GUILD ACTIVITIES. A. Employees shall be granted use of City meeting space and release time from duty for a maximum of one (1) hour per month for Guild meetings. However, the Chief of Police may require an appropriate number of officers remain on patrol during the meeting at his discretion. On duty members must remain in ready status and respond to any calls for service. Time granted for such meetings shall not be cumulative. Negotiation meetings with City representatives without loss of pay, to the extent that such meetings are scheduled during the working hours of the members attending and the meetings do not affect the City's ability to respond to calls.

GUILD ACTIVITIES. 10.1. Employees are not permitted to engage in Guild activities while on duty except as provided for in this article. Employees shall be granted a maximum of one (1) hour per month to attend Guild meetings. If there is a conflict, LPOG and the City agree to discuss and agree on alternate options for the start time of LPOG meetings to minimize interference with department operations such as, but not limited to, scheduled training and/or special emphasis days. Employees who are on duty shall still respond to emergencies and calls for police service. No employee shall be paid or receive vacation time for such meetings. Time granted for such meetings shall not be accumulative.
GUILD ACTIVITIES. Section A: The Guild may use the Employer’s bulletin board for posting of notices that are signed by Guild officials.
GUILD ACTIVITIES. Employees shall have the right to form, join and participate in the activities of employee organizations for the purpose of representation on matters of employee relations. Employees shall also have the right to refuse to join or participate in the activities of an employee organization. No employees shall be with, intimidated, restrained, coerced or discriminated against by the City or by any employee organization because of his or her exercise of these rights.
GUILD ACTIVITIES. 1. The Employer shall allow reasonable time off with pay for Guild members conducting official business that is vitally connected with the Employer’s business; provided such time off shall be taken at the consent of the Sheriff or his designee or by the authority of the Board of County Commissioners and provided further that such consent shall not be unreasonably withheld.
GUILD ACTIVITIES. A. The Guild’s president or grievance committee chairman may briefly discuss grievances or potential grievances with Guild members on City time provided that they shall make arrangements to meet with the grievant on off-duty time to discuss the matters in detail. Official representatives of the Guild shall be given time off with pay to attend meetings with City representatives including but not limited to meetings concerning grievances. Guild representatives shall provide the City forty-eight (48) hours notice of the need to attend such meetings whenever reasonably possible. A maximum of three Guild representatives (no more than two from road patrol) shall be released with pay to attend bargaining negotiations with the City. The parties will work together to minimize the impact of negotiations on departmental operations, and the Guild will work with the City to ensure that no more than two officers must be hired back on overtime. The Police Chief or designee shall grant an employee who is also a Guild Representative reasonable release time on duty (with pay) for the purposes of handling grievances and other legitimate Guild business relating to the Guild’s function as a collective bargaining representative, provided that such release time does not unreasonably interfere with the work and duties of the employees or of the other on-duty employees. Normally such release time extends to one employee at a time. Activities, which are brief or intermittent in nature, do not require notice to the supervisor. The Police Chief or designee shall grant an employee who is also a Guild Representative reasonable release time on duty (with pay) for the purposes of attending Civil Service Meetings.
