. A. This Article defines the normal hours of work, and establishes the basis for the calculation of overtime. It is not, however, a guarantee of hours of work per day, work period, month or year. An employee’s scheduled work hours may be changed for bona fide economic or program changes to meet the needs of the Xxxxxxx School Department. To the extent possible and except for a temporary change, an employee shall be provided a two-week written notice.
