Employee Initiated Transfers a. Any permanent member of the bargaining unit may request a transfer at any time. Such requests shall be made in writing to the Human Resources Office and shall be maintained on file until honored or retracted by the unit member, for a period of six (6) months.
Employee Initiated Transfers. Employees who have served for three consecutive years at a school in the same classification may request a transfer on the appropriate transfer form. Employees may request a transfer to a specific location or unit/local district. Transfer requests by the employee may be submitted at any time, but no later than May 15 for a Fall assignment and November 15 for a Spring assignment, to the current administrative supervisor who shall forward the request to the Human Resources Division. The request shall then be forwarded by the Human Resources Division to the appropriate administrative supervisor for consideration.
a. Such transfer requests do not require that there be a known vacancy or opening at the time the requests are filed. Such requests shall be retained for assignment during the following semester, but may be renewed by the employee. To assist employees in requesting transfers, the following posting procedures shall be followed:
b. By May 1, the District shall post a list of known administrative vacancies (see e below) for the fall semester.
c. By November 1, the District shall post a list of known administrative vacancies (see e below) for the spring semester.
d. The administrator vacancies shall be posted in the Administrative Assignments Unit in the Human Resources Division. Posting shall include the classification title, work location, assignment basis, salary schedule, effective date of the assignment and the name of the contact person. Copies of the above lists shall be forwarded by the Human Resources Division to AALA at the time of the posting. AALA shall be responsible for disseminating the information to its unit members. In addition, the District shall be responsible for disseminating the information to its unit members. In addition, the District shall inform AALA of known vacancies which occur after the above posting dates but prior to the start of the Fall/Spring semester.
e. When an employee requests a transfer for two consecutive years, a formal review of the application will take place by the Office of the Superintendent, and priority consideration will be given such applicants including individuals serving in locations far from their residence.
f. In granting an employee-initiated transfer request, administrative seniority shall be considered as a factor, and when the District does not transfer the most senior qualified administrator requesting a transfer, the District shall, upon written request from that administrator, inform the adm...
Employee Initiated Transfers. In the event that compelling circumstances exist, employee(s) may request a transfer to a different work location by applying to the Manager of Human Resources. Such application shall be in writing with a copy to the Bargaining Unit President and shall provide a brief summary of the reason for the request. The employee may request the assistance of a Union/Bargaining Unit representative in discussions regarding the transfer request. The transfer shall be granted only with the mutual agreement of the Board and the Bargaining Unit. Such request shall not unreasonably be denied.
Employee Initiated Transfers. 1. A person desiring a transfer effective the following school year must fill out a form requesting reassignment. This request will be good for one year beginning April 15th of the current year. Requests submitted after April 15th may not be honored. A copy of this form must be sent to the Human Resources Director, the employee’s principal, and the principal to which the staff member wishes to transfer by April 15th of the school year.
2. All employee requests will be given equal consideration. The principal or designee will determine interviews and recommend assignments and transfers to the Superintendent. The Superintendent or Central Office designee shall make all staff assignments, transfers and employment decisions.
3. Employees requesting transfers may contact the Human Resources Office to learn of the disposition of the request.
Employee Initiated Transfers. An employee who desires to be transferred within his/her respective job class to a specific worksite within the Court submits a written request for transfer to the Human Resources Manager. Transfer requests shall be retained for a period of one (1) year from date of filing and must be renewed by the employee if he/she still desires to be considered for transfer. The Court shall respond to the request for transfer by notifying the employee of the status of their request within ninety (90) calendar days of its receipt. When the Court contemplates filling vacancies and/or openings by transferring employees from one worksite to a different worksite, the Court will consider the following criteria: • The overall needs of the Court • Requirements of job • Ability to perform job • The duration and/or permanence of the transfer • Length of service with the Court.
Employee Initiated Transfers a. Employees who wish to transfer positions to another school for compelling reasons are required to submit their request in writing to the Director of Instruction Human Resources by May 1. Such requests shall be acknowledged by district email.
i. Employees who were placed during recall in multiple positions at multiple schools shall be understood to have a compelling reason to request an employee initiated transfer.
b. The Director of Instruction Human Resources or designate shall arrange a meeting with the employee to discuss the circumstances of the request. The employee may be accompanied by a representative of the Association.
c. An employee who is not granted a request for transfer may, upon request made within seven (7) days of notification, meet with the Director of Instruction Human Resources or designate to discuss reasons for the decision. The employee may be accompanied by a representative of the Association.
Employee Initiated Transfers a) An employee who is transferred as a result of a successful application for a job vacancy, shall receive the rate for the job for which they apply; or
b) Any employee who requests and receives a transfer to a job in a lower wage group classification, shall receive the lower rate of pay.
Employee Initiated Transfers. Bargaining Unit members may submit a request for a transfer at any time by notifying the Human Resources Office of their desire to be transferred. Employees requesting transfer shall indicate the position and site they prefer to be transferred to within the internal vacancy posting period. Eligible bargaining unit members should also put in transfer applications for each vacancy they are interested in. When one or more unit members apply for a transfer to a vacant position, the applicant with the most seniority will be transferred provided the needs of the District are otherwise fulfilled. An employee who has once passed a written and/or performance test for a specific job classification will not be required to be re-tested for a transfer within the same classification.
Employee Initiated Transfers. 6.2.1 An employee-initiated transfer shall be defined as a transfer which is initiated by a permanent employee. Whenever feasible, transfers shall become effective ten
Employee Initiated Transfers. Any transfer that is the result of a request by an employee to change assignment.
1. Before advertising outside the District for any teaching position in the District, the District shall provide notice to all eligible licensed employees of new or vacant licensed positions. This internal notice shall be a minimum of three (3) business days prior to any external posting of licensed positions. The Association President may waive the minimum three-day (3-day) requirement if it is agreed upon with the District that the position is hard to fill or it is a matter of urgency. The internal posting shall inform eligible licensed employees of the procedure to follow if they wish to be considered an applicant for the position. Notification during the school year shall be by email to all certified and classified staff. A copy of the vacancies shall also be placed in the District office and a copy sent to the President of the Association.
2. Employees who desire a change in teaching assignment or wish to be considered for summer employment may file a written request with the Superintendent and that request shall be considered. If an employee wishes to apply for a specific position, then the employee must submit a complete application and supporting materials.
3. If an employee's request for a transfer has been denied, the employee shall receive, upon request, a written explanation of the reason(s) therefore from the Superintendent or building Principal.
4. Additional preparation time may be justified in transfers of a substantive nature. Additional time may be granted in the form of paid release time or extended contract time.
5. All employees who request a transfer to a specific position shall receive an interview for that position. District teaching experience shall be considered in the decision of whether to grant a transfer request.
6. Seniority shall be one of the criteria considered in employee-initiated transfers.
