WORK WEEK AND OVERTIME PAY. A. The regular school work week shall be Monday through Friday, forty (40) hours, except as otherwise provided in this Master Agreement. Each employee working more than five (5) hours in a day shall be entitled to an uninterrupted one-half (1/2) hour unpaid lunch effective with new hires of 7/1/03. B. 1. Time and one-half (1 1/2) shall be paid for all time over forty (40) hours in any one (1) work week.
WORK WEEK AND OVERTIME PAY. A. Overtime at the rate of one and one-half (1.5x) times the regular hourly rate of pay will be paid for all hours worked over forty (40) hours during the work week. Overtime worked on Saturdays shall be paid at one and one-half (1.5x) times the regular hourly rate and overtime worked on Sundays or Holidays shall be paid at two (2x) times the regular hourly rate. The hourly rate to be paid for hours worked on Saturdays shall be one and one-half times (1.5x) the regular hourly rate of pay for the employee and Sundays and Holidays shall be two times (2x) the regular hourly rate of pay for the employee unless the employee had a vacation day, deduct day, or personal leave day during said 40-hour work week. B. When lunchroom personnel are employed to help with banquets, they shall be paid at the rate of one and one-half times (1.5x) the regular hourly rate Monday - Saturday. When work is performed on a Sunday or a holiday, the rate of two (2x) times the regular hourly rate shall be paid for the hours worked. C. Custodial or maintenance/custodial overtime shall be offered to custodians qualified to do the overtime work and shall be scheduled on a rotation seniority list basis. The event list will be posted by Monday of each week. If an event is not covered by employee sign up, the overtime will be assigned in rotational order of reverse seniority from a separate list. If available, a sub may be contacted before requiring an employee to work overtime. D. When custodians and/or cooks are needed to work at an event sponsored by a non-school group, they are to be paid from the time they begin work for the event until they are able to leave, not from the time the event starts and ends. E. When custodians are needed to work on a Sunday or Holiday, they are to be paid two times (2x) their regular hourly rate for the hours worked. F. Employees substituting in the same department will receive their regular rate of pay for hours worked. G. All employees will receive regular hourly rate of pay for all time spent in attendance at any mandatory meeting. H. All classified employees will receive a minimum of two (2) hours pay at their regular hourly rate when they are requested, and report to work, by their immediate supervisor at other than their normal working hours when responding to an alarm call,...

WORK WEEK AND OVERTIME PAY. 7.01 The regular work week shall be as follows: The regular work week shall be five (5) consecutive work days, Monday through Friday, for eight (8) hours. All other Saturday and Sunday work at all Lakeview School buildings and modular units shall be offered to the current custodians prior to the calling of any substitutes. The hours of work shall be consecutive and shall include one half (1/2) hour paid lunch period for eight (8) hour employees. Employees working eight hours per day shall have one fifteen (15) minute break within their work day. The time of the break will be set by the supervisor or principal and the employees; and time clocks may be required for the fifteen (15) minute break or the thirty (30) minute lunch period. 7.02 The normal hours of work per week and days per year in each school year shall be set by the supervisor or administrator in accordance with the established school day. No change in an employee's work week or work day will be made without prior consultation with the Association president or designee.

WORK WEEK AND OVERTIME PAY. (a) The work week, for the purpose of compensation and premium pay, shall commence at 12:01 a.m. Monday and shall end at 12:00 midnight on the following Sunday. (b) The normal work week shall consist of five (5), eight (8) hour days, Monday to Friday inclusive, except for employees assigned to a staggered work week, in which case the normal work week shall consist of any five (5), eight (8) hour days, or four (4), ten (10) hour days, during the said work week established in the preceding paragraph. (c) Employees who have completed thirty (30) years of service with the Company, (Distribution Operations Department) except for Responders, shall normally be assigned work on the first shift only. Temporary exceptions may be made in the event of emergency work. Employees with thirty (30) years of service may elect to remain on the shift schedule on a year to year basis. This shall not apply in the Northwest until the level of personnel assigned to shift work makes it practical.

  • HOURS OF WORK AND OVERTIME 16.01 The normal work week is thirty-seven point five (37.5) hours over five (5) days. Employees shall be entitled to a one half (0.5)) hour unpaid lunch period taken at a time directed by the Employer. Where the work day exceeds nine (9) hours, there shall be a second thirty (30) minute unpaid lunch break taken at a time directed by the Employer. In the event that patient care programs (e.g. flu shot clinic, patient education sessions) are scheduled and require an Employee to work hours other than those listed above, such employee shall be given a minimum of two weeks’ notice prior to the change in shift. It is understood and agreed that the provisions of this Article are intended only to provide a basis for calculating time worked and shall not be considered a guarantee as to the hours of work per day or the days of work per week. Should the Employer wish to make a change to the current schedule, a meeting shall occur with the Union to discuss the implementation of such schedule. 16.02 Authorized hours worked in excess of forty-four hours per week (Sunday to Saturday) shall be paid at the rate of one and one-half (1.5) times the Nurse’s regular hourly rate of pay. The Employee may elect time off in lieu at the rate of time and one-half (1½) her regular rate of pay. The time off will be taken at a time which is mutually convenient to the individual and the Employer. 16.03 Schedules will be posted monthly. 16.04 An Employee who is called in and required to work outside his/her normal scheduled hours, other than those hours immediately prior to or after normal starting or quitting time, shall receive a minimum of four (4) hours pay at straight time or payment for the actual hours worked. It is agreed that there shall be no pyramiding of overtime or any premiums provided for in this agreement.

  • HOURS AND OVERTIME A. Workweek The workweek shall consist of no more than five (5) consecutive days of eight (8) hours/day. This Article shall not restrict the extension of the regular workday or workweek on an overtime basis when such is necessary to carry on the business of the District. The District may establish a ten (10) hour/day, four (4) day work week for all or certain classes of its employees or for employees within a class if the District and the affected employees mutually agree to such a calendar. The President of CSEA Ceres #140 will be notified prior to implementing such a change. B. Work Year All employees will be required to complete a Positive Work Year Calendar for the following year. Notwithstanding any other provisions in this agreement, the work year for school site based ten (10) month employees may be assigned to begin up to fifteen (15) workdays earlier than the first student instructional day. C. Workday An employee with prior approval by his/her supervisor or a supervisor with the approval of the employee may modify the employee’s workday to accommodate a short-term (maximum thirty (30) calendar days) special need, but in no case will the number of hours worked that day be less than assigned. If an agreement cannot be reached, an employee’s supervisor may modify an employee’s workday to accommodate a short-term (maximum thirty (30) calendar days) special need, but in no case will the number of hours worked that day be less than assigned. The employee shall receive no less than a 3 work day prior written notice of the workday change. On an annual basis, a supervisor may modify an employee’s workday (starting and ending times) by no more than 30 minutes without the employee’s permission upon receiving the prior approval of an Assistant Superintendent. The employee shall receive written notice at least thirty (30) calendar days prior to this change taking place. CSEA will be consulted. D. Lunch Periods All employees covered by this Agreement shall be entitled to an uninterrupted lunch period after the employee has been on duty for four (4) hours. The length of time for such lunch shall be for a period of no longer than one hour nor less than one-half (1/2) hour and shall be scheduled for full-time employees at or about the midpoint of each work shift. This also applies to overtime assignments of four hours or more.

  • Overtime Pay ‌ Overtime pay shall be paid to the employee on the next paycheque after the expiration of the pay period in which the overtime was earned except as provided in Article 16.6 (Compensating Time Off) below.

  • Normal Work Week The normal work week shall be thirty-seven and one-half (37 1/2) hours, and the normal daily hours of work shall be seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours, exclusive of a meal period. The normal work week shall be Monday through Friday and the normal workday shall be scheduled between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

  • Work Week and Work Day (a) (Applicable to full-time employees only) The normal or standard work week shall be an average of thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours, with a normal or standard work day of seven and one-half (7½) hours except in those Hospitals where agreements already provide a standard or normal work week of less than thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours per week and seven and one-half (7½) hours per day. (Those Hospitals with the lesser required hours shall reflect in the salary rates a pro-rata lesser amount compared with salaries for other Hospitals based on the ratio that the standard or normal hours of work at the Hospital concerned are to thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours and shall appropriately reflect such hours in this Article). The length of time over which the hours of work per week are to be averaged shall be determined locally and shall be set out in the Local Provisions Appendix. (b) (applicable to part-time employees only) The normal or standard work day shall be seven and one-half (7½) hours per day and the normal or standard full- time work week shall be an average of thirty-seven and one- half (37½) hours per week except in those hospitals where agreements already provide a normal or standard work day of less than seven and one-half hours and a normal or standard full-time work week of less than thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours. (Those Hospitals with the lesser required hours shall reflect in the salary rates a pro-rata lesser amount compared with salaries for other Hospitals based on the ratio that the standard or normal hours work at the Hospital concerned are to thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours and shall appropriately reflect such hours in this article.) Part-time employees shall be entitled to overtime pay at the rate of time and one-half their regular straight time hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of the normal or standard work day or in excess of the normal or standard full-time work week. The length of time over which the hours of work per week are to be averaged shall be determined locally and shall be set out in the Local Provisions Appendix. (c) Where the Hospital and the Union agree, subject to the approval of the Ministry of Labour, other arrangements regarding hours of work may be entered into between parties on a local level with respect to tours beyond the normal or standard work day in accordance with the provisions set out in Article 25.01 of the collective agreement.

  • Overtime Work A. Overtime pay is to be paid at the rate of one and one- half (1½) times the basic hourly straight-time rate. B. Overtime shall be paid to employees for work performed only after eight (8) hours on duty in any one (1) service day or forty (40) hours in any one (1) service week. Nothing in this Section shall be construed by the parties or any reviewing authority to deny the payment of overtime to employees for time worked outside of their regularly scheduled work week at the request of the Employer.   • HOURS OF WORK & OVERTIME Section 15.1 This Article is intended to define the normal hours of work per day or per week in effect at the time of execution of this Agreement. Nothing contained herein shall be construed as preventing the Employer from restructuring the normal workday or workweek as necessary to promote efficiency or improve services, or from establishing the work schedules of employees. However, nothing in this Section shall relieve the Employer of its duty to bargain the affects of such decisions on employee wages, hours, terms and other conditions of employment. This Article shall be used as the basis for computing overtime for employees who are not exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and shall not be construed as a guarantee of hours of work per day or per week. Section 15.2 Employees may take one paid fifteen (15) minute break for every four (4) hour block worked. Employees may combine breaks to take up to one (1) sixty (60) minute paid break. Employees may not leave campus on their paid breaks. Section 15.3 Bargaining unit employees who are not exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act will be paid one and one-half times their normal hourly rate for all hours actually worked in excess of forty (40) hours per work week. All overtime shall have prior supervisory approval, except when it is necessary for a nurse to remain on duty to protect patient safety. Only hours actually worked are counted for the purpose of computing an employee's eligibility for overtime pay. There shall be no pyramiding of hours or pay. Section 15.4 The Board serves individuals 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. To meet this need for service to our individuals evening and weekend hours may be required of any bargaining unit employee. The Employer will establish the standard work day as beginning at 6:00 a.m. and ending at 5:59 a.m. and starting and ending times for each shift in each department. Supervisors will establish daily workschedules. Section 15.5 Absent an emergency situation, management will notify the Union in the event management intends to institute a long-term change in the present shift times for nurses. Following notification and upon request by the Union, management will meet with the Union to discuss the reason for the change and possible alternatives.

  • Work Week The work week will begin at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday and end at 11:59 p.m. the following Saturday.
