Teachers' Salaries. A. The salaries of all teachers covered by this Agreement are set forth in schedules (i.e. Schedule A), which are attached hereto and made a part hereof. 1. Teachers employed on a ten (10) month basis shall be paid in equal installments on dates to be determined through negotiation between the M.E.A. and a Board representative. 2. When a payday falls on or during a school holiday, vacation or weekend, teachers shall receive their paychecks on the last previous working day. 3. Teachers shall receive their final checks when they have been checked out by the building principal and/or appropriate supervisor and have fulfilled their required obligations to the School District. B. In September, employees will be paid on the first Friday school is in session, if possible. All other paychecks will be distributed, as in the past, twice a month. C. Child Study Team and Guidance Counselors will be paid at their per diem rate for any summer work. In addition, any teacher who attends an IEP meeting in the summer will be paid at his/her per diem rate, pro-rated.

Teachers' Salaries. The salaries of teachers covered by this Agreement are set forth in Schedule A which is attached to and incorporated in this Agreement. Such salary schedule shall remain in effect for the term of this contract. Non-Degree Teachers employed by the school system, and whose salary exceeds that prescribed above will remain at the salary they are currently receiving until they have qualified for an increase. When a non-degree teacher completes degree and certification requirements, the salary remains at the same level for the duration of the current contract. Any teacher completing degree and certification requirements shall, at the beginning of the succeeding year, commence at the step level next higher than the base salary earned by said teacher during the preceding year.
Teachers' Salaries. A. All teachers will be paid in accordance with the provision of a uniform single salary schedule adopted by the Board. For the 2021-2022 contract year, each teacher will be paid in accordance with the minimum salary schedule as set forth in H.B. 1023XX. Each teacher who qualifies will receive the appropriate step and/or lane increase based on their years of experience and degree and college hours. Each full-time certified staff member with more than 33 years of qualified teaching experience shall receive a one-time longevity stipend of $442.00 for the 2021-2022 contract year. B. Pay checks will be issued on or before the twenty-fifth (25th) day of each month beginning in September. Each teacher will receive an itemized breakdown of his/her contract.

Perfect Attendance Employees with perfect attendance September 1 thru January 31 (no sick days and no personal days with exception of Religious observance or bereavement of immediate family or relative of the second degree as defined in Policy 4151.7) will receive a payment of $250.00 Employees with perfect attendance February 1 thru June 30 (no sick days and no personal days with exception of Religious observance or bereavement of immediate family or relative of the second degree as defined in Policy 4151.7) will receive a payment of $250. Such salary schedule shall remain in effect for the term of this contract. 5.1.1 Salaries shall be paid in twenty-six (26) or twenty-seven (27) equal payments every other Friday. Bargaining unit members electing to choose a twenty-one (21) payment option must do so in writing to the administrative office at least seven (7) days prior to the initial payroll period in the teacher work year. Such option will remain in effect during the contractual year. 5.1.2 Upon appropriate written authorization from the teacher, the Board shall deduct from the salary of any teacher and make appropriate remittance for any MEA Financial Services Programs, MESSA programs not fully employer-paid and other Board-approved plans or programs. 5.1.3 The District shall implement and maintain a method of compensation for its teachers that includes job performance and job accomplishments as a significant factor in determining compensation. The assessment of job performance shall incorporate a rigorous, transparent and fair evaluation system that evaluates a teacher’s performance at least in part based upon data on student growth as measured by assessments and other objective criteria. Additionally, and in accordance with Board Policy 3220.01, teachers may receive additional compensation for achieving either Highly Effective or Effective status based on their year-end evaluation.
