Salary Schedule Implementation. 2.1 The annual salaries set forth in this Agreement shall be paid in ten (10) or twelve (12) installments, payable on the last working day of the month with appropriate deductions as mutually agreed between the District and Association.
2.2 Unit members selecting payment of wages in twelve (12) paychecks, will receive the first of 12 paychecks on the last working day of August and the 11th and 12th paychecks the last working day of June.
2.3 Mandatory deductions from gross earnings are those required by law, provisions of this Agreement, including Federal and State Income Tax and State Teachers Retirement System.
2.4 Unit Members may earn units to move columns on the salary schedule. These units must be preapproved by the Superintendent. Only graduate level courses will be accepted. All unit members with a valid California Teaching Credential will be granted a minimum of 30 units for purposes of initial placement on the salary schedule.
2.4.1 Courses must be completed by the first day of school to count towards salary advancement.
2.4.2 Unit Members must inform the Personnel Office by August 1 of classes completed or to be completed to ensure proper placement on the salary schedule.
2.4.3 Unit Members must submit transcripts verifying courses completed by October 1.
2.4.4 Unit Members will be responsible for repaying the difference of salary if the units are not confirmed by October 1.
2.5 All unit members shall advance one (1) vertical step on the salary schedule for each year of service, except those whose placement is at the maximum step for their class. A year of service is defined as 75% of the regularly scheduled work year. This shall not supersede Article XXIII Shared Contracts, specifically section 4.8.
2.6 The parties agree that section 2.5 is properly interpreted to mean that whenever employees who have not been able to advance vertical steps on the salary schedule due to being at the maximum step for their column, earn additional credits in order to move over to the next column, they shall at that time be placed at the proper step based upon their years of service. In other words, if an employee remains on step 7 of column D for two years, if/when they acquire the credits necessary to move to column E, they shall be placed at E, Step 9.
Salary Schedule Implementation. 13.2.1 An employee may elect to have his/her annual salary received in 11 payments or participate in the Summer Fund Program to receive 12 payments. The Summer Fund Program will generate one (1) additional check with their June payment, after the first year of work has been completed. The Summer Fund Program is offered as long as the payroll system can accommodate this option. Monthly earnings are to be received on the last day of the month.
A. Mandatory Deductions are required by law.
B. Optional deductions are those voluntary deductions selected by the employee.
C. Salary payments will be disbursed as designated by law and payroll deadlines.

Salary Schedule Implementation. 6.5.1 Probationary and permanent bargaining unit members may select eleven (11) or twelve (12) equal salary payments by August 15 of each year. Once bargaining unit members select an option they will remain with the method selected for a period of at least one (1) year. Newly employed bargaining unit members shall make this selection at the time of employment.
6.5.2 The annual salaries set forth in this Agreement shall be paid in eleven or twelve (11 or 12) equal installments, payable on the last working day of each month with appropriate deductions.
Salary Schedule Implementation. 16.2.1 Unit members whose employment is less than the number of workdays set forth in this Agreement shall receive the salary of their class and step on the salary schedule, prorated to the amount of their employment. Notwithstanding the above, unit members who serve for one (1) full semester shall receive not less than one-half (1/2) the annual salary applicable to their class and step.
16.2.2 Unit members covered by the salary schedule include those identified in the Recognition Article of this Agreement.
16.2.3 The annual salaries set forth in this Agreement shall be paid in twelve (12) installments. Monthly salaries are payable on the last day of each month with appropriate deductions.
16.2.3.1 Salary payments for services in addition to the unit member's regular assignment shall be made not later than the tenth (10th) day of the month following the payroll period in which the service was performed.
16.2.3.2 Mandatory deductions from gross earnings are those required by law, provisions of this Agreement, and include Federal and State Income Tax and State Teachers Retirement System (STRS).
16.2.3.3 Optional deductions are those deductions the unit member may elect to have taken from his/her gross earnings. Optional deductions must be initiated in writing by the unit member. Such authorizations shall remain in effect continuously until the district receives from the unit member a written notice withdrawing the authorization for a particular deduction.

4. Optional deductions are those deductions that the District and Association have mutually agreed upon, which the unit member may elect to have taken from her/his gross earnings. Optional deductions must be initiated in writing by the unit member. Such authorizations shall remain in effect continuously until the District receives from the unit member a written notice withdrawing the authorization for a particular deduction.
5. Credit for service outside the District shall be allowed on the salary schedule at the rate of one (1) increment (step) for each year of service with a maximum of five (5) years and placement on step 6. Private school experience for step increment on the salary schedule shall be accepted, providing the private school was state accredited and the unit member in question held a valid credential at the time of the teaching experience. Earned degrees received and units of study, pre-approved by the Superintendent, in an accredited institution of higher learning shall be allowed for initial placement and subsequent horizontal movement on the salary schedule. Units of study for professional growth shall also be counted for horizontal movement on the salary schedule if pre-approved by the Superintendent.
6. Courses that are deemed by a college or university to be applicable to a graduate degree and that were completed prior to completion of and were not included in the attainment of the Bachelor’s Degree, shall be considered for salary placement as though they had been completed subsequent to the granting of the Bachelor’s Degree. Such conditions must be verified through official transcripts or other suitable proof.
7. Unit members who resign from the District and are subsequently re-employed within 39 months shall be granted full experience credit.

Salary Schedule Implementation. 4 1. See Appendix A (Salary Schedule) and Appendix B (Stipend Schedule). The stipend fund will 5 be adjusted to cover the increase to the Stipend Salary Schedule.
6 2. Effective July 1, 2017, unit members’ salary schedules (Appendix A) shall increase two percent (2%). In addition to the two percent (2%) on-schedule increase, effective July 1, 2017, a two 7 percent (2%) off-schedule bonus shall be paid for the 2017-18 school year.
8 3. Unit members will be compensated at ninety percent (90%) of their individual daily rate of pay for each staff development day they attend. Payment will be made for compete days (the seven 9 [7] hours may be divided into separate days; i.e., 3 days x 2.33 hours = 7 hours) and will be made 10 in the next payroll cycle following the completion of each seven (7) hours of staff development.

The annual salaries set forth in this Agreement shall be paid in twelve (12) installments, payable on the last working day of each month with appropriate deductions as mutually agreed between 12 the District and Association. Unit members may pick up July paycheck at District Office on the date designated by the District, or request the District to mail paycheck by providing a self- 13 addressed envelope.
14 5. Effective March, 1997, salary payments for services in addition to the unit member’s regular 15 assignment shall be made not later than the tenth (10th) day of the month following the payroll period in which the service was performed.
Salary Schedule Implementation. A. Payment The annual salaries set forth in this Agreement shall be paid in twelve (12) installments, beginning in July, and shall be issued on the last business day of each month. Unit members who are initially employed after that month’s payroll deadline shall be paid on the last business day of the month following the first month of employment. Paychecks are sent electronically to the unit member’s bank/credit union, pursuant to arrangements which the unit member makes with the payroll office. The District shall make appropriate deductions as mutually agreed between the District and Association, or as requested by the unit member.
B. Initial Placement Certificated employees are placed on the salary schedule on the basis of uniform allowance of years of experience and units of training. New hires may receive up to seven (7) years of credit for prior teaching experience, or related experience for new hires in non-classroom teaching positions.
Salary Schedule Implementation a. Twelve (12) month employees who start employment before January 1st and who have been reappointed shall be considered to have one year experience for salary purposes. Less than 12- month employees must work 1/2 of the duty days in their position plus one (1) day excluding summer school service in order to be eligible to receive a step increase.
Salary Schedule Implementation. 21.2.1 The annual salaries set forth in this Agreement shall be paid in ten (10) or twelve (12) installments, payable on the last working day of each month (except December, which shall be paid on first working day in January) with appropriate deductions.
21.2.1.1 Optional deductions are those deductions, that the XXX and Association have mutually agreed upon, which the unit member may elect to have taken from her/his gross earnings. Optional deductions must be initiated in writing by the unit member. Such authorizations shall remain in effect continuously until the XXX receives from the unit member a written notice withdrawing the authorization for a particular deduction.
