RECOGNITION AND DUES DEDUCTION. Section 1. The City recognizes the Kettering Police Supervisors’ Association as the exclusive bargaining agent for the purpose of negotiating wages, hours, fringe benefits and other terms and conditions of employment for all sworn Sergeants and Lieutenants. The coverage of this contract shall be limited to the Command Officers included within the bargaining unit described above.
RECOGNITION AND DUES DEDUCTION. Section 3.1. The City recognizes the Union as the sole and exclusive representative of all bargaining unit employees (referred to as "all employees") as to all matters concerning their wages, hours, and terms and conditions of employment and as a spokesman for members in the bargaining unit requesting representation.
RECOGNITION AND DUES DEDUCTION. The Employer recognizes the Union as the sole and exclusive bargaining agent with respect to wages, fringe benefits, hours of work, working conditions and any other term or condition of employment as set forth in the certification issued by SERB in Case No. 99-REP-03-0064. There shall be no discrimination by the Employer or the Union against any employee on the basis of such employee's membership or nonmembership in the Union. Members of the bargaining unit shall hereinafter be referred to as Employees. In the event that a new position is created within the Fire Division, the City shall determine whether the new position will be included in or excluded from the bargaining units and shall so advise the Union. If there is any dispute as to the City's determination of bargaining unit status, the parties will meet to attempt to resolve their disagreement. If the parties agree on the determination, it shall be implemented as agreed by the City and the Union. If the parties still do not agree, the City shall implement its determination, subject to petition to SERB pursuant to Chapter 4117 of the ORC and the SERB rules and regulations. The Employer agrees to withhold the Union dues of all Union members from the available wages earned by such Union members each month, and to transmit the same to the Union as soon as practicable, but no later than ten (10) calendar days following the pay in which the dues were withheld. Employer shall act in compliance with applicable state and federal laws. The Employer will notify the Union of all new hires, within the bargaining unit, within ten (10) days after their having been accepted, furnishing the Union with the new employee's name and the position for which he or she was hired. If any employee does not have a check coming to him or the check is not large enough to satisfy the authorized deduction, no collection shall be made from the employee that month. The Union agrees to hold the Employer harmless against any claim instituted against it on account of the application of this section.
RECOGNITION AND DUES DEDUCTION. A. The Board of Education of the Beachwood City School District hereby recognizes the Beachwood Federation of Teachers, AFT, Local 1468 as the sole and exclusive negotiations representative of the certificated/licensed personnel employed by the Board of Education of the Beachwood City School District, which shall be defined as regular classroom and special education teachers, school counselors, school psychologists, librarians, nurses, speech and language pathologists, audiologists, and certificated/licensed preschool instructors and instructional tutors for the purposes of negotiating in good faith a professional salary schedule, a grievance procedure, and such other terms and conditions of employment of said employees as the parties may agree are proper subjects of negotiations. Excluded from this unit are substitute teachers, tutors other than instructional tutors, administrative personnel, employees in other bargaining units, teachers and other certificated staff assigned to nonpublic schools paid by state or federal funds, and all other confidential, supervisory and management level employees as defined in R.C. 4117.0l (C), (F), (J), (K) and (L) of the Ohio Revised Code. This recognition is subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the representation election submission agreement signed by the parties in October 1972 and later amended on December 10, 1987 and June 20, 2000. The recognition granted herein upon the Beachwood Federation of Teachers, AFT, Local 1468 as the sole and exclusive negotiations agent and representative as defined herein shall remain in force and effect for the term of this Agreement, subject to the provisions of Chapter 4117 of the Ohio Revised Code B. Check-Off a. The District will deduct any initiation fees and dues levied by the Union from the pay of members of the bargaining unit upon receipt from the Union of individual signed authorization cards executed by the member for that purpose and bearing the member’s signature. b. The District's obligation to make deductions shall terminate automatically upon receipt of revocation of authorization within the thirty (30) day period prior to the termination of this Contract or upon the termination of employment or transfer to a job classification outside the bargaining unit. c. All authorized deductions will be made from the member's pay on a regular semi monthly basis. All deductions shall be transmitted to the Union no later than the 15th day following the end of the month ...

The authorization shall be revocable by written notice to revoke such authorization given by the Employees to the Township as provided in (c) below.

While this Agreement is in the effect, the Township will deduct regular monthly Union dues and assessments from the wages of Employees who individually and voluntarily authorize and direct such deductions in writing. (a) Upon written authorization of the Member, the Employer agrees to deduct from each Employee’s bi-weekly wages the sum certified as Union dues, and deliver the sum to the Treasurer of Local 4394 not less than monthly. The Employer shall include with each remittance an itemized statement listing the Bargaining Unit Member by name, the period of time the deduction covers, and the amount of the Member’s contribution. (b) The Union shall determine the amount of any Dues, Fees, and / or Assessments; the Treasurer of Local 4394 will certify the Union Dues amount to be deducted to the Employer. The Union will provide the Employer with at least two (2) calendar weeks advance notice of pending increase or reduction in dues. (c) The Employer shall be relieved from making such individual dues deductions upon the Employee’s termination of employment, transfer to a position out of the bargaining unit, layoff from work, unpaid leave of absence, or written revocation of the dues deduction authorization by an Employee not earlier then ninety (90) days nor later than sixty (60) days prior to the expiration of the Agreement. Section 2. The Township recognizes the Union as the exclusive bargaining agent for the hours, wages, and terms and conditions of employment for all full-time, Fire Fighter / Paramedics and Lieutenants (hereinafter referred to as “Employees”), excluding Captains, Assistant Chiefs, Fire Chiefs, part-time employees, and all other Township employees. The terms of this Agreement cover and are limited to the Employees included within the Bargaining Unit for which the Union is recognized.

RECOGNITION AND DUES DEDUCTION. 1.1 The Board hereby recognizes the Union as the exclusive and sole bargaining representative for all classified employees and teaching assistants, with the exception of those employees in administrative, supervisory, and confidential categories and cafeteria staff. The Board agrees not to negotiate with any custodial, transportation or clerical organization other than the aforementioned Union for the duration of this Agreement. 1.2 The term "employee", when used hereinafter in this Agreement, shall refer to all employees represented by the Union in the bargaining unit defined above. 1.3 Recognition shall extend pursuant to the appropriate statutes of the State of New York. 1.4 The Union shall have the right to payroll deduction of dues and union sponsored insurance and benefit program premiums for employees covered by this agreement.
