UNION TRAINING SESSIONS. Section 1. An employee who is an official or representative of the Union will be excused without charge to leave in conjunction with attendance at a training session sponsored by the Union, provided the subject matter of such training is of mutual concern to the Employer and the interest of the Union and the Employer will be served by the employee's attendance. Section 2. The Employer agrees that three (3) Union Representatives will be granted an additional twenty-four (24) hours of official time each calendar year, to include travel, to attend functions, such as training provided at Union conventions and other labor management relations seminars.

UNION TRAINING SESSIONS. Section 1. Recognized officers and stewards of the Union will be excused without charge to leave in conjunction with attendance at training or briefings on subjects within the scope of the Statute. Section 2. Subject to mission needs, excused absences will be authorized training sessions or briefings not to exceed sixteen (16) hours per calendar year for each xxxxxxx and forty (40) hours per calendar year for each officer and chief xxxxxxx. Section 3. The Union will submit in writing to the XXXX for coordination with each Commander or Director under whose command the representative(s) fall, at least ten (10) work days in advance, any request for administrative leave. The request will include the following information: Name(s) of representative(s); date; time; place of training or orientation sessions; and topics to be covered. Section 4. The Commander or Director or Designee will render a written decision within five (5) work days of the request. After completion of the training, the Union will provide the Commander or Director a listing of employees who actually attended the training, and the number of hours of administrative leave used by each. Section 5. The Union will be permitted to use available Employer-owned projectors and training aids when conducting Union sponsored training sessions.
UNION TRAINING SESSIONS. Subject to the HOTEL's approval, and the Hotel's operational requirements and business conditions, shop stewards may be permitted time off from work without pay, and without loss of seniority, in order to attend UNION sponsored training sessions. The UNION shall notify the HOTEL at least fourteen (14) calendar days in advance of any such matter in which the UNION requires the attendance of the Shop Xxxxxxx. The amount of time-off under this Section shall not exceed five (5) workdays per occurrence, and in no event shall the time off by a Shop Xxxxxxx exceed ten (10) workdays per calendar year.

Workload permitting, Union officials may be granted reasonable amounts of official time, up to 40 Hours per year, to attend NAIL-sponsored training or other courses related to representational duties that are available at no cost to the Government, either for tuition or for travel and per diem. Section 2. Requests for such official time will include a copy of the training agenda in order to enable management to determine those portions for which official time will be authorized. The Union will forward the agenda to management at least two (2) weeks in advance of the training to review and approve the appropriate amount of official time based on the content of the agenda items. Representatives must request approval from the Deputy Commander or designee, for use of official time. Section 3. The union will be permitted to use available Employer-owned projectors and training aids when conducting Union-sponsored training sessions, provided the training will be held on the Employer’s premises. Section 4. Union sponsored training for unit employees will occur during non-duty time.

Official time for this purpose will cover only such portions of a training session as meet the foregoing criteria. Request for such official time will be addressed to the Civilian Personnel Officer through the employee’s supervisor and shall have attached a written agenda of the training. If such agenda is not available, the letter of request must contain sufficient information so that the Civilian Personnel Officer may identify portions of the training which will be of mutual benefit to the Employer and the Union. Section 2. The Employer agrees that officers of the Union - President, Executive Vice President, and 1st Vice President will each be granted an additional forty (40) hours of official time every two (2) years to include travel, to attend functions that cover Employee-Employer relations, such as conventions and seminars which meet the criteria of Section 1 above. Section 3. The Union will have a block of eighty (80) hours of official time per year to utilize for Union representatives to attend labor relations training conducted by outside organizations (e.g., Federal Sector Labor Relations and Labor Law Program, U.S. Merit Systems Protection Board, Gateway Chapter Industrial Relations Research Association, etc.). Section 4. If otherwise in a duty status, an officer or xxxxxxx may be granted official time to attend seminars conducted by the Employer or other groups such as the Federally Employed Women, Inc.; when such seminars are determined by the Employer to be of mutual benefit. Requests for such official time shall be made in writing in advance, not less than thirty (30) calendar days or as soon as feasible after the announcement of the seminar. The written request must be submitted to Section 5. Union representatives may have a one-time training session of four (4) hours per authorized Union representative for the purpose of CBA orientation. Section 6. Union representatives may be permitted to enroll in online courses or other correspondence courses that pertain solely to labor management relations where these courses would be of mutual benefit to the parties.   • UNION TRAINING LEAVE 46.1 An Employee elected as Union Delegate shall, upon application in writing to the Employer, be granted up to five days paid leave each calendar year to attend relevant Union Delegate courses. Such courses shall be designed and structured with the objective of promoting good industrial relations within the building and construction industry. 46.2 Consultation may take place between the parties in the furtherance of this objective. 46.3 The application for leave shall be given to the Employer in advance of the date of commencement of the course. The application for leave shall contain the following details: (a) The name of the Union Delegate seeking the leave (b) The period of time for which the leave is sought (including course dates and the daily commencing and finishing times); and (c) A general description of the content and structure of the course and the location where the course is to be conducted. 46.4 The Employer shall advise the Union Delegate within seven clear working days (Monday to Friday) of receiving the application as to whether or not the application for leave has been approved. 46.5 The time of taking leave shall be arranged to minimise any adverse effect on the Employer's operations. The onus shall rest with the Employer to demonstrate an inability to grant leave when an eligible Union Delegate is otherwise entitled. 46.6 The Employer shall not be liable for any additional expenses associated with an Employee's attendance at a course other than the payment of ordinary time earnings for such absence. For the purpose of this clause ordinary time earnings shall be defined as the relevant agreement classification rate including, shift work loadings where relevant plus Site Allowance where applicable. 46.7 Leave rights granted in accordance with this clause will not result in additional payment for alternative time off to the extent that the course attended coincides with a Union Delegate's RDO or with any concessional leave. 46.8 A Union Delegate on request by the Employer shall provide proof of their attendance at any course within 7 days. If an Employee fails to provide such proof, the Employer may deduct any amount already paid for attendance from the next week's pay or from any other moneys due to the Union Delegate.

  • Trade Union Training Leave Subject to all qualifications in this clause, an employee appointed or elected as an accredited representative of the union to which he/she belongs will, upon application in writing to the Enterprise, be granted up to 5 days leave with pay each calendar year non-cumulative to attend courses conducted or approved by the Union.

  • Training Services Training Services may include pre-packaged training Products, and/or the development or customization of training programs as requested, including Live Training, Computer Based/Multi-Media Training which encompasses Internet-Delivered Training, and/or Video Based Training.

  • First Aid Training In the interests of the occupational safety and health of employees, the Employer will undertake an in-service program of first aid training aimed at providing a first aid officer for each department.

  • Designated Configuration; Trained Personnel State Street and the Fund shall be responsible for supplying, installing and maintaining the Designated Configuration at the Designated Locations. State Street and the Fund agree that each will engage or retain the services of trained personnel to enable both parties to perform their respective obligations under this Addendum. State Street agrees to use commercially reasonable efforts to maintain the System so that it remains serviceable, provided, however, that State Street does not guarantee or assure uninterrupted remote access use of the System.

  • Dining Services The Contract is for a space in a University Housing & Dining Services (“UHDS”) facility and not for a particular room or type of housing. By signing this Contract, you agree to accept your residence assignment, and understand this assignment may change. Once you receive a key to your assigned residence or move personal belongings into your room (whichever comes first) you are considered to have taken occupancy (“Occupancy”) and will incur charges.   • Staff Training 3.3.5.1 The CONTRACTOR shall provide regular and ongoing comprehensive training for CONTRACTOR staff to ensure that they understand the goals of Centennial Care 2.0, including the integration of physical, Long-Term Care and Behavioral Health, the provisions and limitations of the ABP and the requirements of this Agreement. As issues are identified by the CONTRACTOR and/or HSD, the CONTRACTOR shall provide timely and targeted training to staff. 3.3.5.2 The CONTRACTOR shall provide an initial orientation and training as well as ongoing training, including training targeted to different types of staff, to ensure compliance with this Agreement. Including targeted training regarding: 3.3.5.2.1 Care Coordination; 3.3.5.2.2 Nursing Facility Level of Care Determinations; 3.3.5.2.3 Setting of Care Submissions; 3.3.5.2.4 Community Benefit Services and Supplemental Questionnaire; and

  • Safety Training Pursuant to Missouri Revised Statute Section 292.675, Contractors and subcontractors who sign a contract to work on public works projects must provide a 10-hour OSHA construction safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, to be completed by their on-site employees within sixty (60) days of beginning work on the construction project. Contractors and subcontractors in violation of this provision will forfeit to the public body $2,500 plus $100 a day for each employee who is employed without training. Public bodies and contractors may withhold/assess these penalties from the payment due to those contractors and subcontractors if found to be in non-compliance.
