University Benefits. The University will provide the following benefits to Resident/Fellow and to family members as indicated in the referenced GME Manual policy.
University Benefits. A. For the purpose of this Article only, the term "employee" means regular and probationary employees.
B. Employees are eligible to participate in a number of benefit programs generally available to other non-represented staff employees. "Staff employees" means those employees who are not managers, supervisors, confidential, or academic employees of the University. The Union understands and agrees that the University may at its option during the term of this Agreement choose to alter the coverage, rate of employee or University contribution or carrier of these plans as they apply to all University staff employees and that, if the University does so, such changes will apply to employees covered under this Agreement. The University will notify the Union of any changes in benefit coverage during the term of this Agreement. Some of the benefit plans are listed below. C. Prior to the open enrollment period, the University agrees to notify the Union of changes in benefit coverages and costs, if any. The notice will be posted at each of the three Printing Services locations. Further, the University agrees to meet with the Union, once each year, upon request, to discuss University benefit coverage.
D. Employees are eligible to continue participation in University benefit plans while on an approved leave without pay or layoff for up to three (3) months or as set forth in University group insurance regulations by paying their contributions directly to the University.
University Benefits. A. HEALTH AND WELFARE GENERAL CONDITIONS – Part I
1. The University’s health and welfare plans provide an annual open enrollment period during which eligible employees may elect to change plan or coverage options. Open enrollment provides an opportunity for employees to choose among plans due to changes in circumstances of the employees, changes in the coverage and costs of each plan, and changes in plan availability, which may change from year to year.
a. The University may, at its option, alter its health and welfare programs, including the retiree health benefit program. Such alterations include, but are not limited to altering eligibility criteria, establishing new coverage, altering or deleting current coverage, change the carrier for established plans or programs, changing the administrator of such plan, or altering employee and University monthly rates of contribution. However, the University will notice the union and, upon request, meet to discuss the alterations the Union was advised of. In no event shall these discussions delay implementation of the University’s objectives. In the event the University makes such alterations, the changes will apply to employees eligible for benefits within the unit in the same manner as they apply to other eligible staff employees at the same campus or non-represented employees at LBNL.
b. The sole exceptions to the University’s ability to make changes without negotiations pursuant to §A.1.a., shall be:
1) any alterations proposed by the University which affect only bargaining unit employees.
2) changes to the monthly contributions, contained in Appendix F, to be paid in calendar years 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 by employees in the bargaining unit depending upon the medical plan they have selected, their coverage and their applicable pay band;
3) for Calendar Years 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022: employee premium increases for Kaiser and Health Net Blue and Gold that exceed $25/month for each coverage category, using the prior year’s employee monthly premium as the benchmark for determining the $25 threshold; and In such case(s), the University agrees to meet and confer with respect to the proposed change.
c. When any one of the exceptions outlined in §A.1.b. above are met, the University agrees to meet and confer with respect to the proposed change(s) only, provided UPTE serves upon the Office of the President, director of Labor Relations, written notice of its intent to negotiate over the identified exception(s) in §A...
University Benefits. Assuming the conditions set forth in this agreement are met, the Fraternal Organization is eligible to access the services and resources in the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life. The Fraternal Organization has access to certain privileges to include operating, meeting, advertising, and participating in activities at Clemson University. Activities could include Homecoming, First Friday Parade, formal recruitment, rush, intake, etc. Application for on-campus residential space is a further benefit of this agreement. Additionally, compliant fraternal organizations are eligible for reduced rates in reservable University spaces. These privileges are subject to the policies and procedures or terms and conditions the University sets for such facilities, services, and resources. Members of the Fraternal Organization must pay the Fraternity and Sorority Life Fee to cover staffing and programming services each semester of their membership. This Fee is reflected on each member’s tuition bill. More information about the fee can be found at xxxx://xxx.xxxxxxx.xxx/campus-life/fraternity-sorority-life/fsl-fee.html. If the Fraternal Organization is hosting an event on University property with minors under the age of 18 who are not University students, the Fraternal Organization may be required to obtain liability insurance. In addition, if the Fraternal Organization is hosting an event that University staff determines has potential risk of injury to participants and/or guests, the University reserves the right to require liability insurance if the event is taking place on University property. If liability insurance is required, the user and any co-sponsor shall maintain commercial general liability coverage for their activities with a minimum liability limit of $1,000,000 per occurrence for bodily injury and property damage. The certificate of insurance shall name Clemson University as an additional insured. A certificate evidencing such coverage shall be provided at least 10 days in advance of the event start date to the reservation administrator associated with the reserved venue. Clemson University will not provide payment for medical care, or provide life or accident insurance coverage for students or others involved in Fraternal Organization activities, whether occurring on University property or any other location. 11.1 ELIGIBILITY Workers shall be eligible to participate in University benefit programs enumerated in this Article, provided they meet the eligibility requirements for each plan. The University may alter the criteria for eligibility, provided that no worker who has attained eligible status upon the execution of this Agreement is thereafter rendered ineligible because of the changes.
University Benefits. (Additional information on many University benefits noted in this section is available from the University Office of Human Resources website at xxxx://xx.xxx.xxx/benefits/). The Ohio State University agrees to provide:
1. An annual stipend commensurate with institutional guidelines and post graduate year that is uniform among clinical departments, pursuant to recommendations made by the Graduate Medical Education Committee and approved by the Associate Xxxx for Graduate Medical Education and the Chief Medical Officer. Stipend levels will be determined annually and this information will be distributed to Residents prior to the beginning of each academic year.
2. Professional liability insurance for professional medical services rendered within the scope of OSU employment and the residency/fellowship program at approved sites/rotations. This coverage is provided by the University Self Insurance Program, on an occurrence basis, with a minimum shared limit of liability of $1,000,000 per occurrence/ $3,000,000 annual aggregate. Outside professional activity performed for hire (moonlighting) is not covered with the exception of services provided at OSUWMC locations and previously approved in writing by the Chief Medical Officer.
3. Group Term Life insurance in an amount of two and one half times annual stipend, to a maximum of $250,000. Optional dependent group life plans are available for spouses, or same-sex domestic partner (separate affidavit required) and dependent children up to age twenty-six or when they no longer meet eligibility requirements if earlier. A variety of plans with varying premiums and limits of coverage are available.
4. Eligibility to enroll in the University-sponsored health insurance plans, which includes medical, dental and vision options. Premiums and coverage vary by plan and coverage level.
5. Upon employment, Resident will begin accruing sick leave benefit hours. This benefit provides the Resident full pay for up to the total number of hours that have been accrued. Xxxx leave does not accrue during unpaid leaves of absences. There is no limit on the number of hours that may be accrued. Full-time employees (100%) accrue 120 hours of sick leave per year. Appointments less than 100% accrue sick leave at a pro- rated amount according to time actually worked. No moonlighting while on sick leave is permitted.

11.2 OVERVIEW
A. The University shall continue to provide eligible workers with the flexible benefit program listed below. The actual plans available vary from year to year as announced during open enrollment. The Union receives advance notice of the plans that will be available during open enrollment.
University Benefits. 1. Employees in the unit are eligible to participate in a number of retirement, medical, dental, and other University benefit programs generally available to other eligible staff employees of the University.
2. For the life of this Agreement, the University's maximum monthly rates of contribution for employees in the unit who are eligible for and elect to take the medical plan and/or the dental plan shall be the same as the contribution rates for such plans for other employees. Costs in excess of University contributions are to be paid by employees, normally through payroll deduction.
