Portability of Accrued Leave Entitlements. 79.4. The ATO will recognise the accrued annual leave and sick/personal leave (however described) entitlements of employees commencing in the ATO on movement from another APS Agency, the ACT Government or the Commonwealth Parliamentary Service. Apart from any special arrangements associated with Machinery of Government transfers, further accruals and/or grants of leave will be in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement.

Portability of Accrued Leave Entitlements. Where an employee moves (including on promotion or for an agreed period) from another agency where they were an ongoing APS employee, the employee’s unused accrued recreation leave and personal/carer’s leave (however described) will be transferred, provided there is no break in continuity of service. Where an employee is engaged immediately following a period of ongoing employment in the Parliamentary Service or the ACT Government Service, the employee’s unused accrued recreation leave and personal/carer’s leave (however described) will be recognised unless the employee received payment in lieu of those entitlements on termination of employment. Where a person is engaged as an ongoing employee, and immediately prior to the engagement the person was employed as a non-ongoing APS employee (whether in FSANZ or another agency) the Chief Executive Officer may, at the employee’s request, recognise any unused, accrued annual leave (excluding accrued leave paid out on termination of employment) and personal/carer’s leave (however described). RECREATION LEAVE Employees will progressively accrue 20 days (150 hours) recreation leave each year. Varying periods of part-time service will be calculated based on the actual hours the employee worked. All recreation leave credits, whether full-time or part-time, are pooled and expressed as a total number of hours of leave available. Employees may take recreation leave at half pay if they choose. Half pay leave is deducted from credits at half the duration. During recreation leave at half pay, personal leave, recreation leave and long service leave will accrue at the full pay rate. The timing for taking recreation leave will be subject to operational requirements and the approval of the relevant manager. Public holidays that occur during a period of recreation leave will not be deducted from the employee’s recreation leave credits. An employee who has accumulated more than 35 days recreation leave credits as at 30 June or 31 December in any year will be allowed a three month period in which to reduce their unused recreation leave credit to 35 days or less, or to develop an agreed plan to use the credits. If, after that three month period, the employee’s unused recreation leave credit exceeds 35 days, the Chief Executive Officer may direct the employee to take up to one quarter of the employee’s accrued recreation leave. Portability of Accrued Leave Entitlements. 8.5 Where an employee joins FaHCSIA on or after the date of commencement of this Agreement from an employer staffed under the Public Service Act 1999, the Parliamentary Service Act 1999 or from the ACT Government Service, accrued annual and personal leave (however described) will be transferred, provided there is no break in continuity of service. The provisions of the Financial Management and Accountability Orders 1997 apply to such transfer of accrued leave entitlements.

  • Annual Leave Entitlement 35.1.1 Annual leave is provided for in the NES. It does not apply to Casual Employees. Except for Casual Employees and Shift workers, Employees will be entitled to four (4) weeks (152 hours) of paid annual leave for each year of service with the Company.

  • Portability of Sick Leave 1. The employer will accept up to sixty (60) accumulated sick leave days from other school districts in British Columbia, for employees hired to or on exchange in the district.

  • Leave Entitlements (a) A sessional practitioner shall be entitled to pro rata leave entitlements in the same ratio as the number of sessions allocated bears to 10. If during any qualifying period the number of sessions allocated to a sessional practitioner varies, the number shall be averaged over the qualifying period.

  • Access to Other Leave Entitlements F19.20 An employee on grandparental leave may access annual leave, purchased leave or long service leave.

  • Leave Entitlement An eligible employee is entitled to take up to a total of twelve (12) 41 work weeks of FMLA leave in a 12-month period, to be measured backwards from the 42 commencement date the employee uses FMLA leave. An eligible employee taking leave 43 under Article 12.02(10)(b) shall be permitted to take up to 26 work weeks of leave in a 44 12-month period.

  • Sick Leave Entitlement A full-time employee shall earn sick leave credits at the rate of one and one-quarter (1¼) days for each month of service in which pay was received for at least ten (10) days. Sick leave shall accumulate to a maximum of two hundred and fifty (250) days. A part-time employee shall be entitled to sick leave credits on a pro rata basis. Where an employee is absent from work because of illness or injury the employee shall be entitled to claim sick leave at her regular rate of pay for a maximum period equivalent to her accumulated sick leave credit.

  • Portability of Service An employee hired by the Hospital with recent and related experience may claim consideration for such experience at the time of hiring on a form to be supplied by the Hospital. Any such claim shall be accompanied by verification of previous related experience. The Hospital shall then evaluate such experience during the probationary period following hiring. Where in the opinion of the Hospital such experience is determined to be relevant, the employee shall be slotted in that step of the wage progression consistent with one (1) year's service for every one (1) year of related experience in the classification upon completion of the employee's probationary period. It is understood and agreed that the foregoing shall not constitute a violation of the wage schedule under the collective agreement."

  • Maximum Leave Entitlement Leaves taken under Clauses 20.2, 20.3 and 20.11 shall not exceed a total of 70 hours per calendar year, unless additional special leave is approved by the Employer.
