If transfer becomes necessary under the terms of this Article, the District shall actively seek volunteers prior to making any involuntary transfer.

Certified staff being involuntarily transferred shall be given written notice prior to the transfer. At the written request of a certified staff member identified for transfer, a meeting will be held with the Superintendent or designee within ten (10) working days of the notification to review the reasons for the reassignment/transfer. In the event a certified staff member is involuntarily reassigned/transferred, that fact shall be a consideration the following school year should that certified staff member apply for a voluntary transfer to a permanently vacated position, provided the individual meets the criteria outlined in paragraph 6.3.
